sat here to try some macarons which were overall decent. some flavours better than others. the macarons were about £1.60 each of you’re sitting in, a little less if takeaway
pistachio: mediocre, overly sweet and no pistachio flavour.
salted caramel: excellent flavour, texture was better than pistachio.
vanilla: really good texture and flavour
chocolate: least sweet macaron (which is a good thing), decent crunch.
banoffee pie: best texture out of the bunch but not much flavour
i had fun eating the macarons! the cafe was very packed on the saturday we visited.
I purchased the double chocolate gateau celebration cake for my 50th birthday and it was perfect! It was very easy to book it via email then later confirmed some details e.g. additional writing over the phone. The cake was beautiful and tasted absolutely heavenly! I am looking forward to another special occasion when I need another cake so I can order one from Bisou Bisou Bakery. A real treat!!!

What we ordered: Double chocolate Gateaux
Thoughts 💭
Wow. What can I say. This was so decadent and even though it was double chocolate it was super moreish. I haven’t tasted gateaux as superior as this both and whilst we weren’t intrigued by a lot of the cakes this stood out like a rockstar and delivered on it too.
One of the very few places in Manchester, nay, one of the few places in the UK where you can get decent bread! The nearest place with better bread is on the continent ;-) The pastries from the patisserie are excellent too, I found the Mango one especially good. Croissants are of French quality. Locals, go get your bread here, you won't regret it.
I come here often. Fantastic coffee and freshly baked pastries, bread etc. Comfortable seating area in the back.
Love the Didsbury cafe, quaint and always super friendly staff who are patient and attentive. Now for the desserts, absolutely delicious! Their dessert menu changes every 6 months but this is enough time to work through all the tasty cakes and bakes they make. Especially the salted caramel eclair! Recommended to anyone visiting didsbury village, also the creme brulee ice cream is yummy.
Gorgeous patisserie from this lovely gem of a place, wonderful atmosphere and service, will definitely be back to try another one .
Some of the best French desserts around in the Didsbury area no joke! Me and my family will be returning immediately! 5* across the board!
Fantastic coffee and all dishes.
Amazing pastries, cakes and bread. My friend said she had the best croissant she's ever had in England! They are really nice as well!
