Nice place to chill take a cocktail, the food is good however it's not the place to get a big hearty stake meal, it's more of a light snack kinda meal. I wish the terrace had a ton more lighting, it was quite dark sitting outside. Overall good place to get a drink even if that’s just a cup of coffee.
Sat and had a pint and then moved onto cocktails. Great variety and really well made. Had 2 platters which we shared and both were good.
We hired out the events space at Proof for my 30th birthday celebrations and had a fab night! Having the outdoor space as well as some room indoors was great. The staff were lovely and let my friends go early to put decorations up (they also took them down for us the next day, which was a big help). We were able to play our own Spotify playlists from behind the bar and even created our own little dance floor. I ordered some 'picky food' from the small plates menu for everyone, which I thought was reasonably priced per head and everyone raved about how tasty it was. They even adapted the nachos for me so that everything was vegan :) I think about 30 people was perfect - any more would've been a bit cramped. But a brill night all round, thank you!
I would just like to say a big thank you to the team at Proof bar. We as a group booked the rear area for our Christmas night out in Proof. this can be difficult as we have a large group of close to 20, which can be challenging to many places, especially a cocktail bar, but our waiter and waitress, Tyler and Nadia were flawless in their service to us. Every cocktail, and we had a lot, constantly flowed, and were of top quality, very professional from the bar tender Brian, and huge thanks to Katy for overseeing us and making sure we were all happy and looked after. Massive thank you to you all, hope you all have a great Christmas, we'll see you next year! 10/10

Great service! The drinks were averagely priced and super tasty. The atmosphere of the place was very chilled out and easy to have a chat in.
Very lovely place for family time or a chilled couples time. Food and drinks are moderately priced too.
Always a great night in proof. Cocktails are amazing and prices are good. Staff are very welcome.

I booked Proof for my partner's 30th birthday party. I booked it with Katie who was fab to deal with and really helpful. We booked the raised section of the main bar for about 20 people. We pre-booked food which their staff served up in and amongst our guests twice during the evening. (We also ended up getting a few extra bar snacks as we were setting up as well as they are so well priced and yummy!) There were padron peppers, nachos, fries, breads, dips, olives (and maybe more - can't quite remember) and the guests all loved it. Suited us much better than a straight up buffet as we had different people floating in and out through the night. The cocktails were awesome and our guests all really enjoyed their drinks. We really enjoyed ourselves and they really looked after us and cut up and served the birthday cake that we brought with us. The service was top notch, could not recommend it enough. Naughty smokers can all go outside with their drinks undercover and in the heat as well which was useful for half of our gang! Thanks so much to Katie, their fabulous chef and the waiting staff for making Zane's night go off without a hitch!
We hired out the "Secret Garden" for my birthday and had such a fun evening. From start to finish, everything was incredibly well managed. Carly was fantastic in helping me plan the event, including discussing options for our very own bar and bartender, choosing food from the numerous options available, allowing us to bring our own music if we wanted, bringing our decorations early before the event, as well as a cake without a 'cakeage' charge. On the night, we were really looked after by Katie and the amazing team, they were lovely. The food was so tasty (particularly the nachos and fries) and Pete whipped us up some brilliant cocktails. My friends had such a good night that a number of them are planning to have their birthday there!
New menu is great, vegetarian focused but choice available, all good value. Drinks and staff fantastic as always.

Hired their outdoor garden and rear room for a leaving do and can't recommend it enough. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, really flexible with pre-orders and food options. The food we had was delicious. The team were on hand and super friendly, but not overly intrusive. Amazing cocktails too! Will definitely be back! Thank you!
Could not have had a better night. The staff were fantastic in every way. We came here to celebrate my birthday and this was made extra special by coming here. I asked if they could do my favourite cocktail which was not on the menu and this was absolutely no trouble. And it was made with style. The waitresses and lovely bar tender made our night. The best pina colada I've had in ages. I also had a cocktail off the menu which was delicious. Lovely atmosphere which was made a million times better by the staff serving tonight. I can't appreciate them more. Lovely people, lovely experience. No question I would go again. Thank you
Excellent service by friendly and attentive staff, the new menu is just delicious, top marks to the chef! Recent renovation is well considered, new tables and seats outside and a welcoming fresh interior ready to go... Best cocktails in South Manchester, always have been... A chorlton staple that once visited will become a favourite.
I first came here for my birthday with six friends and was blown away by the cocktail selection and by Georgia's service. I've since been twice more, served by Georgia again, and have loved it more and more. Drinks selection is excellent, service is top-rate and the atmosphere is comfortable and warming. Really standout place in Chorlton which already has plenty of good spots to drink!

Came in mid-week, still another 20+ people here and you would think you're the only people there because of how attentive the staff are. Carly and Jolie on tonight (sorry if I spelt your names wrong). Again, we were surprised by how good the service was and the quality of the drinks was impeccable. This is swiftly becoming a "local" option. Very much our favourite place to come.
Really friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff! Lovely ambient decor and great music. Customer service is of the highest standard. Food menu is diverse and the quality of the food really shows the chef's know what they are doing. The cocktails are really good and well priced. Outdoor area is great in all weathers, dog and child friendly. One of the best places to go in Chorlton! I highly recommend this wether you are going out for brunch or for the evening. Owner and his wife are very friendly and make you feel welcome.
Chorlton cocktail institution. Great bar, great people, great times! Have rarely felt more welcome than this place.
Quick update: this place goes from strength to strength. Both outdoor areas are excellent, the food and drink is still perfect and most of all the staff are the best people.
Excellent bar with friendly and helpful staff. Andy and Carly couldn’t have been more accommodating. It was our first large group venture out (cocktail workshop) and we had the best night since March 2020! Andy was a fantastically knowledgable mixologist and very entertaining and the rest of the staff team were brilliant. Its been a really difficult time with the pandemic so having the chance to all be together for the first time in one indoor/outdoor space and to let our hair down, eating, drinking, singing, dancing and laughing lots! So much fun 👍🏽🙏🏽 I will pop in again for brunch and would definitely recommend both the cocktail workshop and the bar in general to family/friends and work colleagues.
