We visited Chennai Dosa on February 24th, 2024. It was a busy spot and not fancy, but the food was really tasty.
First, we had Poori and Chole Bhatura, and I was happy because they weren't too oily, which is different from other places.
We tried Chilli Fried Idly next, but I wasn’t too happy with
The food was excellent and service was good. It was worth of money. Everyone should definitely try this.
Nimitha did great service and good customer service. She was excellent in her job and took care of her customer very well. Good job nimitha 🙏🏽
We thought the starters were great but the mains were OK, mine wasn't what I asked for
(Med/hot) came mild which was OK but could have been better, naan great, rice and roti good all in all would probably still go again but would try others around first to see if they were any better as this missed
Casual dining restaurant. Excellent Indian breakfast, would definitely visit again! Staff very attentive.
There was also a popular breakfast buffet which we didn’t try this time but would be tempted to on a future visit.
Coming to starters, We ordered chilli chicken and Gobi Manchurian which I didn't like that much as they were too sweet.
Next we ordered Idli and Idiyappam which were satisfying.
At last we ordered chicken fried rice which was okayish and then ordered mutton biryani which was awesome.
Been going here several times. Drive 1h each way to get here. Worth the drive for me. Breakfast buffet is £12.50 now includes unlimited idly, vada, bhajji, payasam, plain uthappam, onion uthappam, plain dosa, masala dosa, poori bhaji, pongal, veg upma, excellent sambhar, excellent coconut chutney, m
Amazing breakfast, lots of choice and a buffet option. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Obviously very popular as it was busy for breakfast on Sunday.
This is one of THE BEST restaurants I have visited so far. We thoroughly enjoy the food everytime we visit. When we feel tired and wanna eat home cooked food, we drive to Chennai Dosa!
Quality food in affordable price!
Ghee roast here is just out of the world. Would definitely go back here just for the ghee roast. The other dish I had was chicken masala dosa and it was decent.
Authentic south Indian taste. Made me go back in time and place to Yzag, Chennai and Bangalore. I was very happy I visited this place and I am sure to go back lots more times.
Parking is available a lil bit down the road to a side.
Visit 2: September 2020: Social distancing in place.
Took my Greek

Authentic food with true taste of South India. Very good service. Licensed premises. Spacious seating. Good decor.
The food is very good. The taste is quite authentic for most of the dishes. If you want a proper south Indian meal, this is the place to go!!! The quality has improved quite significantly in the last few years and a must visit if you want an authentic south Indian food!
Great food that is tasty and consistent. This is mostly south indian food, a change from the usual north indian food. the portions are good and the price is good for what you get. over all a great eat with a relaxed vibe.
Great tasting South Indian restaurant with nostalgic seating and cutlery. Transported back to a genuine South Indian place. Good portion size, friendly service, authentic taste!
