I went for the Chicken Katsu Curry and it was so delicious and tastey with half the calories of other Katsu Curry's- I'd highly recommend this.

TLDR: THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE (and do not ignore the milkshakes, mochas and matcha), for a BRILLIANT price. Consistently good. I cannot recommend Knoops enough. I’ve been going since it first opened and it deserves every penny that I’ve spent going here. Recommendations: 54% iced chocolate, 28% milkshake and 70% hot chocolate with mint (and marshmallow on top).

Chocolate Café? Yes please!!! The menu options are overwhelming, but despite the queue, I didn't feel rushed to make a decision. There was a menu card by the till that we grabbed to look at while we waited and that helped us make the right choice. We both chose the 54% dark hot chocolate, size small, along with 2 giant Pain au Chocolates, which we couldn't resist after seeing the pastry counter! I don't particularly like hot chocolate normally, but my goodness, this was the most amazing hot chocolate I've ever tasted!! It was so rich but not too sweet, and because it was dark chocolate, it was beautifully smooth to the last drop. For our order, we paid £13.20 and I felt like it was worth every penny. There isn't a lot of space to sit, but we got lucky and found a seat in the back of the cafe. I found the staff really friendly and helpful and it was 100% worth a visit!!

Went to Knoops today to try their new Wonka drink. It was nice but very much a standard drink nothing special. We also tried out their 28% white chocolate hot drink. I’d definitely recommend if you like sweeter drinks. Only issues: Staff was quite abrupt and rude to customers. I understand it’s a high pressure environment but there should be a sense of discretion when it comes to speaking to paying customers.

Brand new Knoops store in Manchester! Such a heavenly experience that is not to be missed by chocolate aficionado in the area. They have extensive menu of chocolate beverages which included a wide range of origins and cocoa percentages, and vegan options. We can customize order with an array of toppings like marshmallows, whipped cream, salt, spices. I opted for their 70% dark chocolate drink. It was perfect, balanced, rich and smooth with a hint of sweetness. It was overall fantastic and enjoyable.

I had the 35% white hot chocolate and it was delicious! I also tried the 34% milk hot chocolate and that was also delicious! It had a lovely chocolate/caramel flavour, nearly had to order one for myself! The cakes looked amazing, will have to try one next time I visit.

Such a great concept and shop in the heart of Manchester - their main selling point is hot chocolate but you can also buy coffee and tea as well as sweet treats here. It seems overwhelming at first especially if you've never been and have no idea what chocolate percentage you will like, but they let you taste the chocolate before you commit and they have lots of different options from white to extra dark, as well as vegan options. They have recommendations or "Knoopology" which suggests which flavours go with which %, but you can also ask the server what they recommend. We ordered a regular 43% (milk) with oat milk and a 54% (dark) with oat milk and orange. The 43% was quite sweet but had nutty and biscuity flavours which was tasty, and it was very smooth and had the perfect thickness unlike when you make hot chocolate with powder and water/milk. The 54% with orange tasted exactly like a Terry's chocolate orange and again was smooth and not too thick or thin in consistency. There's a bit of seating round the back and in the front of the shop but when it's busy you may not get a seat and it can be a bit crowded. Would definitely like to come back though to try the other flavours.

Hit up the new Knoops in Manchester recently, and boy, it's like hitting the chocolate jackpot! Sampled a 96% dark chocolate milkshake that was just out of this world, probably the best shake I've ever laid lips on. Already stoked to try the orange blend on my next visit. And that's just the tip of the cocoa iceberg - their menu is chock-full of international chocolates with varying cocoa percentages and even some ace vegan options. Loved the personal touch of picking and choosing my own toppings - had a 70% dark chocolate drink with a pinch of salt that was just heavenly. Rich, smooth, and a sweet hint that hits the spot. All in all, the delightful team at Knoops has put Manchester firmly on the chocolate lover's map!

Got a 43% and 54% chocolate both with nutmeg and orange. Tastes very much like Terry's chocolate orange and might even go to 60% . Person at the till was also very nice and patient and giving some really nice chocolate mixture recommendations.

Best thing I’ve ever tasted. Absolutely no exaggerations this place is unreal. I got a 34% milk chocolate milkshake with sea salt and my bf got a white chocolate milkshake with vanilla and sea salt. Both were absolutely delicious, not sickly sweet or over the top, just chocolaty and creamy. Could have gone straight back for another. Staff were really friendly and we were served really quick. I signed up for their loyalty scheme and got a free drink as it was my birthday. We’re planning to go back asap.

I've had their 34% iced chocolate a few times over summer and today I tried their hot chocolate for the first time. Beautifully frothy and not too sweet. Staff were friendly and helpful and the drink was served very quickly. Will definitely be coming back for more this Winter!

Would recommend to any hot chocolate lovers. There’s plenty of variety, I would recommend the 54% for anyone after a good standard hot chocolate, but don’t be afraid to try out the higher percentages. Easily the best hot chocolate in Manchester, definitely worth waiting in the queue.

Incredible drinks and high quality chocolate. Definitely add the signature spices to your drinks according to the recommendations on the menu, it changes the drink completely and it’s really lovely. Quite busy and not enough sitting spaces, don’t expect a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The drinks are worth it though!

Love the hospitality of the server with the hijab! She is so nice, hope the owner give you a rise. I ask for the 54% hot chocolate, and thankfully its not too sweet, but damn hot, i burn my tongue. So you need to patiently wait a while to drink the hot one, but its damn delicious! Next time i will try the stronger one. My friend try their white chocolate, and it tastes almost like a condensed milk, while my other friend try the 54% milkshake, and its too sweet for me and him (i believe its because they mix it with an ice cream). If you dont like drink thats too sweet, just try something with stronger than 54% and not the milkshake. The service is fast, but because there are many people that chatting after they get their order, the seat is often full, so i hope they give more seat in the restaurant.
