If you desire the best coffee in Manchester City centre, then do try Pot Kettle Black in Spinningfields. They have recently ventured into a great selection of Vegan snacks. The Vegan bun with Sauerkraut, avocado, Hummus and a beetroot slaw is to die for. Amazing service also. Very friendly warm. Also do try their Matcha latte very nice!
Back again on 18th Jan. Guys and Girls please try the Vegan Reuben sandwich with Tofu, Russian mayo,Sauerkraut and Multi seed Rye bread 5*
Staff are amazing, Raquelle especially. She really is excellent with recommendations to suit your palate.
Nice location in the city yet is quite pricey if you just want a simple coffee break. The interior of the place is nice and the staff are friendly. This place is not suitable for large groups.
Great place for breakfast or lunch (breakfast burrito or breakfast roll would defo recommend). Great tasting food and friendly staff. The coffee is also particularly tasty and lattes/cappuccinos served with a choc wafer sticks!
Very nice place for quick coffee or even lunch! Great atmosphere.
Great food, beautiful place. Price is just fine. Special mention to flat white coffe which is great. Smiling staff
Lovely place for a breakfast, we feel at home. A bit small so it can be quite crowded. The food and coffee is excellent (beware, the vegan scrambled eggs are quite spicy). Loved that the story of the coffee shop is written on the restroom door
A lovely little coffee shop / eatery. The coffee will cost a few pence more than nearby vendors but the quality of the taste is well worth it. If staying in, get something from the breakfast menu. The eggs are great and the breakfast roll is the best Friday treat you can buy. On top of the quality products, the ambience is good and the staff very pleasant.
Slightly torn by this place. The staff were friendly but offered a very casual service, we had to wait around a bit before being seen to and had to get up and ask for our bill (so did a few other tables). The food was really good (both ordered vegan breakfast) but the portions were small and the prices quite high. The ingredients did taste of good quality, the meal was flavoursome and well seasoned but the combination of price point + service + portion size seemed to bring the overall experience down.
Also no high chairs! It was inconvenient eating whilst trying to hold onto a young toddler.
All in all a slightly mixed experience - but if you want to try vegan black pudding that's actually really blooming good, you've got to try it out!
Best coffee in Manchester without doubt! You pay for the the quality and knowledge of their excellent staff.
The food menu is also VERY good. Simple and fresh products used in a very effective way. The Steak & eggs is a must!!
My favourite cafe in Manchester that I have been to so far. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the atmosphere's great, it's not so busy that they're rushing you out, the coffee's nice, the food's lovely, the prices are reasonable. I actually prefer it to the other branch in Barton Arcade. I think it's because the layout's more in keeping with what I like in a cafe. I'm not a fan of big, open-plan spaces and the branch at Spinningfields feels quite cosy and relaxed. Music is great as well, and the place generally doesn't have this air of pretension or arrogance that some up-market cafes have. Prices are great as well, considering the location. Can't speak highly enough of the staff and overall experience that I had today (01/08/2019, between 13:00 and 17:00). Will definitely come back here whenever I'm back in Manchester.
