The place gets crowded on a weekend but the food is as close to an authentic taste as possible. Had dimsums, chicken feet and duck dishes.

First time visiting here for dim sum and they do 3 for £12 with free Chinese tea offer every day between 12-4pm. We were seated in their private / events room which gave us some privacy and peace. The service was good. The waiting staff were attentive even though we were tucked away from the main area. The range of dim sum is acceptable under this offer. We ordered 9 dim sum between the 3 of us. The food came swiftly yet still hot in temperature. I wouldn't say the dim sum were exceptionally great but still very good. They added 15% gratuity which wasn't optional to the bill. We were happy to pay but it would be nice if they mention this on the menu. I'd still come back for the 3 for £12 and free Chinese tea offer though.

Good value for dim sum. Taste was not bad, just not sure if the dim sum was freshly made. It seemed like frozen food from Chinese supermarket.

All dishes we ordered tonight were fairly delicious. Roasted duck and the soup that came with it are especially recommended. Beef slices and fried squids are also nice. Overall it’s a Chinese restaurant above average in Manchester.

We just popped in last minute for their lunch deal as the price and food looked great. We were seated quickly and the staff were very attentive, taking our order almost immediately. I chose the seafood soup noodle (sorry I couldn’t wait for the picture) and my other half had a selection of dim sum. All the food was hot and delicious and we were very satisfied at the end. The prices were great and the food was amazing. I wouldn’t miss out on the lunch deal as it gives you a chance to try out a lot of different foods at a very reasonable price. Thank you to all the staff!

Our 1st time, though some of our family members had been before and had recommended. Enjoyed our meal with the family. Lovely food, good service, nice surroundings. Would come back again.

the char siu in the three roast meats rice was pretty good but the duck was mainly bone and the roast pork was too fatty. the noodle dishes (seafood hor fun + veg crispy chow mein) had loads of toppings but were quite bland and lacked wok hei. the dim sum was also a bit hit or miss - the standouts were the stuffed beancurd rolls (v flavourful and well filled), purple sweet potato har gau (so pretty!) and the steamed brown sugar cake (perfect sweetness and super fluffy). i would pass on the xlb (skin was too thick and v little soup) and fried meat parcel (basically empty) though… overall, it is 100% great value for money not only bc of the lunch time deal but their portions as a whole are very generous. however, i felt a lot of the dishes were just standard and lacked a wow factor. i would come back tho bc i feel like there are only a few improvements needed!

We stopped over for a quick bite and accidentally found Pinwei. We had looked at several menus in the windows, but this menu was displayed neatly in the window. Everything looked neat and tidy from the outside so we decided to try it. Lovely decor and fitting for the resturant style. Food was quick to be served and looked exacts it did in the menu which makes for a refreshing change. Restrooms where neat, tidy and no unpleasant smells. Food was great and even my kids loved it. Yes, it's a tad pricey but the quality is there and the taste too, so it's worth it. The staff were great too and very accommodating, as was the manager. I would definitely be back and highly recommend.

Appreciate the great service and food here! So far, we've been spending quite a couple of our lovely afternoons at Pinwei Chinese Restaurant. Staff are friendly and offered assistance attentively, and the dim sum and main dishes are consistently delicious, we've gotten the seafood Cantonese egg noodles in soup, Custard bun, spare ribs, prawn and minced pork dumplings, Beef Rice rolls, Stir Fried Flat noodles, Siu Long bao, Chiu Chow dumplings, Beef dumplings with Ginger and Onions, Sichuan spicy wonton in red oil! Certainly made our day with the fantastic food here at Pinwei!

Nice food and friendly staff. We always get food coupon for the next visit as we ordered so much food. I love the spicy beef and roast duck with pancake. Lamb stew is a little bit watery with the sauce. The golden yolk fried prawn and tofu are very tasty too.

Visited around two weeks ago. Staff were super friendly and efficient, atmosphere was lovely and food was delicious and served quickly. A special shout out to our lovely waiter who's name we don't recall but who was delightful - we hope you enjoyed your trip to Amsterdam!

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant! We have tried many Chinese restaurants in and around Manchester City Centre and this is up there with the best. The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and attentive, and the decor is modern and stylish. Some restaurants are too noisy but this one provides a very calm atmosphere even when it’s extremely busy like tonight when we celebrated a family birthday. I should also commend Pinwei Restaurant highly on its menu; I’m non-Chinese speaking so I’ve had to jot down the Chinese names of my favourite dishes phonetically over the years at various restaurants and then try to pronounce them as best I can, often resulting in blank looks. Pinwei’s menu has clear photos and/or descriptions in English which is totally refreshing and SO helpful. Additionally, I now know exactly how much each item on the menu costs…and their prices are very competitive! Well done 👏🏼
