As I stepped into the Yemeni restaurant, I was immediately struck by the inviting atmosphere that transported me to another world. The traditional Yemeni seating arrangement, with vibrant carpets and plush cushions laid out on the floor, set the stage for a unique dining experience. Seated directly on the floor, surrounded by the intricate decor, I felt transported to another time and place. The absence of conventional tables added to the sense of intimacy and connection with both the food and my fellow diners. It felt heartwarming to be seated in such close proximity, fostering a sense of camaraderie and togetherness that enhanced the overall dining experience. The food! As I immersed myself in the Yemeni-inspired soup, a symphony of enticing aromas embraced me, promising a culinary adventure. The broth, simmered to perfection, exuded a comforting warmth with every sip. Fragrant spices danced on my palate, infusing each spoonful with layers of flavor that captivated my senses. The addition of a slice of lemon atop the bowl was a stroke of brilliance, as its tangy zest mingled harmoniously with the rich broth, adding a refreshing twist to every mouthful. Each spoonful was a delightful journey through a world of exquisite flavors, leaving me feeling nourished and utterly satisfied. This Yemeni lamb soup, with its citrusy flourish, was a testament to the artistry of culinary innovation. As I was brought my Yemeni muhamer lamb and rice, the captivating aroma wafting from the plate immediately caught my attention. The tender lamb, marinated to perfection with a medley of spices, practically melted in my mouth with each savory bite. The rice, infused with the same fragrant spices, served as the perfect accompaniment, adding a comforting and aromatic element to the dish. The crispy onions sprinkled on top provided a delightful crunch and an extra layer of flavor, enhancing the dish beautifully. Each bite took me on a journey through layers of rich flavors and textures, leaving me thoroughly satisfied and eagerly anticipating the next mouthful. Overall, my experience with muhamer lamb and rice was nothing short of exceptional—a culinary masterpiece that I would gladly indulge in again and again. 9.5/10!

Today we were quite hungry and hot and thinking to go elsewhere as we had never tried this place. Needless to say the food was absolutely amazing, the rice in the chicken and lamb mandi’s was nice and moist and extremely flavourful, the chicken was so tender and pulled apart so nicely. Everything was so, so delicious and flavourful. Service was quick and efficient and the staff were great too. Definitely recommend! Didn’t get to eat in due to time constraints but will definitely do so next time. Yemeni food and people are really something out of this world.

Amazing experience, the Mandi is very nice and a must. Service is quick and very hospitable. Was able to get a space for our family and the food more than filled us. Pricing is very good and reasonable for what you get. Would go back anytime I’m in Manchester.

First time in Manchester and googled this place. Absolutely loved it, at first when you enter it seems like a moderate restaurant. As you go upstairs there are cubicles with seating on the floor. The decor is of course using rugs and Islamic art. There was a lot of privacy. The food we ordered from the desk as you have to pay on order. We were given complimentary soups to start our meal, it tasted amazing. Every mouthful had tons of flavour. The rice was fluffy, a little lemony, cooked to perfection. Chicken tikka were moist. All in all we were a party of six and we wiped the plates clean. Would love to return again if ever we come to Manchester.

It was a fresh experience for me, that a restaurant without a table or chair. For eating we should have to sit on a mat, which is specially designed in a fully covered area. We have complete privacy inside there. Nobody will look at you or disturb you in between eating. So it's a variety of place to enjoy food. Their special Lamb Mandhi taste is amazing. Really worthy. I will visit there again.

Very traditional place with authentic food. I have tried their Chicken Kapsa, Lamb Mandi and Chicken Mandi. Good value for money. One serving is enough for 2 people.

We tried this restaurant as one of my friends suggested they serve good yemenite food. We went on Friday night and it was almost full. Upstairs they have seating area where you sit on floor and eat together. We ordered lamb mandi, kabsa and lamb fahsa. They first saved broth soup with lemon which was very refreshing especially in the cold. Food was really good quality and decently priced. Good flavours, decent quantity and not very heavy or oily. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if coming towards Manchester for good yemenite food.
