I went shopping this morning and the store paper bags didn’t hold up to the very wet weather. The staff were so lovely and helpful and gave me a binliner to replace my by now disintegrating paper bags. Thank you so much. Little bit of Manchester magic right there.
Nice place if a bit high traffic and not enough tables, the staff were lovely and you can't complain about gettung to have lunch in a library, my main qualm is with the foods.
There's a goodly amount of sandwiches, wraps, cakes, buns and fruit but no real hot food, which I understand, but the price
Very helpful staff, lovely sausage barm! Relaxed, contemplative atmosphere as you might expect in a library, but you don't have to whisper 😄
Although the food is a little boring and the vegan options seem almost nill....I still enjoy going here and hanging out. Quite often take my own food as the vegan food isn't available when I go.
Colleagues favourite lunch spot. I had can & cake bake. Got a table when someone left so busy. Sandwiches coffees available.

A great find in Central Manchester. Browsed the local and family history stacks nextvto the cafe then enjoyed a cuppa.
Only had the hot chocolate and its alright. Nothing bad and nothing that special about it.
Decent, good priced coffee in a lovely building with a peaceful atmosphere. They do great cakes as well.
Service friendly and efficient with reasonable prices, but cold in winter as near to library entrance. Also a bit clinical and, like most of library building, lacks natural light.
Just standard, facilities in the library are great, cafe area is cozy, a bit cold as not far from the door. Tables were a bit dirty
