Nice pool tables, but it’s a bit weird that their system for pool payment doesn’t involve paying per game but paying per hour. Theoretically you could continue playing after your hour’s up because all that changes is that the light goes out above the table.
Cocktails are a good price, toilets are pretty alright, and the bouncers are nice enough!
This was my first time coming here. I loved it. The food was plentiful, delicious and new. On top of this the decor is dark but atmospheric, with a dim light setting the mood. You are greeted with tasteful music, which gives off very good vibes.
I could not recommend this more, it also has free pool on Wednesdays.
Came to Manchester to see Fall Out Boy went to Black Dog Ballroom before gig it was great, good selection of beers and food was great, mainly burgers and chips. It's a grungy place for good rock music, staff were great and there is a discount at the moment 25% if you can prove you are going to a gig that night.
Darts and pool also available, good selection of beers + Guinness. Great place always go for a game here when ever in Manchester.
Very much enjoyed the food at Black Dog Ballroom (/salt and pepper). Good value for food, tasty fries and decent chicken - can't complain, would recommend!
Food was good but difficult to eat - need to find burger buns with some structural integrity; also offer some dips (inc. pizza sauce) as extras; hotdogs and option to remove spicy toppings and sauces. The atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly although it's a little pricey.
We were attending an event here so we arrived early to grab some food. The food was amazing.
Just home from a private party for my son in law . Beautiful place staff extremely friendly and very helpful. Tom on the bar went that extra mile for us defo 10* service. Highly recommended
60th birthday party in the downstairs room. Perfect size and atmosphere. Great personal service from the team. Very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend.

We did only go for drinks so can't comment on anything else. We know there's some pool tables and there's only stairs access.
Cocktails a tad on the expensive side for what they are, but it's a decent place, great atmosphere and the bonus of hiring a pool table for unlimited games £10 for an hour
The booze and the atmosphere are great! Deffo worth a visit sadly the food isnt up to scratch but I'd 100% come again
