Tasty
I must say the food here is really amazing had the rice and the meat is inside absolutely beautiful and not that expensive neither definitely worth a visit
Well the have been a fan of Al - faham my entire college life. There was this afgani food joint in Banglore where we used to Hogg on Al- Faham .
But this time in this outlet I actually tried real Afgani cuisine and the Al - Faham was out of this world .
They specialise in clay oven charcoal kebebs and I agree the kebabas are special here . I now know what a Al - Faham actually taste like . very different from the Indian spicy one available .
Afghan Cuisine offers incredible value for money and the entire meal, including bottled water, came to less than £30.00. This was the latest in a long line of visits to Afghan Cuisine and it won’t be the last. The food is excellent, great value and served in surroundings that would have you believe that you’re on holiday in another part of the world.
Just the quaint little restaurant with good food. Ended up here after roaming around the Curry Mile looking for something which fits the budget and is tasty too. Afghan cuisine attracted me as I had never tasted Afghan food.
The menu is not huge which is a good thing. We ordered Chicken Al-faham and a Kabab platter.
The Chicken Al-faham was perfectly cooked with a nice saffron colour. It tasted great, with the right blend of spices and cooked to perfection.
The lamb sheekh kabab was a tad-bit egg flavoured, maybe a the chef put a more egg to keep the shape. The taste was good. It came with a soft Naan. The chicken kababs were nice too.
Overall, a good place to grab a bite when fine-dine is not what you are looking for. It has dine-in and seating in two floors. Prices are reasonable, our bill for the two dishes (enough for two average eaters) came to about £13.
The qabli pilau rice was delicious and I would highly recommend - the meat was cooked well and tender. The kobeda and nan bread were also fresh and tasty. Amazing food, thank you
An amazingly delicious Qabli Rice every time we eat here. We've been dining at Afghan Cuisine for over 12 years and the recipe has remained unchanged. The Manto, Qabli Pilau, and Rotisserie Chicken on Rice are simply delicious. It's always busy here! Service is pretty quick despite the busyness, sometimes at Eid you have to wait up to 10 minutes for a table but otherwise, when we dined last night (Saturday evening, October 2023) there were plenty of tables available.
The Chicken on Rice that we ordered came with a complimentary salad and two sauces (yogurt and mint raita, and a spicy sauce with tomatoes and chillies). The chicken was succulent yet the skin was crispy!
I recommend coming here for authentic and hearty food. Yes the prices have increased lately but it's worth dining here every now and then!
Delicious food and great atmosphere.
Service is very good. The quality of food and prices are reasonable.
Highly recommend it.

The mixed platter is delicious and is sufficient for 2/3 individuals.
Very delicious, nice and cooperative staff
Wow...
Fabolous place, very delicious kebab , Chops and Afghani rice...
Real taste of food.
Food was delicious. Best place to explore the authentic Arabian dishes. Actually it was suggested by a friend and no doubt, it was really a 'worth visiting' place for Arabian food lovers. Cash only payment was the only -ve I found in here and taking 1 star for that.Hopefully they'll sort it soon.
Sat upstairs, the place was fairly clean.
Food came very quickly, kebabs were nice, but we're too huge and a little salty.
Overall was a good experience.
My fav restaurant in rusholme area! Had double kobeda with bukhari rice and it was banging! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Yesterday I went there for eating dinner, for eating my first meal in Manchester after a long trip, I ate my middle eastern food, it was good and tasty food, but their spoons and forks were plastic I hate it, and one another thing they use a type of spicy and put in every food, I don't like it, taste like Indian foods, however, have a clean place with respectful staff.
The food is mostly nice and cooked well. Been to this place many times, and the service is really fast. The staff is also good.
Best kobeda and kabilao pilao ever !! Absolutely spot on ! Staff deliver a rilliant customer service and seating area are nice too. Quality, quantity and price are thr perfect combo for a nice meal !
Really nice food, good value of money, and polite staff.
Highly recommended!
Lip smacking, clean, and soo gooood !!! Can’t wait for our next trip to Manchester to eat here again.
We haven't tried the Kebabs much.
But I would recommend to try the
1. Qabily Pillow (Kabuli Pulav)
3. Double Kobeda Kabab (Lamb Kebab)
You’ll love it.
Every time I pass Manchester it is a mandatory ritual to go here.
The food is AMAZING! Best Kabuli Pilau you would ever have. The amount of meat they give and the flavours are to die for.
Everything and anything from here tastes amazing. Literally in my top 5 restaurants across the UK.
The prices are reasonable too.
They have a big seating area upstairs.
The restaurant is always full of people which says a lot about the food.
I love this place and will recommend it to anyone who loves good food and flavours.
Do not miss this place if you are in Manchester!
A decent restaurant with typical delicious afghani food.
PROS: location, staff, food options, food quality, taste
CONS: interior, cleanliness
So this place is actually serving authentic Afghani cuisine.
I tried their faham with rice, which is chicken cooked in a tight grill over the coal with kabuli pilau which is the famous rice that people from Afghanistan eat it does not have a lot of spice but has sliced carrots and raisins which gives it an amazing taste.
I wanted to order chicken kebab but unfortunately they do not have minced chicken kebab instead of that I tried their lamb kebab which turned out to be absolutely fantastic.
Their red (salsa) sauce is delicious. If you are going there just make sure you order some rice to takeaway for the next day and trust me, I am regretting not ordering some extra rice for the next day...
One of the best in the city
There food is so authentic
They grill meat in a clay oven and nothing can beat that
They cook naan on another designated clay oven and I can undoubtedly say they are one of the best 8 had
There mantu were fresh with generous filling
There daal(qorma) was soo tasty and that's not even on the menu
There chicken alfaham is to die for and so are kebabs and tikka
Do try their tomato mint chutney and raita.
Food 10/10
Service 10/10
Ambience 8/10
