Amazing Scandinavian style bakery located right in the heart of Islington wharf. The kids and I had been exploring Mayfield Park (approx 15 mins walk from the wharf) and decided to head to Pollen for some brunch. The bakery was extremely busy when we arrived, however this didn't deter us from waiting for a table. We chose to sit inside but there were several seats outside too. Our servers were very friendly and despite the wait the food and coffee was exceptionally good and very reasonably priced. The egg breakfast muffin was delicious and the neapolitan cookie was very enjoyable. If I lived near by I'm sure I would be regular as this bakery is truly my kind of place.

Soooo good, freshly baked goods daily, what else do you want. Everything we tried was delicious pastry’s nice and flaky. Cakes deliciously rich in flavour and moist. Salmon on toast fresh from the kitchen, really really yummy and also plated very nicely. Everything as expected 👍. Massive queue on the weekend we went but kind of expected that. Took some cookies for the train journey home which I was soooo happy to have while sitting in a full and stuffy train.

We went mid morning on a Saturday, there was a Q but it didn’t take long and we got seated quickly. Food looked and tasted amazing! We got the sausage and egg brioche bun and the Tiramisu French toast! Both were incredible! We also got some Focaccia and other pastries to take home! I’m definitely coming back!

Went there on a Saturday morning. People were in a long queue but since we were dining in, there were plenty of tables. I really liked the hash brown bun thing. For me the latte with caramel syrup wasn’t sweet enough for me that i had to ask for extra sugar. But my partner said it was the best cappuccino knowing how many cafes and bakeries we went to. Price was affordable too. Worth the visit xx

One of the best places in Manchester for brunch, the food is delicious and you can taste the quality of the ingredients. The fresh bread makes the difference. The environment is good, also the friendly staff is always there for recommendations.

Positives: 1) Very good pastries (croissants and pain au chocolate), 2) good coffee, 3) also recommended trying the cheesecake. 4) despite being full, the waiter gave us the menus and took or orders very quickly. Negatives: 1) the hour long queue barely makes it worth it. The couple in front of us got a table inside when they didn't even wanted one. 2) do not recommend the matcha cookie, tasted like it was brought from the store, 3) seats are not comfortable, 4) coffees are good but very small. 5) there was no sausages, salmon and a few other things the day we visited due to an order fault which the waiter told us straight away. 6) bathroom was out of order

Lovely place by the canal. There is limited seating inside but plenty outside, so try to visit when it's sunny! i recommend the pastries rather than the brunch menu. Coffee was average.

Wanted to have an awesome breakfast. I asked a couple of my friends and looked at the Google reviews. This place is absolutely fantastic. Lots of fresh pastries, sandwiches, fresh bread and freshly ground coffee. The service is outstanding This place pulls you in just by the smell...🥳 The hash brown brioche bun was awesome. The caramel maple and pecan muffin was next level buttery crispy 😋 The sandwiches were made in a delicious sourdough bread. The coffee was fresh n strong The cookie was buttery chocolaty crispy and soft Banging This place is a little expensive But it's well worth it It's highly recommended 👌

Delicious cakes, pastries and breakfast dishes. The bacon sandwich was tasty but the ratio of bread to the filling was a bit off (too much bread). A big group came in before us which meant there was a delay getting our food but then they comped the sandwich which was nice of them.

Made a visit when planning a day at the christmas markets. This was a great start to the day. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. I can see why this place gets so busy. Would 100% come back next time I go to manchester.

Popular for a very good reason, unfortunately we went to the Ancoats location on a rainy day and had to wait a while for a table, HOWEVER it was well worth it.

really cute little cafe + bakery in the ancoats area. came to visit today and it was quite busy at ~1pm so we sat outside. the inside vibe was amazing though and i wish they could have put in maybe a little more effort to make the outside feel special. we got the tofu banh mi (came for the other vegan sandwich but they have stopped this for now) which was delicious although i feel that their bread is better suited to a more western style sandwich. overall a great place and would come again :)

During my visit to Pollen Bakery, I was delighted to try their cookie, and I must say it was one of the best cookies I've ever had. The taste was simply exquisite. However, I couldn't help but notice that it was fairly pricey at £4.50. Nevertheless, the quality and flavor justified the cost. In addition to the cookie, I treated myself to a flat white, which was lovely and complemented the overall experience. I couldn't resist getting a sourdough loaf to take away, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous size of the loaf for the same price of £4.50. Considering the exceptional quality and taste, it was definitely a good value. With such a delightful experience, I'm already eager to return soon and explore more of Pollen Bakery's tantalizing offerings. If you're a fan of exceptional baked goods and a wonderful coffee selection, this bakery is a must-visit!

Delicious full breakfast. Absolutely packed with people inside & out, despite google saying ‘not busy’. No doubt everything is delicious, but they need double or treble indoor tables. Queue is currently stretched to the little bridge over the canal!

Almond croissant was amazing, the danish pastry was amazing. Cinnamon bun was nice but a little dry. Coffee was good and the service was pretty good! If you’re going on the weekend, go early because queues can be pretty big.

Lovely bakery. Good quality food. It was busy Sat afternoon when i visited, so I had to wait about 10 mins to be seated. I had flat whites & mushroom & cheese sandwich (£11), it was tasty & unique. I will defo visit again to try the sweet pastry :) I loved the minimalist look of the shop and the plants put near the tables.

Fantastic coffee and a lovely vibe. Almond croissant is stunning, chocolate maybe not the best choice.

Lovely bakery, with beautiful views all around. First time trying Pollen and was really impressed. We wanted to try the cinnamon roll but they was sold out. So went for the Blueberry Pastry with a Latte and also, had the hash burger bun with egg which was delicious. Staff were very helpful and polite. We will be returning again to try the other pastries which looked yummy.
