Such a fantastic restaurant! We felt so welcomed by the staff, as well as the food being excellent. We shared a lot of dishes including XO scallops, chopped sweet & sour spare ribs, fried asparagus, sour cabbage fish soup, smashed cucumber & cumin lamb. They were all stand out dishes which I would recommend. We can't wait to come back here :)

Authentic Sichuan style Chinese restaurant. They also do bbq and hotpot. We have tried spicy fish/ chicken /intestines and egg fried rice, food was spicy enough and was tasty. Staff is super very friendly and polite. £56 for 3 dishes, 1 egg fried rice and 1 steam rice, a pot of tea. Very reasonable price in China Town. The only thing is the portion size was a bit small but overall it is a good place to try.

Was up visiting Manchester and needed some spicy Chinese food. What a great place. Ask for the Chinese menu. We had the pork thigh in savoury sauce, the boiled beef slices in hot chili oil and the fish fragrant aubergine, all excellent. Good prices, really friendly owner and big portions. Definitely be back.

I was disappointed with the food but the staff was so nice and friendly that i will still leave 4 stars ⭐️ I ordered the corn and chicken soup. It was alright but the chicken had a strange side taste. I also got the lemon duck which is something i never ordered in a Chinese restaurant before but it was the first on the menu so assumed it was a star dish. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the duck. The sauce was overly sweet and didn’t taste anything like natural lemons but rather like a soda. Furthermore the duck itself was stiff and overcooked and felt like it had been cooked a day before and then just put in batter and cooked for this dish. The rice was ok. Also got a bottled beer. Overall I was sad and disappointed because I was really looking forward to trying out this restaurant especially considering the positive reviews it has.

VERY VERY GOOD. I stayed in Manchester for 3 days, had 2 of my dinner here. The portion was HUGE, so it's a very good price. The taste of the foods were incredible, I've had so many Chinese food in my life but I gotta say this is the best I had. I recommend this restaurant very much. Go with your family and friends, and order as many as you can.

What an amazing find! Red Restaurant was exactly what we needed after a cold day out. Delicious comfort food executed with love and care, as authentic and proper as it gets. Phoned ahead for a 9pm reservation and they gladly accommodated. Cumin lamb was epic, the lamb is first deep fried till it develops a crispy layer before being stir fried in an aromatic mix of cumin and onions. Each bite was an explosion of flavors. For the main event, fish in sour veg soup was hot and tangy, a moreish dish perfect with a warm bowl of rice. For some fiber, the salted fish with aubergine was fragrant and savoury. Alicia gave us some of the warmest service from start of the meal till the end. Already looking forward to the next visit.

Chinese buffet hotpot, reasonable price nearby China town Manchester. You can choose 8 types of meat/vegetables at a time but remember to choose the level of spiciness as you do not like what this is going to 😅. All the aunties here are so friendly and lovely, they even asked us to be careful with our credit card information while paying the bill.

A family run place. There are two different menus. One if you prefer a standard fare and one if you are looking for some interesting and authentic Chinese (I am myself not Chinese but have traveled to China a bunch of times). Pigs intestines and ox tails kind of things. Everything very fresh and tasty. They have an interesting design. There is also a lot of space inside. Overall, I highly recommend it. It feels rather different than other Chinese places.

Was a weekend away with friends and we ended up eating here. The food was absolutely amazing, we took a Set A for 4 people and some starters on the side. Not kidding when I say the honey spare ribs were among the best ribs I've ever had. The service too was amazing and our host was very lovely. Definitely a hard recommend 😊
