Yes, this was a lot closer to my idea of a perfect pizza than many of late. It's probably because they've taken advice from people who know; Honest Crust. I've not tried their pizzas yet, but I will do very soon and have heard nothing but good things about them. They even donated some of their 20 year old sourdough starter to Kosmonaut, who generously admit their pizzas are not quite as good as Honest Crust yet, but they're still way better than in any crappy chain I've been to.
Why do people still eat in the likes of Croma, Pizza Express and the rest when there are places like this about? In those days 20 years ago, there was no internet and no social media, you knew about somewhere or you didn't. Now there's simply no excuse.
It's too early to say if this is Manchester's best pizza, but it's certainly up there for me, and goes into the pizza semi finals (which only exist in my head), and one for a revisit soon, I reckon.

Found it a little difficult to find, maybe needs a sign or board outside. That said the bar is really nice, with friendly helpful staff. Good selection of draught beer and cans/bottles. Loved the Sour Beer tap takeover they had on over Bank Holiday Weekend.

Great IPA selection and a really cool place to hang out. Ping pong table downstairs on weekends too so good for a game in the afternoon as it's quiet then. We hired the place out for a party once too and they let you play your own tunes, sound system was decent and staff were very helpful

Great Barr with an eclectic mix of people, various seating areas and a great burger menu amongst other things. Great for a drink with a group or as a couple. Can be a bit noisy but it's not so much that you can't chat with a drink

I finally had the chance to visit this place after hearing so much about it, I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed! It's a surprisingly large space inside, especially for the northern quarter, and the walls are filled with some very cool illustrations & artwork. I attended a supper club event so I didn't get chance to sample the usual menu but it certainly looks good from what I've seen. There always seems to be something going on in this place, it's definitely one I'll be returning to.

Sick place! Defs the most fun drinking spot my friends and I went to in the Northern Quarter. Went on a Fri night and there was a DJ with good tunes, the decor was tops, sick vibe, the crowd were cool and fun and the drinks were plenty and a good price. There was this bouncer - so police and respectful + Tom the bartender; super nice to meet you mate, great chats! Defs recommend going here.

Really nice bar, pretty big too. Artwork changes regularly and good selection of music every night of he week. Staff are friendly and if you want a cocktail that's not on the menu or your not sure what you want they will always help you out. Food is pretty good too especially there summer BBQs.

Great bar with lots of space which is great as if you like a bit of personal space. Plenty of seats even at the weekend. I have been here on a few occasions with the pretence of playing ping pong but so far the table has been out of use or in use. There was lots of choice at the bar with a large selection of craft beers.

It's a lot bigger inside than it first appears, there's two bars upstairs, one downstairs and in the summer the back alley (not as dodgy as it sounds) also holds a fair few people. The food is good and decently priced as are the drinks - they have a large whisky variety on the main bar and when there's enough room downstairs they have table tennis tables out. Love the old school R&B played on a Thursday night - only downside is my friend recently had a problem with the bouncers and after sending a complaint email accidentally ended up copied into a really offensive reply by one of the members of staff, safe to say she wasn't at all impressed and probably won't be returning any time soon.

Still one of the best bars on this side of the Northern Quarter. Great for a chilled midweek drink and even better on the weekend with some great music playing. Food wise you can't go wrong with HipHop Chip Shop in the kitchen!

It's roomy yet really cosy in here, the focus is really on the atmosphere and decor, and not cramming as many patrons in as possible. Drinks selection, especially the beer is impressive and staff are able to make recommendations based on what's new and what's good. The lighting sets the mood really well for catching up with friends.

Kosmonaut is never a disappointing venue for starting your weekend at (and I would know as 9 times out of 10 it's my works preferred choice for Friday fun). Definitely one of the staple northern quarter bars - with it's cool, relaxed interior and hipster style. The music they play is also pretty funky and takes the masses that visit here into the early hours of the morning. Then during the day they serve some good grub too, so if you've had a few to many the night before you're able to come and soak it up with a tasty and well priced pizza or burger.

Nice atmosphere, very relaxed, good music (there is sometimes a DJ), loads of seating so its good if you are looking for a place with a large group. There is a happy hour until 7 so it is great for after work drinks, food is nice, too, and its good value!
