Visited a few times here now and I’m always thankful for how welcoming staff are. We’re always well looked after and the food here is spot on. A more authentic Chinese food experience than the more westernised takeaways, with so much to choose from. Both times I’ve ordered way too much, but leaving like with a food baby is always worth it.

Popular restaurant with absolutely authentic dim sums and Chinese cuisine. The staff are busy but still friendly. The egg tarts are perfect but so popular that you have to order very early. You can pay by either cash or card.

Really good Dim Sum lunch. Especially enjoyed the Siu Mai, savory croquetes and crystal crab dumplings. Make sure you order a portion of chilli oil, it's really hot and delicious. Service was quick and friendly and I was given a huge pot of Chinese tea. Looking forward to retuning and trying other parts of the menu

This restaurant is located on 1st floor but its worthy to make some steps to find decent, authentic Chinese food with good service. Big menu with lot of options but dim sum menu is available only from 12 - 5.30 pm. Hot and sour soup smashing, fried rice to die for and dim sum starter platter fantastic. All food we tried were tasty and fresh. Edit 02/2022: we came back for Dim Sum menu and it was fantastic !!!

Great experience here for lunch yesterday. Welcomed on arrival at top of staircase entrance. Seated and offered drinks promptly. Shared Set meal B and sat back and enjoyed a veritable feast of excellently cooked food. The place was buzzing with people enjoying the food and company. Definitely recommended.

A great experience. This was my third time to this place. A large variety is available, the taste is great and the service awesome. Went there with two friends from China and they like the food as well. Love the custard buns. Fried or steamed. Some of the pork dishes are great. We always get conjee, chicken feet and custard buns. Worth a visit....

The ingredients of the dim sums are freshly prepared. Every dish is instantly steamed. Its roast duck, roast pork and bbq char siu are very yummy. They aren't salty and the skins of the duck and pork are crispy.

We have been going for meals here for over 30 years. We have never been disappointed. The building its self and the decor is in dire need of repairs. But with this restaurent we are always willing to over look the slight roughness of the room. There are always plenty of customers there, and mostly of the Chinese community. The food is always fresh and delicious, and not too salty like alot of other Chinese restaurent foods. Definatley worth a trip.

I come here often, and it’s always worth it! Some of the dim-sum can be slightly greasy, but other than that, it’s delicious! There’s no other word to describe it!

Parked up in Chinatown in the rain and into an empty Jade City, well it was almost 4.00 in the afternoon. CoVid T&T scan at the door and posters across the walls so it's hard to miss. Plenty of space between tables, all the staff in type 2 masks and plenty of sanitizer stations. Check. A pot of Chinese tea, bowls, chopsticks and side plates and we're ready. I throw myself on the wisdom of the server to fill our table with treats. Char siu pork buns. Beef and ginger dumplings. Pork and prawn dumplings. Roast duck, char siu pork and pork belly platter. Mixed dim sum platter with more beef and ginger dumplings and more pork and prawn plus spring rolls, seaweed, crispy wonton. Dee-lish.

Yum cha at it’s best. Don’t let the fact that you might be the only non-Cantonese speaker here put you off. They also extend a warm welcome to Mandarin and Hokkien speakers. The fact that they do such bustling business is indicated by the fact that they’ve not seemed to have written an English menu. Now I stuck with my tried and tested orders. The Xiao Long Bau was good but not a patch on Din Tai Fung’s (sigh). Although duck’s feet were available, I heeded my server’s advice and stuck with the humble chicken. I’ve been hooked on these ever since I tried them at Maxims. The cheung fun did not disintegrate, which is a common complaint. I opted for a crispy filling this time. In short, it’s never a question of ‘Should we yum cha’ but really ‘Where should we yum cha?’ To which the answer is now Jade Garden. PS please excuse my talk of drinking tea but not mentioning it at all. I was too busy scoffing the Dim Sum.

Authentic and tasty Chinese restaurant that won't left you financially strained at the heart of Manchester's Chinatown. Great food and friendly staff, if you have problem ordering ask staff for help, they will be more than welcome to translate and suggest some dishes.

Amazing as always. Went on a Sunday for dimsum but also got the pork noodles and Peking duck. Cannot fault anything, also the service was great! Can't wait to come back 😊

My parents' favourite for dim sum when they come to visit us in Manchester. We usually walk there as parking is expensive in city centre / Chinatown. Friendly service and the food is in decent portion at reasonable price. Highly recommended for dim sum in city centre.
