Best sandwich ever!
Had the smoked trout, pesto and rocket focaccia ... absolutely delicious.
We ordered the large between two of us, and it probably would've easily gone between 3 or 4. ( we managed to eat it all as it tasted so bloody good)
The bread was out of this world.
The all important coffee (cortado) was excellent
Staff were friendly, and had a nice chat about them.
I thought the pricing was reasonable.
Would highly recommend eating and drinking here.
Small and very hospitable cafe who encourage and support upcoming/small jazz artists and bands with a jazz night at the end of each month. We paid £5 for entry and the drinks were priced just right - what more to ask for?
A glass of read and some live music…
Overall great experience 🙌🏽
Now we’re talking. La Collina was a treat - they have a short, simple home-made lunch menu. I had gnocchi with Bolognaise sauce. Perfect portion size. Coffee was delicious and forced myself to have a pistachio cannoli alongside it. Matt the chef is a focused on flavour and dishes with a twist - you can taste it. Nice space to work from too. Back soon.
BACK AGAIN: La Collina is a hidden gem. The menu is developing from daytime only into an evening offering too. Matt, the creator and chef is passionate about the menu. New menu dropping in mid August. Go there.
22£ for these 2 plates, 1 brunch and 1 sandwich (mortadella)
Brunch 5 stars, delicious
Service 5 stars.
Sandwich 4stars. I would have expected 1-2 slices more of mortadella and would have preferred it warmer.
Nice warm friendly atmosphere. The staff greeted me and apologised for not serving me immediately. That was fine but after 5 minutes waiting (no one else in the queue) I was on the point of leaving when they served me. The foccacia sandwich was delicious and delivered within a few minutes of ordering. Tea in a pot was appreciated too (hate tea bag plonked in a mug of water). Cutlery and serviettes were available to help yourself. It would have been a nice touch if they'd offered to bring some over to me. However, overall it's a great place to stop.
Excellent food and service. Popped in when walking by and had the chicken foccacia to take away and it was really really good. Staff were also very friendly and chatty, informing me about how they are rotating the coffee supplier they use to keep it fresh. Will definitely be back, great food spot
Fantastic Cafe with great drinks, food, service & atmosphere. Have used multiple times for Catering Events which they provide a wide mix of Tuscan Sandwiches, Pasta & Rice Bowls which always go down a treat to our party. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous cafe on the edge of the furthest edge of the Northern Quarter. Wooden floored with comfy window stools to sit on and just watch the world go by.
Coffee and Cannoli... mmmmm. The Sicilian Ricotta was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and the Hazlenut Chocolate was gorgeous.
"Ah, but have you not tried the CHOCOLATE?" asked all of the staff as I left. "Honestly, that's the BEST. They're all good but that is just awesome."
Did I mention friendly and seriously enthusiastic staff? Well, I had no choice but to take an evidence-based approach and try it. It's... Really, Really Good, but it isn't ricotta.
A new favourite.
PS The mushrooms on toast are fabulous.
PPS Did I ever mention the Ricotta Cannoli?
went to have a morning dose of coffee right after opening hour and the strong lungo really made me perk up! also had a pistachio cannoli (the staffs recommended gluten free one) which tasted really good. good value for money too!
Great coffee, pastries and friendly service! Will definitely be back to try their lunch food as well.
Such a nice cafe!!!! Amazing & friendly service, very comfortable and nice to sit in. I definitely recommend it if I’m ever in the area again I’ll definitely be back.
Great coffee, delicious food, friendly service, inviting space... what else could you want? Would recommend 😋🙌
I was having a touristy stroll around the neighbourhood and stopped here to have a coffee.. the place looks really cozy and relaxing.. the quality of the espresso was pretty good but I was not amazed being this an italian place. Chill and appropriate music. The staff was really friendly and welcoming.. recommended..
Lovely ambience, super-friendly staff, authentic,
Imported Italian produce made from top quality ingredients, which arrives at your table almost as soon as you’ve requested it!! All at very reasonable prices too, I might add! 😍 Really looking forwards to going back. Highly recommended.
Good value delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. The staff are kind and smiling.
I had the Smoked Trout brunch, it was marvelous.
Delicious Italian-themed brunch breakfast with amazing bread and stunning Tuscan sausage. One of the very best breakfasts in Manchester no question.
The place is light and airy with plenty of space, loads of power sockets & decent WiFi. The staff are very friendly & helpful and take pride in the food and drink they create for you. Prices reasonable and quality is great!
Went to La Collina today with my wife for some breakfast / brunch and we were blown away by the quality of food and service we received. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was excellent and all staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back to this place when visiting Manchester and highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food and fantastic coffee. A special mention goes to their pistachio cannolis! Delicious! Can’t wait to go back.
Our favourite cafe/eatery in NQ! Amazing food (with great veggie options) & coffee, relaxed chill vibes and the BEST service. A regular here and it never disappoints.
Great staff and absolutely incredible food. Sandwiches are fantastic. R&B music playing. Plenty of people working on laptops so nice and quiet/chilled
