Awesome selection of dosas. Classics like the plain dosa and masala dosa.. to specials like cheese dosa, kal dosa.. also they got loads of other south indian food on the menu.. one of the best south Indian food at affordable price in the Manchester area.. friendly staff, good ambiance.. parking on street available. Highly recommended.
OMG!! I loved it! No words!! Best dosa outside south India, so far!! I live in US rite now and I am here in Manchester for a week. My hunger for south asian food is satiated!!!
Amazing proper indian food. the chicken lollipops, gobi 65 & ckn chatinad are a must!
A very special place. A cafe with draught beer, that has good quality Indian food. Ideal for a casual meet up with friends.
One of the best South Indian restaurants in UK. Any dish you order in the menu, it's delicious. And dong forget to try Pan after food.
Absolutely gorgeous food and 5* service I will definitely go back for delicious food 😀
Great cafe, worth a visit! South indian food is the best
Amazing food, amazing value for money! Love the chutneys.
Very nice food and good customer service
Excellent food and friendly service. Enjoyed our evening meal here and the service really made a difference. Quick service and the timing of mains after starters was very nicely managed. The place is extremely popular among the south indian crowd. Makes you feel at home as you get to see a lot of keralites/tamilians which is otherwise rare. Recommended!
The pani puri was delicious, so full of flavour. We then had the gobi manchurian, the flavour was a little unusual and there was more batter than cauliflower. My boyfriend (who is from bangalore) said that the taste was not authentic or what he would have had back home.
However, all was redeemed with the main - masala dosa with idly and vada. Delicious, authentic and huge portions! Great value. Would definitely come again.
Food- 3.5
Ambience- 3
Service- 4
Cost- 4
As the name suggests, they make good Dosas in Manchester. Can't compare to the proper Indian taste of Dosas though but if you are longing for a Dosa you can visit this place. I wouldn't visit this place again though.
Awesome food ... The masala Dosa is really crispy and worth the money
Though i am not a big fan of south indian food but i wanted to try it in manchester. I was a bit dubious to try dosa express but once i was there everything was fantastic. the food is great, the dishes are mouth watering and the chutney's complement the courses really well . the best thing about the place is the quantity of food at such cheap prices .. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all south indian food lovers :)
Dosa lovers, this is your place. Small cost restaurant with a wide variety of dosas. Also try the chicken curry and paratha.
Where can you find an Indian breakfast in Manchester? Here! After much searching my wife discovered this place online and she wasn't disappointed. I can't really review her Indian breakfast because I'm not adventurous enough to try on but she told me it was very authentic. I can say that my English breakfast was decent. It was as good as anything from "normal" cafe but nothing more. In summary if you want a traditional Indian breakfast then this is for you and people who want a full English you'll be happy enough.
We ordered 4 different types of dosa. Everything we had was excellent. Looking forward to going back in the future and trying some other things off the menu. Very reasonably priced and large portions. Service was very good too.
By far the best meal Ive had in a restaurant in a very long time. We had the pani puri, madras masala dosa, kadai paneer and carrot halwa. All of them were phenomenal. The carrot halwa is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Service is great. Get yourselves down.
Excellent South Indian cuisine, tried the Ghee Masala Dosa and Onion Uthapam. Very authentic and extremely reasonable prices. Service is great, very friendly and responsive staff. Definitely recommended!
It is a homely place with a relaxing atmosphere. The food is deliciously different, plentiful and reasonably priced. You will find some dishes which are different from the usual curry house, and, believe me, they are well worth trying. I loved the whole experience. No fancy frills, just good, hearty food served with love.
Food is exquisite, very flavourful. I've never seen as much variety/flavours in dosas. The menu makes it difficult to choose just one dish! I would highly recommend masala paper dosa, malabar fish curry Dopiaza is boneless and very tasty. Superb parotta and we also tried the egg kothu parotta which I've never tried before but instantly loved the taste and flavour. Cardomom tea is really aromatic and refreshing. We will certainly return soon.
An excellent Tuesday lunch! I had the ‘Tuesday deal’ which included Dosa, Rice, Soup and host of sides, great value. Particular recommendations for the Carrot Halwa sweet and vegetable curry, both rich in flavour!
Everything is absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a trip to eat in.
Very affordable rate.. but starter options was not that good as we ordered panner 65 but it was not like it, it's totally different. But Dosa option and taste was good but be prepared for service as only 2 person are there how manage on all tables.
This is the best restaurant in all segments. Fantastic customer service and so kind to everyone. Especially when I went there ( 22-July-22) at evening time. I am surprised with the taste of South Indian Style. Impressive Experience 😊
We recently tried this DosaXpress in Manchester and it was a delightful experience. We ordered ghee dosas and it was so crispy and tasty. The starters here are excellent option and i was very particular in love with their sambar vada. Must try place for all …!
One of the Best authentic Indian restaurant in Manchester! Very tasty and spicy food.. Chicken fried rice, the best and fresh food in the house, Devil chicken good one to try.. Friendly staff. The only drawback is the place is damn cold..
Great food, big portions and Sid the waiter was very helpful explaining the menu to us! Would recommend - the huge menu means there will be something for everyone
I would highly recommend DosaXpress!! We started with Hot & Sour chicken soup which they kindly made specially for us. We also had Dahi Puri, Vada Sambhar, Chicken Sizzler & Chilly coriander masala dosa. Everything was fantastic. We also got complementary chips which was the icing on the cake.
Lovely food at DosaXpress today. The masala dosa was fantastic. Service was great and waiter made sure we were able to get the deal with a drink included. Very good value for money. As it was a weekday afternoon it was quiet but also we could see it was popular for takeout orders at this time instead.
One of the best south Indian restaurants in Manchester. Amazing food, good ambience and excellent friendly service. The flavours were authentic Indian and unadulterated. They also have Indo-chinese food on the menu which we never find in Manchester. Will definitely visit again with my friends and recommend to others. Great work guys 👌🏽
The best dosa and chutneys in Manchester! I also had their puri and aloo masala which was just like back home. Really loved the dahi puri. It was such a pleasant surprise to find this tiny establishment that serves up proper South Indian cuisine. The staff were very polite and friendly. Thank you!
Enjoyed every bit of our dosa! Highly recommended.
