The food was good. Yes, it doesn’t look very appealing but the portion was fair and curries were tasty for the price we paid. Obviously the owner doesn’t care about any improvements or presentation. But it was a great contrast to hipster places in the area 😆

Last time I was there was over 10 years ago and the owner still remembered who I was. Don't go there for decor or flair or an extensive menu but it's so worth going in. The food tastes homemade and is wonderfully spicy and full of flavour. They still do rice and 3 curries with about 5 to 6 curry

Food was absolutely delicious! Had rice and three (okra, chickpeas and aubergine). Lots of great vegetarian options and very friendly service. Bear in mind it's cash only

Went here on the recommendation of a colleague, and I'm glad I did. Definitely no frills on the presentation or decor, but don't let that put you off.

Been coming on and off of or 10+ years. I heard yadgars had struggled in lockdown. Hadn't visited for a while so went for lunch on Friday. It's still great. straightforward - 3 and rice. 3 veg £6 if you want meat a little more. Very tasty. Shall now make it a regular.

Great “home cooked” style curries and related dishes. Yadgar offers a more down to Earth, no frills experience at a very reasonable price. Ideally located in the Northern Quarter and no need to book.
