Had a fantastic night going in for the comedy set, which I'd say the most new interesting comedy night I've been to in some time, if comedy is for you, just go.
I went on a Wednesday but it is 7 nights a week.
I was mainly drinking Guinness at around £6 per pint which for the area is what is to be expected. I was super surprised by the quality of their Guinness, really knocked anyone nearby out of the water. If you're like me and Guinness is your thing it's simply a must-visit bar
Happy hour looked to be 2 for £8 on pints of corona which is pretty solid for Stevenson square/northern quarter (I only saw this on a sign downstairs so may not be the case)
I'll need to go back and try some other comedy nights more drinks or food that I've seen posted. I'd say the corner boy is a good place for a date, going with your mates or anything in between, really friendly, warm, cozy, candles and good music.
The door man Rick is amazing. Feel safe and secure with him around. His hula necklace made him approachable. Amazing bar with even better vibes definitely recommend for any occasion.
Great bar, great vibes, the live music tonight was fantastic. Also a plus the doorman rich was absolutely amazing! Very welcoming, the only reason I came in, and why I will be coming back
Cosy pub, excellent music, and friendly staff. The first public house I was genuinely asked how my day had been. Even impressed the barman remembered me chilling reading a book. So yes 2 thumbs up.
Great food here and I also love the decor, few places do it as well as they have done here. Nicely located too in the bustling Northern Quarter. Well worth dropping by if you're in town.
Me and my wife enjoyed our meal here. It's a ribs or burger place really. With great offers on different nights like a jug of beer and ribs 4 2 for £20 on Wednesdays.
Very retro and well lated out. It's got outdoor seating if you Wana be on the street on a hot day.

Awesome find, was just walking through the northern quarter and popped in for a beer and whisky on my travels. Calum bar man great guy great conversation, working a long shift alone still has a happy welcoming smile 5star to him and the job he does thankyou pal.
First time trying on my usual breakfast Friday. I got the hollondaise eggs and my mate got the full English. The food was pretty good if I'm being honest. The bacon was a particular standout, candied almost. They also have signature hash browns which you must try (I had them instead of the muffins with my eggs benedict). They don't have filter coffee (shame) so I had an Americano coffee, which was excellent, plenty of flavour, just expensive though (£2.30) when you're already paying £9 for your breakfast. That being said, something just didn't feel right, decor maybe. It just didn't seem to have the charm like other NQ breakfast eateries such as Koffee Pot or Cafe North which eer on the greasy spoon side. This place is trying to be a bit more upmarket if that's your thing.
Brunch menu is good and the regular menu isn't huge but it's well thought out. And cocktails. If you do the chicken burger add the hash brown!!
Enjoyed a brunch here today and it was great! The food was delicious and great atmosphere plus cheeky brunch cocktails were a winner too! Will be going again
Comedy was good! The bald Canadian was a bit much but the comics were generally funny and it was good value for money
This is a review of the Wednesday night improv evening. The area in the bar basement is very cool with a eclectic crowd. You never quite know what you'll get on Wednesdays, but I really enjoyed our evening there.
The bar above was being refurbished so the drink selection was dire. Last week we'd be able to go up to the bar.
A good pint of Guinness here at Corner Boy, not the best in Manchester, but definitely a good one. Has the potential to be a great Irish Bar, but feel like it may have identity issues at the moment. If passing would definitely go in again. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Chicken wing club was awesome... £20 for 20 wings, a shed load of fries, some real fresh slaw and A PITCHER OF Beer..... Can't go wrong.
Friendly service as well in a proper chilled out environment
Food was excellent! Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Had an espresso martini and the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup...
Both of those were probably the best I've ever had in my life, before or since. 💖
If I ever return to Manchester this will be the first place I come back to!!
The chicken pile up offer is great and worth making a visit for alone. Staff were friendly, but seemed to be uncertain about what was on offer fully which stopped my from giving a full 5 stars.
Absolutely loved the breakfast as the quality of the food used was top notch, and beautifully prepared and presented. I'll be going back for another one soon.
