Surprising this was my first visit to this classic boozer. Because of its location, there is an eclectic mix of young and old, and it has really nice vibes. We watched the football and then there was a blues band straight after, who were great and have a monthly Friday slot. Definitely worth a visit
Best pie. Can't believe I ate all the pastry! Loads of tasty filling. We had three different pies and all really enjoyed. A GEM of a pub that we stumbled on.
Fantastic Pub! Fantastic live music Friday nights! Lovely Staff and customers 😀 Had a brilliant night there. Can highly recommend 👌
Used to come years ago and it wasn't bad but more of an old man pub vibe. Popped in yesterday with my partner for one and ended up having three or four. Good music, lovely guy behind the bar making ice boats for our gins. (Manager/one of the owners?) Didn't catch his name but he made the experience
We all enjoyed the pies, they were absolutely delicious. The young girl serving though was extremely sour. Clearly she hates customers and this is a bit off putting.
Food was great and prepared well, drinks were great and pub looked very nice. Would definitely come again
Went for bottomless brunch. Food was top drawer and the booze was frequently refreshed. That's all you can ask, really
Excellent cheese board on a Tuesday. Can accommodate 2x games in the pub.
Great pub for a few beers with mates. Didn't eat in there, so can't comment on the grub. Great pub, great location.
For an average side of the road pub it was a great atmosphere. After the pubs have been closed for so long. Went in for 1 pint but stayed for 4. Table service, and the bar tender Cam was amazing with great banter and very attentive to customers needs. He knew what we wanted before we even ordered an
You have to try the "Moo and Blue" pie, steak and Stilton. I think it's the best pie I've ever had. Also a nice pub with a good atmosphere.
Traditional pub. Only had one quick drink. The pub had a few in it. Nice relaxed atmosphere. It's in Didbury Village near a lot of other bars and pubs. Maybe one to stop off, have a drink and check out, whilst bar hopping. Didn't notice menus, so not sure if they serve food. I will have to go back a
Very impressed with the refurbishment. They have managed to retain the charm of the old pub and open it up and make it feel more contemporary. What us equally important is that the quality of service has not changed even though the staff have. A country mile better than most pubs in the area. Price
Great interior! cosy pub atmosphere but clean and well maintained. Feels classy and upmarket but still reasonably priced drinks and friendly helpful staff. Smartly dressed barmen helped me choose from their great selection of gins and didn't make me feel bad for being very indecisive. I'll definitel
Very loud after 9pm, no doubt due to people taking advantage of the £3 per pint offer on Thursdays. One bar tender young, polite and helpful, the other perfunctory. Nice and clean. Four stars attributable to the beer offer !
A good selection of real ale or craft beer in a nice setting and atmosphere. I hadn't been to Didsbury for many a year and this looked liked the most appealing place and we weren't disappointed. The staff were fine the beer good and decoration pleasant and appealing. Look forward to going back.
