5 stars for a superb Reuben sandwich. Absolutely delicious. The meat was juicy and soft, and the sauerkraut, cheese etc.
To the owner: 1) If you serve on ceramic dishes, you need a rubber mat to stop them slipping around the table. 2) If the lunch deal is £10 why add £2 extra for the Reuben bagel? To explain what I mean; If I order this combination with a £2 drink for example, then there's no "offer" as the price is always £12 even outside lunchtime.
Probably the best food I've ever eaten. Delicious bagels, big burgers, loaded fries and the nicest sandwich you'll ever eat in their Reuben sandwich. Genuinely somewhere where you can pick anything off the menu and have a great meal. On top of that they serve amazing drinks and cocktails (would particularly recommend the peach ice tea made in store). Everyone is very friendly and the restaurant looks awesome. Nothing more I can say really just please go there.
Let me start by saying that the crab bagel is divine.
Yes, the crab meat possibly comes from a can, but the proportion are superb and the dressing is lip smackingly good. It’s very moreish, if like me you can’t get enough of that sweet light taste of the crustacean.
Now on to other matters, the salt beef.
It scores well on the looks and does a reasonable job on the palate.
Still with me so far?
The beef and bagel combo is not a patch on the ones doled out in Brick Lane, London but then they don’t have the bar and hip vibe. EatNewYork models itself on the Noo Yawk bagel which kinda sets itself up for a fall. The bagels in Manhattan have evolved to the pinnacle of bagelhood. Competing on price, chew and sheer oomph of boiled and then baked leavened bread. Matched up with beef untouched by an pretension of being organic grain fed, the result is something bent on world domination.
These are not those bagels.
I really wanted to give it 5 stars.
But the straws were plastic.
Really, plastic straws in the North Quarter? I shudder to think of the ire this will draw in Chorlton.
For now though, I will be back to sample some more.
Great for a work lunch. The bagels have a wonderful range of toppings and it's a good place to catch up over a beer. Highly recommend if you want something filling but not too expensive (their lunch deal is great value for money).
Absolutely stunning burgers here,
I chose the pastrami burger, my brother had the half pound Reuben,
We split half and half,
Both are really gorgeous.
Staff are very helpful,
Can't fault this place.
Amazing food! Had the grill melt with goofie fries. So delicious!
Recommend the peach ice tea half and half as well, very refreshing.
Best Reuben sandwich I've had outside of the US. Eat New York is definitely worth a visit. Friendly staff and cool atmosphere
Great food including amazing pastrami. Good service.
Amazing food crab bagel is so tasty and staff quick and friendly
This is a lovely bagel shop / restaurant. The food was lovely and reasonable priced. Service was excellent and they do really nice homemade non-alcoholic ginger beer. My friend bought her little sausage dog which wasn't a problem and they provided water for him. I would definitely go again.
