I need some comfort - I've been working so hard for weeks, I'm an Aspiring writer you see and I'm far too tired tonight, to cook though I'll keep on working all the same. I know the 'owner' he's a charming warm spirited guy, a nice person with a ruddy sunny complexion, always got a smile and softness in his voice, that's good as we all know business and life ain't easy.  Respect to him and his intention. The staff are nice too, if only you, of course, 'care' to treat them as you'd like to be treated, you see they're not 'robots' they're Human. Now back to the issue of needing comfort, like YOU, I don't want to cook tonight and so I'll be there supporting my fellow Jamaican/Human buying a meal or two, one that 'I' know will comfort my desire not to cook while nourishing my body too. Soup, I want and 'soup' I hope I'll get with:- firm dumplings cassava, yam, pumpkin, garlic, pimento, nuff pepper, fresh thyme, - sweet Jamaican rhythm and meat washed down in lime. Maybe, I'll call ahead letting the Owner that well spirited Natty Dread, know that I'm coming just so my soup won't be sold out, let me give him a shout! I'm paying not looking favour's only flavours- I'm a customer that's all nothing more, just 'one of many!' hey I've seen that written somewhere before, oh I remember it's on a Dollar note or should I say notes in a land far far away and God knows I wish I was there now.  Again, back to Jerk Junction, some person below my review complained and all I got to say is we all have bad days, but judge NOT less we be judged. Are you slanderah BELOW perfect? Lets be- Fair and nothing else.... In Jamaica, we have a saying it goes someting like this 'Easy nuh, tek time think before you speak! Why because darlin, we're ALL humans and none of us is perfect.  How about you?

I actually found this jerk a little spicier than the Whalley Range branch but it does not seem to get as busy and lacks a little atmosphere generated by the ‘local characters’.

Myself and my mate Mark visited jerk junction on a Sunday afternoon. This is my second visit to this eatery. The food is that good, I took my mate who likes Caribbean food. I ordered curry 🍛 goat 🐐 and Mark had brown stew. Both our meals were really tasty and good-sized portions. The food is some of the best Caribbean food I've eaten, and well worth the travel from Liverpool that we made. The staff are really friendly and they served us promptly. Prices are reasonable. You can either take away or dine in. It's a rustic place, but nevertheless, it was nice to sit and eat our meals 😋 on site. If you're in the area and like authentic Caribbean food, pop into jerk junction 😋

Wow! The jerk chicken was absolutely exceptional here! Seasoned and cooked to perfection, alongside the delicious rice, peas and gravy, it was truly mouth watering. Great vibe of a place too, with exceptional service. Can’t wait to be back here!

Arrived at around 8pm which is late for a Caribbean restaurant and of course most things sold out plus they were reopening so had a few busy days prior I had the scotch bonnet wings and seasoned fries The wings were amazing you get exactly 5 decent sized wings cut in half with a lovely sauce I was expecting it to be a little hotter with a spicy kick but was more on the sweet side the presentation was top tier too! The seasoned fries for £2.40 had no seasoning on But overall a good friendly service had to wait a little bit the wings were worth it but for £8.50 I would have rather had a dinner but they were all sold out Go early as this is a popular spot!!

Its been a few years since we last came as its not really local to us and a lot has changed. I love the new seating area, it looks great, and I love the way the food is presented. The food looks and tastes great. 😋 totally gonna visit again soon.

First time and won't be the last. We ordered Jerk chicken and rice, a curry (unsure what meat it was as the Mr ordered) and a freshly made Mac n cheese. It was all amazing, can't fault it at all, enjoyed everybit and will be visiting this place more! The staff are great and we didn't wait long for the food either x

Have been eyeing this place since forever! The last time I wanted to come they were closed for a few weeks for holiday. So glad I've finally get to try it, well deserved for the award! Took my mate here as well and she hasn't had Caribbean food before so was surprised by how big the portions are! Lovely vibe, lovely staff, was great value for the food. They didn't have white rice while we're there but the other rice is just as good.

10/10 for food. I've been coming here every time I've been in Manchester now for over 5 years and it never disappoints. Turned up this week to see it had been given a tidy reno and nice little seating area and gladly obliged. All those people gassing about prices going up need to have a reality check: there has been a global pandemic which killed half the indie restaurants; there has been an unprecedented rise in energy costs which is killing the other half of the indie restaurants and, crucially, this place was always too reasonably priced anyway! £16 for (a lot of) jerk chicken, rice and peas, gravy, lamb patty, dumpling and ginger beer is not expensive by any standard, especially at the very high standard here. Would recommend to anyone.

Such a beautiful setting here I just love the layout. The fact they have plugs by your table allowing you to charge your phone while you eat is really Handy. The food was lovely I even saved some for after. The staff were also so friendly and polite. The food didn't even take that long and it was fresh. You definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommend. My go to from now on whenever I pass through Manchester. 10/10.

Quite simply the best jerk chicken I've ever had. The meat was juicy, meaty and beautifully cooked, with just the right amount of crispness. And the sauce was perfectly sweet and spicy. This gives me another reason to love Manchester!

Tye's cooking at Salford Quays Jerk Junction was superb. Loved the Jerk chicken with a side of dumplings. Not too spicy, dumplings were perfectly crisp, good portion, chicken was juicy and falling off the bone. Sublime!

As always Jerk junction serves up great authentic Caribbean food. Jerk chicken is cooked on a barrel drum bbq like it would do traditionally with a great flavoured rice n peas. You can’t go wrong.
