Kala - Manchester - Photo album

The dishes were great on paper, so I decided to go the 2-course way to try starters and mains. The duck was tasty and abundant, the trout was so good. Decided to also try the lamb's tongue and wasn't disappointed.
Had a lovely lunch here with a group of friends today. Food was great. Service was also friendly and professional. They really looked after us.
Nice restaurant. I had the January deal. Welsh rarebit toast for start and the confit duck for mains. Overall the food was really nice, I felt the duck on it's own could have done with some more flavour but that's my personal opinion. The dish as a whole was really nice when eaten together. The star
We visited here with family as a group of 4 for Sunday lunch Locally sourced ingredients All amazingly fresh Service was fab and the food absolutely Devine Only criticism is they don’t have mint sauce for my beef roast pudding (I know !!!!!!) Brought over some incredible whipped horseradish to c
Had a delicious birthday meal here. The food was great and so too was the service. The kind of place where you want to eat everything on the menu and it's all great value for the very high quality food on offer. Would highly recommend!
Food was amazing... Service was good but could have been more attentive. Wasn't too busy but we waited for 15 minutes until someone came to take our drinks order. Then another 10 minutes to take food order. I had the turkey was delicious... Could have done with a nice Yorkshire pudding with the turk
We dined on a Friday night and the restaurant was quieter than expected. The cuisine was excellent, well presented and executed, particularly the crab cake and poached pear. Service was efficient. I don’t rate it 5 stars as the surroundings and ambience didn’t match the quality of the food. The ligh
Had a beautiful meal at Kala- everything was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and attentive - had the salmon and the chicken and the chips are the best chips I’ve ever had. All of the options looked great and I could probably have ordered anything off the menu. Even the bread was incredibl
Came for the Valentine's Day dinner. It was brilliant overall. Their social media is so good that it made us want to visit. The food was perfect, sublime, and seasoned perfectly. It was one of the better meals I've had in Manchester. Only decor critique, the disabled toilets are dingy and need a maj
The food was excellent, well presented and cooked to perfection, with good portion sizes with the exception of the fish dish that one of us had, which in my opinion was extremely small. I also felt the black pudding starter was a very small portion. £39 for a bottle of white wine seemed excessive, b
We had a wonderful evening at Kala. Warm and friendly welcome and had some cocktails to start that were top class. Our starters of pate and buffalo mozzarella were delicious, really good to see enough sourdough for the generous portion of pate. We both went for the flat iron steak for mains - it
A bit pricier than your regular roast but absolutely worth every cent! The ambience and staff were so lovely and the food was amazing! I had the beef roast and a sticky toffee pudding to finish and I couldn't have eaten another bite! 2 courses for 35 pounds, it was delicious! Compliments to the tale
This is the nicest place I've eaten in a long time. The food was out of this world, the service was like nothing I've experienced anywhere else, staff seemed really happy to see you and serve you. The atmosphere was great, busy but not crowded and I really can't say anything wrong about Kala. 10/10.
This is our first time to Kala. We have been to Hispi a few times before, so we knew what to expect. The food and service were good but not on par with Hispi... it seemed that the waiting staff had more covers/tables to look after, so service was a bit hit and miss... our mains of beef/cabbage were
We wanted a casual yet great quality meal while in Manchester and Kala absolutely hit the mark. The food was exceptionally well considered and prepared, service was friendly with the trademark northern humour, and the atmosphere was also on point. The staff were able to work around some dietary requ
Not only a nice atmosphere but also great food and nice staff 🤩 We had the two course menue but added dessert and Espresso Martini in the end. It was very delicious and we were full in the end. Absolutely worth going here when you are in the area
Really enjoyable dinner location, bringing a little luxury to the evening. The lovely interior is elegant with some shine added in. Staff are attentive with even new team members drilled to look after the hungry. The open kitchen is a nice touch and only adds to the delight. Food wise it strikes a g
The best restaurant I’ve tried in Manchester so far! The atmosphere is buzzing and the staff are attentive and cheerful. The food is delicious with a fab range of texture and great flavour combinations (pushing the boat out while avoiding being unappetising). Recommend for meat lovers and veggies al
