I was there for a week and it was amazing!! Heritage style hotel rooms!! Very good housekeeping and breakfast was amazing!! Great options for vegetarians as well!! Also this is in a prime location and you can go to fancy restaurants and places nearby like art galleries etc.
Hotel staff is very customer orientated providing a good guest experience. I recommend to stay here.
Well kept hotel in a good location, easy to navigate Manchester City centre simply by walk. You don’t need to stay near Piccadilly Station, stay here.
I recommend to book superior room: you get comfortable room with best views and amenities. Only minor issue was the small gap between a door and floor to the hallway but I slept undisturbed.
Decent breakfast with an omelette of your choice.
Popped in for a tour of the hotel in advance of a business booking. The conference facilities are great, the bar/restaurant were fab, and the rooms are very nice for the price. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here. Lots of outdoor space for the summer too.
Super friendly greeting. Absolutely ancient lifts which I could hear IN MY ROOM. Good tea/coffee biscuit selection. Walls must be quite thin as could make out the words the children next door were saying 😅
Great shower pressure and lovely fluffy towels. Staff consistently friendly and helpful throughout.
Stayed at the Victoria and Albert hotel this week along with colleagues.
From the minute I checked in to the minute I checked out, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Check in was very easy, and was welcomed by the friendliest staff you could wish to meet.
My room was spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was one of the comfiest I have slept on, and wish I could have taken it home with me.
In the large bathroom, I had everything I required - fluffy towels, as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied.
Evening meals and breakfasts were top quality - choice of full English, continental as well as a menu where you could order omelettes etc.
Every member of staff I encountered were professional and tentative.
I must give a special shout out to Samuel (breakfast) and Georgina. These employees were amazing and a credit to not just the Hotel, but to the Marriott brand!
I will most definitely be returning- whether for business or pleasure!
One of my favourite places I've ever stayed. It's a very nice location and rooms don't feel like your typical hotel rooms, rather a bit like a cabin, with its low ceilings, wood rafters and exposed brickwork. The room was tastefully designed and bathroom was of a decent size.
The hotel was great, it had a restaurant/bar that served good food, service was really good.
The room was very nice, warm and comfortable.
Parking is available on site but you have to pay for it.
The hotel is walking distance from the center of Manchester which was handy. Overall excellent and would recommend it

An old mill by the ship canal that has been very nicely turned into a hotel. It has an easy entrance for the halls round the back, food is good and the breakfast better than most. Rooms are clean and well laid out, staff really helpful. Parking not great, about eight spaces and very few seemed empty. NCP around the corner is very expensive even with the reduction offered by the hotel. But the hotel is warm and really loved the way the old mill has been treated.
A lovely hotel in the heart of Manchester but off the main road. There is parking, but it is extremely limited, and it was full by the time I arrived, so I had to use the local NCP charging £20 (including the hotel discount) for 24 hours.
The hotel itself looks great and was converted from a warehouse, I believe. As said, it looks great, the downside was a lack of soundproofing. Unfortunately, a guest nearby had an awful cough, which kept them and me up all night, as I could hear them quite clearly.
I didn't have dinner there, but I had drinks in the bar, which were a little pricy, but not wholly unreasonable. I had the optional breakfast for £15, and it was pretty tasty.
All of the staff were great. I may stay here again, but it is not a given due to the lack of soundproofing. Also, they were udating the lifts, which left only one of them working, and it did give of Final Destination vibes, so I opted for the stairs when possible.
Couldn’t give it 5 stars for the room as the AC didn’t work and we had to use the window to cool the room down which then we could hear all the noise outside.
The room was excellent bathroom excellent hotel is excellent overall.
I was delighted by the exemplary service and hospitality provided by Harun and Andreas at the front office, and Liz from the restaurant team.
Harun and Andreas welcomed me with genuine warmth, ensuring a seamless start to my stay. Their hospitality extended beyond mere professionalism, creating an atmosphere of genuine care and attentiveness throughout my time at the hotel.
However, it was Liz from the restaurant team who truly stood out with her exceptional service and charm. Not only did Liz provide attentive and personalized recommendations, but her warmth and genuine passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction. She went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional, leaving a lasting impression with her delightful charm and impeccable service.
Overall, the combined efforts of Harun, Andreas, and Liz made my visit to Marriott Hotel an unforgettable one. Their dedication to providing exceptional service and genuine hospitality sets a standard that is truly commendable.
We had an enjoyable stay. The room was lovely and well equipped; the breakfasts were substantial with lots of variety. The staff in general were friendly, but when we had an issue with the cost of an extra night, frustratingly I had to explain the problem multiple times at reception, there was never a manager on site, and no one had authority to make a decision. The hotel location was perfect for us and the staff were on hand to order taxis etc.
We had a great time staying at the Victoria and Albert Manchester Marriott. The hotel itself is lovely and the rooms are remodeled and fresh. Our room had 2 floors with 2 bedrooms and a living space. So lovely! There is so much charm and beautiful red brick. They have decorated for Christmas and the entire hotel is festive. The location is amazing and a short walk to the City center and great shopping and restaurants. Breakfast is in a lovely restaurant that overlooks the River Irwell. They also serve cocktails in the evening. We are also only 15 minutes from the Manchester United stadium, which is a plus. We had a great experience here!
Fab hotel..very easy to get too and close to everything.. staff were friendly and very easy to deal with..food was fab.. maybe a little expensive but very tasty.. .. great stuff guys..
Rooms are very comfortable, closest a hotel has felt to a home. I enjoyed my stay and the staff were great.
The hotel room has a rustic appearance with wooden beams and brick walls. My room was clean, cosy and the bed was very comfortable. The furnishings are of high quality. The reception staff were very helpful and helped me out when I lost track of time and got a bit late for checkout.
