This spot is the one I always prefer. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this one I go the most. The crew is very cordial and the cuisine they place on your table is so delicious. I am always happy to have a decent meal in this place. I highly recommend this place
I come to this rest. frequently. One day I did a dinner for my friends there. Interiors are classy and the staff are warm welcoming. The foods we ordered were quite tasty but one of my invitees who is Indian informed me that the meals are not ”authentic” Indian platters in terms of savour. A negative thing about Zouk is that during the weekend the place is utterly busy making the staff confused and inefficient.
Contemporary Indian dining full of mouthwatering flavours. I came with friends from abroad and staff were friendly and hospitable. Definitely a must for those in Manchester. 😀
This was my go to place in Manchester because I lived on the 4th floor of the same building. It is located at lower ormond street. The breads are very good - must try their Garlic naan. The curries have a distinctive taste. Gravy portions are small and good for one person. The service is good and prompt except on weekend nights.
Just came for lunch with my little brothers fiance and it was well worth it! I got worried when we saw the low reviews of recent visitors.... but thankfully our lunch was delicious and we had a fantastic time...the curries were lovely and were the fresh naan just yummy! Thank you!
I've been in this place several times and every time I was completely satisfied and happy with my choice. No matter what I ordered I just enjoyed eating. An example of the most delicious is their steak served with vegetables and mushroom sauce. Mango lassi is a must eat must have of this place,
I highly recommend this place
Zouk tea bar and grill took us a while to get there but had a pretty good sheesha experience. Staff was friendly and helpful but the highlight has to be the Zouk rib eye beef steak so perfectly cooked with pepper sauce and fries loved it with the mocktails and sheesha. Its has amazing outdoor seating and the sheesha and mocktail options were too cool. Lovely.
Delicious Fusion Food. Indian/asian fusion done well and done tasty! The food is great, the service is good and the ambience is absolutely perfect. A little pricey, so not somewhere you would go for your regular curry. But none the less one to try for sure! I have been a few times and 95% of the time the food has been perfect. We have had the odd lack of perfection, happens I guess. Highly recommended none the less.
Excellent food, ambiance and service. Our visit to zouk last week was a good experience of delicious appetizing food which was served quickly by friendly staff. We tried a few items on the specials menu which is quite rare in indian restaurants to find we had made an excellent choice of dishes. I had the soup and the chicken and mango salad both of which were a wonderful light starter. For my main i had the zouk special steak which was cooked to perfection which came with hand cut chips and veg. The desserts were freshly made by the in house pasty chef, the selection was great and had something for everyone, i choose a mango cheese cake which was perfect. We did try the sheesha outside with mint tea which was a wonderful way to end the evening, very relaxing.
Pretty good..like a Indo Turkish..nice atmosphere and a shisha lounge...good service and the dishes are tasty..quantities aren't the greatest so difficult to share ....need to go back to try out the shisha
Negatives no????. We have dined in Zouk many many times and we have never had cause to complain ,the food is superb, the service is as good as you get anywhere, its a casual or smart. The restaurant is lovely and the price is ridiculous.
A big 5 star deffo from us .I am surprised there are any negatives, hope Zouk do something to address the complaints
FANTASTIC!. We came late around 10.30 and the staff were most welcoming, the waiter recommended we try something from the specials menu and as i had never seen game on and Indian menu before i went for the quail! it was perfect! This place is always trying new idea i have never seen before and they do it to perfection!
I can't rate this place more highly: 5 STAR every time.
Its Curry Jim, but not as you know it!. Tucked just off Oxford Street this place delivers in substance and style in a very spacious, modern setting. "Tea Bar and Grill" massivley misdirects the casual passer-by - this joint is a bona-fide knock-out Indian restaurant. I only went in on the off-chance but have been back 3 times in the last month. The first thing you'll notice is how fresh the ingredients and the dishes themselves are- no warm-ups from the weekend here! A large open planned kitchen takes up the whole left hand wall where around 5-6 six chefs can be seen working the ovens and gas-tops. Just watching them cook is a fascinating experience in itself alone. For first timers go for the "Chicken Imlee" (kebabs with tamarind and plum sauce) followed by the "Handi" for a main. FORGET RUSHHOLME on the way home - you wont find anywhere near as good as this place!!
The staff is lovely. They are friendly, attentive and accommodating. The owner came to our table to talk with us for a while, and ten personally removed our plates himself. The food is lovely, though not as spicy as I normally like it!!
The place just oozed with style, a delightful ambiance, great service, fantastic food, great chefs, just everything here I would rate a high 5 out of 5 ! For starters, lamb chops, 2x chicken liver, scallops, paneer tikka (cheese). Main: chicken korma, salmon, zouk gourmet burger, 2 x beef steak. I ordered a special blackberry floral tea, and it came in the most stylish little tea pot and lovely tray! the presentation was quite impressive. The food itself was just finger licking! The lamb chops was so well done and juicy. The chicken liver was the table's favourite. The scallops was nice too. My salmon with an asian twist was SUPERB!!! I eat a lot of salmon, but this dish was spectacular! The salmon was not small in the least, I barely managed half! One of the top manchester restaurants! best of all.. the price!! astonishing!! I would happily pay double!
The food is delicious. It is the best option if one is unsure of where to go. Location is convenient and the prices are not very high. Parathas and curries - must try!
Absolutely 5 star, our first time here for Sunday lunch and the sharing platter for 4 was excellent. The 3 meats were each one beautifully cooked, moist and succulent with just a hint of spice. The potatoes and vegetables were gorgeous and the cauliflower cheese just scrumptious. The staff are friendly, helpful and so pleasant. We were too full for deserts but it was impolite not to partake and how glad we were that we did. Please book, a truly exceptional restaurant whose owner is a delight and his staff are a credit too him
Well deco restaurant. Great ambience. We reached the restaurant on Sunday 1pm and no waiting time for the table. Serving within 15 minutes upon ordering.
We ordered Sunday Roast, the mini lamb roast. It was so well done. The fat and meat portion was roasted perfectly. The Yorkshire pudding was also nicely done. Every combination comes to perfection. WOW. 5 stars
We noticed some couples who ordered a platter for 2 cannot finish as the portion was quite big. Unless you are big eater or else advisable stick to single portion.
Found this restaurant by coincidence today and very pleasantly surprised! Great service. Nice ambience with elegant decor. The Desi brunch was amazing, lovely flavours! Parking is convenient directly outside also. Thanks for a wonderful lunch!
I visited Zouk yesterday. I can't praise it enough, the food was amazing. The dips with the popadums were really fresh and tasty. The atmosphere was nice and the staff very friendly. Just quite simply a lovely place! Will definitely be going back.
I visited Zouk last week and absolutely loved it! The Alice in Wonderland/Mad Hatters Tea Party decor was incredible as you literally enter the restaurant 'through the keyhole'. The food was so delicious, generous portions with incredible flavours and presentation. The staff were friendly and attentive, Bhargav was very helpful with recommendations for which cocktails we should order. Will definitely be coming back to Zouk very soon!!
Me and my friend decided to visit Zouk on our lunch break. We ordered the mixed brunch platter with a side of french toast and Matcha Latte. The food was delicious and bursting with flavour. The matcha latte was also the best I have ever had, with a hint of cinnamon…just delicious! The staff were friendly, the venue was beautifully decorated even down to the luxury details in the bathroom. We can’t wait to go back
AmazIng amazing!! Forgot my waiter’s name but her name begins with Ch she’s on the photo and Thanks for giving my daughter the best birthday!! food, drinks, service, atmosphere 10/10🌟 will be back soon❤️
Wow, we just had the most amazing brunch experience at my friend's restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that made us feel right at home. The menu was a brunch lover's dream, with a delicious array of options to choose from, we opted for a sharing platter and let me tell you, it was absolute perfection. The flavors were fresh and vibrant, and every bite was a delight. To top it off, the desi tea was rich and aromatic, the perfect companion to my meal. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better brunch experience. I'll definitely be back for more!
Thank you Narisa, Habiba, Tayo, Mido x
Zouk restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The flavors are authentic and the dishes are incredibly delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend trying their butter chicken and they Sunday roast—it's out of this world! The ambiance is lively and inviting. Overall, a great spot for a satisfying Indian meal. Can't wait to come back!
We had a Zouk delivery for a team lunch, and it did not disappoint. The delivery was spot on time, it was hot, tasty and the packaging was great! The portions were also really generous. We look forward to ordering again soon :)
My mum won a competition to visit Zouk tea bar and grill for a free dessert and milkshake each. We had never been down this area of Manchester before but was pleasantly surprised by what we found. The outside was adorned in a gorgeous flower wall and the inside was decorated very nice too. There were some delicious dessert choices and after a long deliberation I decided on the white and gold chocolate bauble and mum went for the crème brûlée. We both had chocolate milkshakes. Honestly everything was divine. My dessert was a white chocolate ball with caramel mousse inside and adorned with biscuit crumb and caramel sauce, one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Mums crème brûlée was amazing too. And the milkshakes were decadent to say the least. Highly recommend this place! P.s if you visit, go to the toilets, I’ve never seen anything like them in my life!
Nice place for shisha…. Food is mid as the rice is very dry with no proper sauce. The lamb chops were overcooked too. Waste of money but great customer service.
Lovely side spot in Manchester just out of the way enough to not be overpopulated. Very friendly staff with beautiful seasonal decor and a grand facade (great for photos).
Food arrived fast, beef steak was a little tough to cut but nothing to mark down on, table was a little small for the platter sizes however.
Overall happy with the service and food, slightly pricey but still a good visit for a gathering meal or event.
Fabulous place with delicious Indian food. Service was great. We came at 4pm for pre-theatre menu where you pay £20 for 2 courses or £25 for 3 courses (menu available daily 4-7pm). Our group of 4 was delighted with lamb dishes and desserts. Took a bit longer than expected to wait for food to come out but was worth it. Full and happy bellies, thank you!
The food was on point. From the flavor to the quality. Shivani was an amazing server and real attentive. Definitely recommend this place for a great meal
Was served by a lovely lady named nakita and her customer service was 10/10. Food good was good too loved the presentation on the dessert.
Zouk restaurant exceeded my expectations! The ambiance was inviting, the food was flavorful, and Mahesh provided exceptional service throughout our meal. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine with top-notch service.
