A restaurant we were very hopeful for, we had received many recommendations and heard very good things of Baity Palestinian Kitchen.
The decor is nice and relaxed, it feels welcoming, the front of house staff were good if a little indifferent. The food was very good on the whole, with 2 excellent dishes and 2 mediocre ones. Will happily eat here again if going with friends but if looking for the best of Middle Eastern food I would venture elsewhere.
Hidden gem!
We had the Lamb Maqluba, Musakhan Chicken, Batata Harra and Zatar Sweet Tato's - was hoping to try the kunafa but we were far too full.
The starters were the highlight for me and to be honest, very generous portions !
Great service and looking forward to returning again!
Tried their 8 hour slow roasted Jericho lamb it was sublime. The lamb was super soft and flavoursome. Also some of those other dishes, everything was great 😍
It’s a small place for seating but really cute. Well worth a trip to Didsbury!
Palestinian Food, vegan/vegetarian options, great service 😊
Best food place in the building... staff were lovely and the taste combinations are amazing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We came on a Sunday where they serve only the roast dinner. It was my first time trying roast dinner and I'm so happy I tried it there. Everything was amazing. The lamb, chicken and gravy are beautifully seasoned. The vegetables and potatoes were cooked to perfection. The cardamom tea and kunafa were really delicious. The decor is beautiful and people there are super friendly. I'd definitely go again, so looking forward to trying the other Palestinian dishes too.
Came again for dinner and tried the Musakhan, halloumi fries and mutable, and everything was perfect!!
My first time visiting but a great experience. The staff were brilliant, service was really good.
Food was incredible, can't wait to come back again and again and try the rest of the menu
Have been wanting to try Baity for a while. Got the opportunity today, and it did not disappoint.. Their Sunday roast menu is limited, but both Lamb and Chicken options were lovely.
Lovely soft, succulent, slow roasted lamb with perfectly roasted vegetables served with homemade Yorkshire pudding and flavoursome gravy. Chick options was also just as good.
Loved the fact they adid kids' potions of the same meal, which were great.
For dessert, we tried the Palestinian kunafa, which is one of the best I've had outside of the Middle East.
Was served by the owner who amazing to speak too.
Can't wait to go back during the week to try their full menu.
I am from the USA, and I've travelled across the world to try different cuisines. My latest trip has taken me to Baity Palestinian Kitchen, and I have not been this satisfied from eating a meal in so long. For the appetizers, the hummus was really good (on par with some of the better hummus I've had), but the real winner from the appetizers was the halloumi. There was no bitter taste (the halloumi is from Greece), and the texture of the chips combined with the sweetness of the pomegranate really elevated the flavor profile of the dish.
From the mixed grill, there was nothing mediocre about it. Shish Taouk was very tender and juicy. The Taouk Chicken Wings were very soft and rich in flavor. Both dishes really shined with the Chicken Fat Mayo! Jericho Lamb Chops were cooked at about medium well in temperature, and the secret to the exotic taste is that they are marinated in pomegranate juice for 24 hours. The pomegranate flavor is subtle but present and really elevates the dish. The lamb kofta was very soft and tender with the grill flavor, but the items mentioned previously are my favorites from the mixed grill.
My favorite dish is the Musakhan Chicken. This dish is an absolute must for anyone who wishes to come here. This is a roasted chicken with sumac on top of caramelized onions and bread. The chicken was so soft, juicy, and just overall delicious that it made me ask the owner for the recipe. The owner is an incredible young man with the best hospitality I've experienced as a traveler.
This was one of the most incredible dining experiences of my entire life, and I hope everyone in their lifetime has had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant.
Middle Eastern cuisine is just not shawarma and kebabs, there is a lot lot more to it and this restaurant is the perfect place to be introduced to other flavours.
Location - The place is right on the main streets of Didsbury. A little walk from tram station but it isn’t inaccessible.
Ambiance- Clean and minimal aesthetics. Not a fancy fine fine interiors but it is beautifully decorated and serves the purpose.
Food- They are serving a niche market by not serving kebab wraps and rolls but providing authentic Middle Eastern flavours. Every single dish we ordered was mind blowing. The spice levels were perfect and the food wasn’t greasy. I really loved every bite of my meal and to my surprise, there were plenty of vegetarian options as well.
Loved the place and surely will be visiting to try more dishes
Visited here yesterday for the first time and I wasn't disappointed!! We tried a couple of the veggie dishes and they were spot on. Probably the best falafel I've tried yet. And the hummus with caramelized onions was devine! Friendly staff and very clean. Can't wait to go back to try all the meat dishes too 😋
First time visiting Baity. Very nice interior decor and a calming ambience. Nice selection on menu. We tried the Zuhura Tea with Honey which was very nice.
For mains we had the Maqluba with lamb and Masakhan (award winning) - both were amazing. The lamb in the Maqluba was tender and rice flavourful. The bread in the Masakhan was amazingly soft, chicken was great with the onion jam. We had the Kenafa Cheesecake for dessert. Overall great experience and we'd come back to try the small plates next time. I'd recommend Baity to all, very nice restaurant in Didsbury.
Went for the Sunday dinner after finding them on Instagram. Restaurant is lovely and service was friendly.
On a Sunday the menu is limited to the roasts only, which we were aware of before coming. A couple of us had the lamb and another member of our party had the chicken, all really happy with the food, it was delicious and we’ll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu another time.
This place was recommended to me by my client as I was over from ireland on work.
First time ever having Palestinian food. The restaurant was clean and inviting. I was welcomed warmly by the waitresses and the lady took time to explain the dishes to me and recommend one.
The food was absolutely heavenly I have never tasted flavours like that which complimented each other so well. The humous was silky smooth with subtle hints of spice and garlic through it. The bread it was served with was warm which was an excellent touch to the dish.
I ordered the Chicken dish and it was succulent tender and the meat fell off the bone.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough or explain the flavours in a way that will do it justice you have to try it to understand
I hadn’t eaten Palestinian food before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was in for a big surprise. The food was delicious, the serving staff were helpful and friendly, and the ambience was perfect. A real unexpected treat. Pro tip: book a table in advance as it gets jam-packed.
I would give this place more stars if I could. An absolute gem of a place. Delicious food that melts in your mouth - I would definitely recommend all the dishes, but my favourite is Musakhan. This is the national dish of Palestine, and is authentically and loving prepared and served in Manchester. The cheesecake is light and flavoursome, and the service is second to none. Friendly, welcoming staff and a lovely, warm atmosphere make this the place to go. Well priced, good sized portions, and flavour that will have you visiting again and again.
Only tried the Sunday menu with the family here and it did not disappoint! Amazing service, clean and food was definitely something I would go back for! 🤍🤌🏽
This was our 2nd visit to this small but lovely Palestinian Restaurant. The food was as always delicious. My favourite dish is Musakhan. The Owner & Staff are friendly & welcoming. Highly recommend a visit but always busy try to pre book.
Food was 10/10 and the zaatar heavenly.
Got to speak to the owner and understand the history and bigger mission.
I want to see more places like this all over the UK. Grateful to have had the taste of Palestine!
Small intimate setting. Amazing food that tasted genuinely home-made and authentic. The chicken musakhan is what they’re known for and it was tender and flavourful. Be warned it has a LOT of onions and it was a bit too overpowering for me. Was hoping to try the kunafa as it looked really good but was too full…will have to come back!
