Fabulous Bank Holiday brunch, OF Avocado Smash with Chorizo and Halloumi, and a delicious creamy cappuccino on the side. Very busy kitchen but well staffed.

Coffee is amazing. Here most days, great place to work on weekdays. The banana bread is top tier. Just wish the seats were a little more comfier. P.s. Maria and Dan make the best coffee, had to follow them here from 200°

Sixteen of us walked in, after a very enjoyable Romiley WI walk around the Northern Quarter. We easily found seats, after a bit of reorganisation by us, in this spacious, lively (women owned - apt for us 😉) coffee house. The service was EXCELLENT and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

The staff are always friendly and accommodating with me, and my group. I'm a vegetarian with a soya allergy, and a friend of mine can't have gluten. Where possible the staff are happy to make changes for our dietary requirements. The staff are always so nice and make me and my group feel welcomed. The coffee is actually all kinds of amazing too. We tried a coffee slushie, and a coffee and tonic.

Excellent coffee and delicious food. My flat white was made perfectly. The Eggs Royale were exquisite, with perfectly poached eggs, tasty hollandaise, and lovely bread. The addition of the dill and caper oil was a stroke of genius. The banana bread was moist and flavoursome without being too sweet. Definitely one of the top coffee and brunch places in Manchester!

Food was lovely and reasonably priced. When we came in we weren't sure what to do as in if we had to wait to be seated or help ourselves. We walked half way into the building to find someone to ask. So maybe having something to clearly state what to do so we didn't have to stop the young lady from working 😅👍

Wonderful atmosphere. You can have meetings over a coffee and work independently on your laptop. Food is good too with lots of vegan options. Only thing is not pram friendly as you have to lift your pram up some stairs 🫤

Definitely one of my favorite cafes, the food was great and the matcha latte was as good as the food and the service. It gets busy so you need to go early. We ordered the French toast and the mushroom with eggs. I wish if they just clean the tables.

Really nice coffee. It arrived hot and the order was followed perfectly. We ordered via the QR code making it really easy. I had the overnight oats which were delicious and very filling. My partner has the bacon breakfast bap it gave him options for vegan butter which was perfect as he can't have dairy. The atmosphere was great, the tables were nice and spread out so you felt you had your own space. Good prices and tasty Highly recommended 👌

Dropped in for a quick breakfast before getting our train. Ordered Eggs Benedict and coffee. Quick service and plenty of seating. Looked clean and had a gig atmosphere. Nice industrial looking place. The best thing though was the breakfast. Eggs benedict, done to perfection. So tasty with lovely smokey bacon and crispy kale on lightly toasted sourdough bread and a lovely hollandaise. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a breakfast that much. Lovely coffee. Next time I stay in Manchester, I will certainly visit again.

Very nice tasty food. Coffee is very smooth and a lot of flavour. A bit on the expensive side for what we got (but what isn't lately?) but couldn't fault the quality and taste! Smoothies are very nice and are great after a night out. My second visit here and will definitely go back.

My regular go to place during the week. I come here to do my studies. Love the ambience, love the food, love the polite and friendly staff, love everything about the cafe 👍🏻 In terms of Food, the Sticky Toffee French Toast was so delicious 👌. No words. Will be coming back soon next week again. Thanks Foundation.

My first visit to Foundation Coffee House was during my second year at university. I had recently taken up yoga and was attending a vinyasa class across the street. As I left the class, I was greeted by the imposing façade of Sevendale House. At the time, I felt like I was in Brooklyn Heights or another trendy part of NYC. It has enormous ground floor windows and a sort of stoop set into the building. I was in the mood for coffee, so I went inside. And it's been my go-to ever since. Whenever I'm in the Northern Quarter, I know I'll be able to get into Foundation. The décor hints at NQ's industrial past, with exposed pipes and wires in the ceiling. The shop itself is very spacious and homely, with white tiled walls and small tables. The food here is decent. It'll certainly fill the void if you fancy one of their bakes. However, the chief selling points of Foundation are the coffee and the service. The coffee is strong, and the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. If food is what you're looking for, it might be worth delving a little further into town. But for a relaxing atmosphere, nowhere compares to Foundation.

My favourite coffee shop in NQ. The cakes are amazing, the millionaire shortbread is a must have! The coffee is delicious, the cortado is traditional and they have plenty of vegan options. The coffee slush is an interesting take on a frappe and is worth a try, so long as the machine is working! The staff are friendly and there’s loads of seating haven’t ever not got a table. Bathrooms are nice and clean, will always return here when I don’t fancy trying somewhere new!

Wonderful. Staff is super super friendly and chatty while still being professional. It's all really cheap and filter coffee (Which is a nice Columbian blend) is only £1 before 9.30. I had the porridge and it was amazing and really filling. Plenty of vegan options Cleary marked. Hours are a little odd. Online says open from 7, door says 7.30 walked by at 7.20 and they were open. Atmosphere is really nice. The have big meeting tables which I can see start ups or churches meeting at. Plugs are a bit sparse though. Only thing that would make it better is a couple of big comfy chairs for people who aren't there to work.

Absolutely love this place. It can get super busy but it's not hard to see why. Great location within NQ, always a good vibe, helpful staff, all round goodness (oh and Porridge to die for!)
