Pitch and putt good for kids and lower ability golfers.. can get busy so go early in morning.
Has main full 18 hole golf course for when you get better!
Very good pitch and putt course, has plenty of features and challenges that will bring you back playing it again and again - no two rounds are the same. Generally has been well maintained and a few holes now have new teeing off mats however some need replacing.
Came here first time last week with my lad we enjoyed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Small fee and deposit for club hire. Thought price was cheaper than it was but still not bad, will return 👍
Played yesterday and enjoyed every minute of it. I and friends taught ourselves on here in the 70s, young and fit and able to play dodge the
golf ball. The course has been altered and improved dramatically, still wild shots going on from some but we all start somewhere and it's not the easiest course for anyone let alone if you slice and hook every other shot.Very hilly and blind shots but for us it was great and we're 24&28Handicapers at least.
Really enjoyed playing it again after all these years All staff were great friendly and helpful and the regulars and other we spoke to were really friendly which is not always the case
One criticism please put some oxygen tanks around the course 😛😛
Great course and great value although your hitting 75% of your shots blind don’t be surprised if you lose a few balls
I’ve played here a lot over the years and the new guys running it have got it into the best condition I’ve ever seen it. Quite hilly and a lot of blind shots but if you’re hitting it straight it’s not a problem. Some excellent holes and some amazing views. One of the best courses in the north west without a doubt.
Great day out on the pitch and put course, good weather and really good fun with the kids (aged 10 + 11).
Only down side was the parking ticket I got when I returned to the car park, bought an all day ticket, but didn't park within the bay (thanks to the people who parked either side of me and left me the room to get a £50 fine)
Course very good . Played it on a Saturday afternoon 26/08/23. Payed £20 each (2ball) We are hald decent players and we're held up by another 2 ball who let us through on the 2nd green. We then got let through by a 4 ball on the 7th and this made for a 3 hour round . The course was in great condition fairways and greens. Tees are a bit tatty but that can be expected as a municipal course. I'd played it on numerous occasions my mates 1st time. He loved it even though he was pushing a trolley. I carry mine which is fine. Its a strenuous walk and can be unrelenting but their isn't a bad hole on the course. The variety is brilliant. We had a beer after . £8.00 for two cans (pint cans)sof Budweiser which is pretty expensive. I don't mind paying that and more for draught but a can it's rip off. Next time we'll have a beer at a nearby pub.
Fantastic pitch and putt course. Greens was a bit long so don't expect the ball to roll very far. But for six quid each I can't complain.
Loved it. Challenging course with lots of undulating fairways. Playing to a marker post sometimes because you can not see the green. Well maintained and friendly staff. Buggies available to hire. Hopefully will be playing there again soon.
A great beginner par 3 for someone just starting. Quite hilly, the holes are very similar but no complaints, cheap for 18 holes. Also the chance of seeing rabbits.
Final note- holes are 2-3x bigger than a normal golf course
Would of got 5 stars but for needing a bit of a update,ie new mats for starting your first stroke and some new flags.
As a new player had a good game.
Pitch & Putt is decent.
NO DRIVING RANGE anymore!
Not tried the golf course yet.
Very well designed old course full of character.
Pitch and Putt is a lovely little course also
