Delicious Fish and chips with nice ambience and friendly staff.
Service is good and the wait for food isn't long.
Highly recommend and will be visiting again with an empty stomach!

Thank you so much @thechippyonburtonrd for inviting me down to try your new Autumn menu! Had such and amazing even and the food was so so good. Legit the best chippy I've ever had, it's not like your usual chippy , the food quality is next level. I even said it's somewhere I'd go for a date .
My favourite bits were the black pudding fritters and the spam fritters, both were fantastic. Even better was the spam and black pudding fritter!! Oh yeah. The browned Steak pie is also incredible, better than every chippy that serves Holland's pies!
I've also never had such high quality sausage from a chippy before but these guys smashed it with Axons special smoked sausage. They had a brilliant texture and even greater flavour, even better was the battered version.
There was so much food and i have to mention the Salt and pepper squid! We had this with sriracha mayo and it was spectacular. Hopefully you're beginning to see why I'm saying this is the best chippy ever
Oh I've not even said how good the chips were! They were perfect as they're cooked separately from other items and aren't cooked in palm oil. Everything about The chippy is awesome. Other highlights were the fish cakes and the curry sauce was peng

Lovely, yummy food! Fresh, fast and tasty. Tartar sauce and curry very unique and delicious. Could do with more chips in the portion but otherwise A1!
An amazing quality chippy, the quality is of such a high standard, the fish was so fresh and flaky and the batter was light and crisp. The menu is has such a great range and is the best chippy I've come across. Staff are really warming and take pride in their food and the customer service was great! If your thinking of trying I would recommend!
Excellent fish and chips, served with a slice of lemon and some yummy tartare sauce. Classy F&C shop serving wide range of other takeaways, nothing tacky. However class comes at a price, an occasional treat at these prices.

If I could give this 4.5 stars I would. The service was great. The portion size was good. It was fresh. The fish was perfectly cooked, nice flavour and crisp on batter, and good size. The chips were the perfect chippy chips. Not too thin. Cooked in a separate oil so don't get flavour of batter. Soft yet held their own. And very importantly the fish or the chips were not greasy!
Onlyt that let me down was the curry sauce which I'm a big lover of usually, I found this one a bit too watery and tasted a bit like gravy and slightly too sweet.
I will definitely come here again, and hoping they see the feedback both positive and about the curry sauce, as curry sauce is a must for me
Have ordered twice for delivery and the food is amazing. Some of the best fish and chips around. Good size portions. Perfect temperature by the time it arrived. It is not greasy. Will definitely be ordering again in the future.
Yummy π fish and π chips. Everything was cooked to perfection!! A good tasty chippy with great flavours. Everything tasted great, great portion size, no grease. I couldn't fault my meal, I am really impressed!!! The small touches go a long way like the tartar sauce included, along with sauces, and a piece of lemon. π As a rule when I have tried Tartar sauce in the past it hasn't had a pleasant taste and I've disliked it. I tried the sauce tonight and loved it. π Thank you

Amazing chippy! I love all the extra touches like homemade tartar sauce with your fish. The mushy peas are really tasty and I love the fishcake- it is packed full of flavour. It may seem slightly expensive but you always get a massive portion and everything feels top quality.
This is my favourite chippy ever, I live around 25 mins away and I will always make the trip here for take out or eat in. Food is absolutely delicious, staff are really lovely and welcoming and the fact you can have a wine with your chips is just fabulous. Love all the specials they do too. Everyone should try! Xx
Super tasty fish and chips. Perfect golden crunchy, light batter and lovely chips too. So much choice on the menu, we can't wait to try more!
Was expensive at over a tenner for cod & chips (both regular), curry sauce and baked beans (both large). However I can't stress enough just how good it tasted. It was cooked perfectly and the fish fillet had been skinned which is always a nice touch. The curry sauce, tartare (thrown in for free with a lemon wedge) sauce and beans only complimented the already excellent dish. I don't think I've ever eaten so fast for a while, as every mouthful was perfect. I'll definitely buy from here again albeit without the extras!
Absolutely fabulous. My first visit there. I'm a bit of a fish and chip aficionado (I occasionally travel over the pennines to Yorkshire for fish and chips cooked in dripping) but this was some over the best I've had over this side. I asked for a well-done fish: it was perfect. Great chips and gravy spot on. Surprised by the sausage! Expected a normsl b*&b* chippy sausage but, instead, recieved a butcher-quality offering. Yes, a couple of pounds more than some other places, but worth every penny. Well done!
