Authentic delicious food with friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Highly recommend any of the grilled meats that a cooked to order to perfection over their coal grill. Accompaniments are always delicious, rice or breads (which are huge themselves!) Restaurant for dining in or takeout with table service if eating in. Clean and cosy for families or a group of friends. I feel some chairs and tables at the front for use during hot weather days would top this place off.
All reasonably priced and well made. The only downfall is parking but that’s to be said of that whole road and nothing really they can do about it.
Was on a work trip in Manchester and a friend proclaim that this is one of the best place for dinner! It was indeed true! The tender and fragrance of the meat blended well with the bread and rice. Portion was generous and pricing is very reasonable. One of the best meal that left a lasting impression on my trip!
Nice place and good food , price is aint too bad either, downstairs seatings as well as upstairs which we prefered as family , however upstairs closes at 11:00pm while downstairs main section is open till 02:00AM. Place is nice and clean and ideal for a family night out.
Really like the kebab and rice. Quick service as well.
this is my go-to cause their rice is seriously the best! love mine with extra carrots :) the kobeda kebabs are always so so juicy and flavourful. their portions are generous, even when you're ordering them for takeout.
[update]
guys please give the people what they want (carrots & raisins), the plates look a little sad with only few pieces of them :( minus 1 star now, you can compare the older vibrant picture to current state of the single kobeda on rice
Definitely one of the best Kabuli pulao in Manchester. Been there a few times but only for this dish so cannot comment on other menu items. Although the interior decor has been updated over the year, the general cleanliness needs further improvement
Stunning food. Hard to find places in Manchester with genuinely good food. It's either overpriced or your paying for the decor. This place although could use some modernising hiwever if all you're looking for is quality food, this is it. I wasn't a fan of afghan food but I have been converted. You could just keep on eating the portions are so big and you don't get the sickly full feeling after!
Lovely food, pricing is fair because the portions you get is more then enough. I love the staff there they are vey welcoming and always happy to help with any requests. We usually go as a big group so they took care of us and were very patient with us too. Overall its amazing food, staff and very good atmoshpere with good arabic music in the background.
This is my favourite restaurant ever just everything is so good the rice the lamb chops the kebabs the chicken all of these I tried they’re so delicious and it’s never undercooked and staff and so friendly. And it’s affordable too
Very nice food and friendly staff. I tasted the rice with lamb. Very delicious and well done. A very big portion is provided
Al Jazeera’s Qabli Pilau is quite a nice generous portion, pleasantly impressed by the lentil dal provided with this dish. Sauces tasted a bit dodgy, not to my liking. Salad is standard for many of these places (at least it was given complimentary). I have had the Lamb Tikka before and I wasn’t impressed very much by it. The chicken tikka is nicer than the lamb tikka in my opinion. The lamb chops were nice and juicy maybe one of the best quality on Wilmslow Rd but they lacked flavour, I wish there was some sort of flavour to it. It’s a hit & miss with some of the items. Staff is friendly & willing to serve, with quick service.
Decent spot. Food was good. A little pricey compared to the rest of the street. Service was mediocre.
Delish food been coming here for years with family and by my self too, the kobedas are the best I usually order the grilled seabass with rice their hummus and spicy sauce is fresh too huge portions, they've started doing fresh apple, orange and pineapple juice I had the apple amd pineapple juice tasted so good it's a healthier option. They've now opened a chicken shop next door too need to try that, staff is always friendly and willing to go the extra mile :-)
The food is very delicious and the rice is so fluffy - no wonder as I heard good stuff about it and that's why I visited thi Eid! I had chicken-al-faham and it was very good, decent portion - very generous in fact (however, the chicken portion is small compared to the rice but came with salad and sauces, which was not bad). It is a pity that they don't do lamb-al-faham but chicken was good enough. I'd definitely recommend this place and would visit again in the future. *Comment: make sure you wash your clothes after you step into this place because too much smoke everywhere :D
