A few reviewers have commented about how the staff here are more friendly and attentive than the other Martins bakers. I really agree with that. Not to say that all staff at other branches are not friendly though, but there are particularly nice here.
I take my builders van to be repaired nearby .I pop in here for a sandwich or a pie now and then. The staff here seem more friendly and attentive than the other Martins bakers I have visited whilst on the Road. Nothing seems to much trouble for them. Always generous amounts of salad on my sandwich and the meat and potato pies are always hot and fresh. PLEASE DON'T replace these staff with incompetents and jobsworths from Woodley
Proper sandwiches and baked items
The staff are nice, mostly. The assistant manager never seems to want to be there but everyone else is wonderful and those Cajun Chicken buns are out of this world. Highly recommend ππ»
Lovely fresh made sandwiches and pasties, steak bakes are the best iv ever had and nothing is to much trouble for the young girl working there very friendly and helpful ππππ

I like to think of Martins as your local bakery (definitely not artisan but good fresh loaves), crossed with a pastry shop that is artisan in comparison to the processed crap Greggs dishes out. I may be biased but i wouldn't change a word.....unless my spelling mistakes are that blatant.
