Every time I've been to Manchester recently always go in this pub can be expensive but excellent choice of real ales and always very friendly staff. Try it see what you think
Lovely pub on the very edge of the city centre, with a nice selection of beers. Great selection of pies, also!
Friendly staff with an excellent ever changing range of beers. Good variety of cider and gin too so there will be something for everyone. The pies are to die for too
Good to see this place firmly back on the tour map. Used to frequent this place, back in the day, before it closed and dilapidation set in, disgracefully. Now well on its way back. Great staff and service. It doesn't take much to make a pub great, they have it right, in spades.
Good selection of beer and lager. Friendly staff. Cracking little pub.
Great wee pub with fantastic ceilings you should get in before they are fully restored
The pub is a haven for beer drinkers and also keeps excellent quality wines and spirits for their friends.
Beers are well priced for Manchester; staff are top notch
Friendly welcoming hosts and lovely locals
Our first visit, but it won't be our last. Good range of beers and loved the ornate ceiling
Nice beer, excellent surroundings, prices not bad fir the city centre
Probably the best pub in Manchester.
A great pub, well worth a visit.
An unusual and historic pub. Worth visiting if you are in the area. Good beer (the most important bit!) in an atmospheric, interesting building.
Unique
A quiet midweek evening to chill out with a good beer. Plenty of ales to go at including several specials - watch out for the small specials board perched on one end of the bar.
Always been a firm favourite of mine even in the days when it was a Wilson’s tied house. The decor is simply awe inspiring and has to be seen to be believed. There’s always a great and interesting selection of cask ales on sale - never a dull moment 👍🏻
The Crown and Kettle is a lovely pub with a good selection of cask and keg beers and ciders from various breweries all of which that we had were in perfect condition and was simply a pleasure to drink there. All in all a lovely pub that will suit everyone.
This pub has been boarded up for decades and I always remember it as a kid with the red boards on the window and the old radio store to the left . This was when Ancoats wasn’t in the city centre and no one lived there ! I always wondered about the history of it and what this incredible building looked like inside ! Now I’ve been in and seen it and it’s fabulous . I’d love the owners to compile information about its history and who has lived there over the ages since 1800 . I’m unsure whether the interior should be restored or just left ? Should your cats tales clocks be waggling ? 🤔 Great range of ales and a nice relaxed atmosphere mid week :)
Lot of things changed here in the past 3-4 years. The selection of beers was much better when Nicky was in charge.
Still one of my favorite pubs.
The Crown and Kettle, situated in Manchester's Ancoats neighborhood near the city center, occupies a stunning Victorian building along Great Ancoats Street. It's an ideal spot for socializing with friends, boasting a diverse selection of beers that has garnered them a reputation. While the service is top-notch, some of the beers may be on the pricier side.
Stunning building and great real ale bar. I spent most of the time enjoying the architecture of the ceilings. Love the repurpose of this. Retaining features and turning it into a really really nice venue
Great selection of craft beers. Really cool old building with lots of history showing on the walls and ceiling. Staff were very friendly and chatty

From the spectacular architecture to the friendly service and range of drinks, this place is always worth a visit! The outdoor sitting in summer is definitely a plus, and even in winter the inside of the pub is something unique and very welcoming.
Extra points for having alcohol free and gluten free options!
Cracking big old building with some great craft and cask beers on tap. Staff friendly and helpful.
