I really like this place. What can I say? Anywhere with an old piano is likely to get my vote. It's friendly and cosy and down to earth. They research their vegan cheese. They understand kids. They have boardgames. You can go as a group for anything from a coffee to a meal to a milkshake and everyone is catered for, as there are decent vegan options. (Ok if you can't go even one meal without meat then maybe skip this place, but you'd be missing out on good brews, cakes and orgasimic milkshakes). I ordered the burger and the chips it came with were homemade, plentiful and bloody lovely. Did I mention vegan brownies AND milkshakes?? ♡

So me and my friend visited boho in January. We weren’t wowed but we weren’t completely disgraced and put off returning (drink and a cake on this visit). We both thought about writing a review but on coming on here and seeing some of the awful things people had said recently we decided the girls who work there, who are so nice and lovely, didn’t deserve it. Yesterday we had some free time so headed on down after seeing Facebook updates on menu changes and some maintenance being done. Wow what a pleasant and amazing turn around. The cafe was warm, smell free, clean and felt/looked welcoming. We received our drinks within a couple of minutes and were advised when ordering food that it would take around 20 mins (perfect! Time for a quick game of scrabble and a natter). Also spotted a little board behind the till/counter that advised food waiting time which I thought was brilliant. Our breakfast wraps arrived and although they were out of black pudding it was still amazing and the beans on it were something to die for. From reading the reviews previously I’d spotted people had mentioned the 1* rating so asked one of the girls about this. I’m a qualified chef so know it isn’t just based on the food area, all other aspects are involved and was happy to hear the girls had had a rescore which was a massive improvement. I totally forgot to take a picture of my food and drink but I was too excited for my hot choc and hadn’t eaten all morning so couldn’t wait to eat my wrap. All I’d say to anyone who reads the reviews first before attending, don’t let others put you off, especially the bad. Everyone’s perceptions and preferences are different and just because they didn’t enjoy it doesn’t mean you won’t love it like I did. I’d definitely go again (today if I wasn’t so busy and every day of the week if work didn’t exist) but it’s definitely my mission to get all my friends there. I’m also not a vegan and love meat but really enjoyed the food which I was shocked about. Thanks for the lovely visit girls I’ll be back soon xx

I’ve popped in a few times since opening & only just getting round to reviewing. The girls who set up & run this cafe have put their hearts into everything. It has evolved over time (menu, decor, staff, events & organisation) & I think they’re now hitting the sweet spot. The menu isn’t over complicated & the shakes are outstanding (although vegan options mean not quite as extensive). Today I went in & had a delicious shake whilst breastfeeding my daughter, I felt very comfortable & welcome as well as very satisfied with my tasty drink.

Absolutely loved this place and so did my girls. Amazing food with to die for shakes and desserts. All veggie or vegan and most can be veganised. Loved the chill out play room upstairs and the vibe and service is amazing. There are games to play and books to read and it's dog friendly 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🌱🌿🍃💚

Been there quite a few times now and the food is always beautiful. Last week I had a sharing platter and it was next level :'). The deserts are also amazing, always a lovely vibe to! <3

A beautiful place, lovely atmosphere and lovely people! I would recommend Boho Utopia to everybody, their food is amazing and there are plenty of comfy beanbags and sofas to sit on and enjoy the books and games around the café. Their milkshakes are the best milkshakes I have ever had and the unicorn one is a work of art 👍🦄I can't wait to come back!

Top place with great vegan options. Had the vegan Sloppy Joes which was delicious! The hand cut chips were also well more-ish!! Affordable and chilled vibe :) Great hangout for food and friends xo

Fantastic place! Just been in for a drink with my littlest one who is four. Lovely staff, lots to keep him entertained and he was very pleased to be able to choose his own cup. ☺ Great quality hot drinks and food. A long overdue and very welcome addition to Withington.

Cute little place with a good chilled vibe, nice selection of food and drinks. I appreciate their effort with being more and more vegan. They always welcome my dog with a smile too!

Love the quirks of this vegan cafe! You pick your own mug when you order a hot drink, there’s many to choose from. There’s a chalk board downstairs if you want to write something plus quotes dotted about. A bookshelf with lots of book options, plus games! I got the mac n cheese with garlic bread which was ok, a chai latte with cashew milk - delicious and also a ‘bounty’ type dessert. It was quite nice! There were loads of cake options too. I will definitely return.

We had a unicorn afternoon tea for two which was so so good. It's 15 pounds per person and not only do you get so much food you won't have to eat for the rest of the day, you also get a unicorn milkshake or unicorn hot chocolate each. The atmosphere is homely and warm, and the waitress made us feel welcome. Only downside was the fact that we couldn't pay by card, but they have since gotten a card machine so we'd definitely go back.

Needed a place to study close to home and found this gem! Had a great experience here. Ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup, also had some of the raspberry white chocolate loaf. Love the fact that its 100% vegan. Will be back here frequently as the vibe, service, and food are genuinely great.

Great little cafe, really friendly and nice atmosphere. The food and coffee is great, you won't believe it is all vegan when you eat it. Highly recommend, a real find.

What a gem of a vegan haunt. Delish foods of comfort and filth. Cheesey, carby, and tasty as hell. Go add the battered shrooms to every meal! Love it when I get to choose anything on the menu. Meat eating friends always gorge themselves silly too and complement it always. Never a higher praise than from a sceptic meat muncher;) Keep it up lovelies- shall be back soon!

Such a lovely little cafe with a great atmosphere . The woman working was so lovely and friendly too. Loads of vegan options (all cakes & cookies were vegan). I had a delicious cashew milk latte. Can't wait to go back again x

Great variety in breakfast and lunch menu and very well prepared. The shakes on offer are epic, you need to starve yourself before attempting one. They don't take cards, but there is an ATM 1 minute away.

Really quirky little place. Very good for vegans. Seemed very busy which to me always says a lot. The chai latte was absolutely delicious, and the sourdough toast I had to accompany my breakfast wrap was just excellent. Simple, yet satisfying. Would highly recommend it to anyone, vegan or not.

Great coffee, really cool atmosphere and such lovely staff! Loads of Vegan cakes and treats too! The photo I've attached is from a mural outside the WC, the whole place has a really kid/family friendly feel 😀 Plenty of board games lying around as well!

What a lovely spot. Nice food, amazing cake and great coffee. We had the boho brekkie and the gyro wrap. Both were really nice. It was great to go to a place where we could eat everything, not just one vegan option. Looking forward to going back and trying more things off the menu.

Great coffee and awesome food! There's a deli fridge with vegan friendly produce and support for local businesses selling their wares. Love the 'choose your own mug' set up and really friendly whether you're on your own, in a group, or with kids.

Great little cafe, the vibe here is really great it just feels warm and cosy. The food is also quite nice and that is coming from a non vegan. The addition of board games, books, the piano and the room upstairs work to really round off a great experience in a great cafe.

First time tried vegan food. Found it very tasty. Decorated quite differently in a good way. Plenty of things to do while you wait for food. Lady serving was very friendly. We enjoyed our time here. Recomended.

I visited Boho Utopia today with my newly vegan boyfriend for some lunch and have to hand it to the girls they’ve done a great job with the renovation! I’d been a few times over the past 3 years and left feeling disappointed, the ventilation was really poor, they were understaffed (both things I know they were keen to address!) and the food was a bit too heavy for me so i’d kind of written the place off to be honest- I’m SOOOO glad I gave it another chance since the renovation as the place has transformed! The food is amazing, the coffees are amazing, they’ve managed to fix the ventilation issue and have new staff who are super friendly! Vegan or not i’d Highly recommend visiting... especially if you love dogs... there were three when I visited 😍 We’ll definitely be back soon!
