Love this place. Vegetarian/vegan options are excellent, you get a massive plate full of food and the staff are always smiling.
Absolutely fantastic popped in not knowing what to eat but the guy behind the counter was very helpful decided on the deep fried chicken with rice and beans,mutton curry and slaw,it was very tasty,fresh and hot,then went back for some jerk chicken.loved the place I will be going again,staff always there to help if you need.
Located right in the middle of the city centre and easy to find, The food is amazing specially the meatballs and I would recommend trying the beef brisket soft and easily falls of the bone also the sweet potato fries and loved how they had delicious vegan options, definitely looking forward to my next visit!

Just had jerk chicken with plantain, great portion sizes and very tasty. Not spicy like some jerk I've had but very tasty none the less!

Wow! I saw the reviews and dribbled when I read the menu for months and when I finally went the food was AMAZING. I had breadfruit curry with rice and peas, vegan slaw, sweet potato fritters and sweetcorn fritters. The flavours were perfect and just the right amount of heat. Can't wait to go back!
Amazing curry! I was just on my way home when I passed this cute shack. The curry selection is amazing! Loads of vegan options, too. I will come here more regularly now for lunch.
Great spices on the chicken! I love it here. Have been back a few times for the jerk chicken on a bed of rice and peas. The soup is also excellent. Definitely worth a visit, especially any time you feel like a bit of Jamaican fare. These guys are popular and it is easy to see why, the food is sooo tasty.

As a Jamaican, finding an authentic Jamaican place can be very difficult especially if you are in the city centre and want somewhere to sit and dine. We had seen reviews and Instagram posts of here and finally bit the bullet and visited.
The location is convenient, practically next to the Arndale and the store front is easily spotted with its reggae inspired colours/theme. The lady who served me was friendly and helpful. The chef's were authentic Jamaicans and that was the overall decider as I do not want to buy my food from someone who's learned our skills from a cook book.
We ordered chicken splits, plantain and steak & cheese patties. The plantain was fresh and a good amount for £2. The split my partner loved and finished off quickly, I personally wasn't a 100% fan but only because there was too much gravy for me. I like a firm dumpling rather than it softened by the gravy and I would of liked a bigger portion of coleslaw but the large amount of meat made up for that. The patties are completely different to authentic Jamaican patties, but that isn't a downfall. They are packed with so much meat, something you don't usually see in a typical patty as they usually fill it with veg/filler with minimal actual pieces of meat so while they are not the usual, they are elite!
Overall I would return to try something different off their menu with less gravy. The crispy chicken tenders are next on my list to try
HALAL. ordered the shredded chicken and spicy rice with gravy and slow. Was amazing. I've been looking a for an authentic Caribbean place in Manchester and this is the one! Plantain was also really good. Highly recommend. I would recommend the owners advertising HALAL more prominent, would definitely attract more cliantel.
Although I didn't enjoy the food I ordered, my husband said his was amazing. Would definitely go again, bit would not order the salt fish with spinach again.
Food was good, chicken was a little dryer for my taste but the mutton was exceptional. Photos on Instagram look much better than what you are servers however...

Friendly atmosphere and fantastic food!! Picture is of a jerk chicken wrap with rice and coleslaw. Bargain at £5! Mellow jerk seasoning juicy chicken just like momma would make!

Food was exceptional! Saw it on insta and had to try it, but it was soooooo much better than I thought it was going to be!
Loved it! Really generous portions (I had enough for lunch the next day) and tasted very authentic - though my prefence I could have done with a bit more spice. Had a few veggie options on so I could choose what I wanted to eat and not be left with once choice! I tried both veggie curries that were on and they were delicious! My partner had the jerk chicken and said it was really good. The coleslaw also was really good and vegan! Would highly recommend!
