Had a lovely meal with friends yesterday the place was lovely and clean and well laid out. Two of us had the Steak & Kidney pudding which was very nice and packed with very tender Steak and gravy, good hand cut chips and not badly priced. We arrived at 3.15pm and we were seated right away one very small disappointment was that we had to wait until 4.30pm for the Dinner menu to start but after a couple of drinks that didn't really matter. Definitely recommend the Fox and i think we will be returning.
Excellent Sunday lunch today, roast beef & Yorkshire pudding followed by lemon tart. The food was delicious, and the service was great, I will definitely ho again.
We went to The Fox, a party of 7, on a Sunday. The menu was plentiful, something for everyone 😋. We chose different starters, so we could have a taste of everything. Also the main courses were generous, food was lovely. Not the usual typical pub grub, but a lovely home cooked appeal. Pleasing to the eye, plated up at a good standard, nice & hot. Service with a smile, the staff couldn't do enough....definitely will return again...definitely recommend going there....x

Came in tonight for a family Christmas meal. Fantastic atmosphere and great service and great food. A member of staff that particularly stood out was a young lady called Megan. She was so friendly and helpful and constantly smiled and couldn’t do enough for our party of 6. She is a valued member of the team and really nailed the 5* customer service keep up the hard work xx
We visited today to celebrate our Dad’s 70th birthday as a meeting place between our families. All the food was excellent quality, very reasonably priced and generous portion sizes, and the staff were attentive, friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back if we are in the area again, thank you very much! 🤩
Nice pub good selection of beers, nice friendly staff. The food was good , I had the roast which was nice and a cauliflower cheese and bacon side which was ok. Will definitely try again.
Been again and had the fox burger which was superb and the handout chips are sublime. Our server was brilliant , so now adding a 🌟
Love the Fox, food is delicious and kitchen chef’s need more credit than they get. Excellent friendly staff who can’t do enough for us. We visit couple of times a week and hadn’t had a bad meal yet.
Portion sizes are superb and very tasty. 5* from us 😋
We went to listen to the christmas carols by a brass ensemble. The place was packed! Luckily, we booked a table. I had the ultimate fish and chips. All freshly prepared. Definitely the best fish and chips I've had in a pub. Fully recommend this pub.
Booked a table on Monday 29 Jan 2024. 50% off food which was an excellent offer and has been available throughout January, although some items were unavailable the majority of mains were available. Food, service and staff were excellent.
We had Christmas lunch here yesterday and it was a lovely experience.
The food was delicious, the staff attentive and very pleasant and the crackers were brilliant! We spent a fun time reading the jokes and trivia cards.
Good place for a quick meal and a relaxing drink. Has good parking outside with some seats for those nicer days.
Me and my wife visited the fox for the first time. We both chose the ultimate fish scampi and chips. I have to say we were both impressed with the food and service, the one minor constructive criticism is that my wife thought we would get a choice of bread.
The Xmas decorations are amazing, we'll be visiting again. 5 stars

My sister had her wedding meal here with family & a few close friends. The manager was very helpful from the start, he said we could have the room to ourselves so it would be private. He was also helpful in advising what food to choose because of the number of people attending. There was no pressure to choose, all he needed was confirmation the week before.
On the day there were some of the guests who wanted to choose from the menu, which was not a problem and all the food was available at the same time. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious, everyone said how lovely the food was. There was lots of food left over and the manager provided containers so guests took take food home.
We have nothing but praise for all of the staff on the day who were lovely, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all very, very much.
We would thoroughly recommend The Fox to anyone who is thinking of eating here, you will not be disappointed.
