Amazingly good food and really friendly staff. It's always good to see service with a smile and staff that go that extra mile. It's hard to find a good roast dinner in the city centre but now I wont have that problem. Good value for money. Would highly recommend.

I luved the sandwich with hummus and artichoke! The atmosphere was relaxed - the staff looked relaxed, happy and healthy! Nice music, good to get in touch with other people.
Great place to eat lunch. The beetroot ginger and coconut soup is amazing, and all the sandwiches are great. Fresh ingredients. Good music. Friendly staff.
Would have given it 4 but there wasn't quite something right with the atmosphere. Spooky but great music downstairs, constantly being referred as 'big lad' didn't help either. I am reserving my 5 star rating for an occasion when I am served by either, Beyoncé or Keanu Reeves. Not by one of the already extremely attractive staff in their little red waistcoats and unreasonable amount of knowledge of ancient Egyptian pyramid history. Keep up the pink curry, but more Katie Pham & The Moonbathers, Avida Dollars and Mukbang on the playlists would really get it lit. *would like to add that fortunately my voice has been heard and Keanu actually works there now. Went to see Bad Breeding, great location, staff the absolute best, keep up the good work guys, keeping live venues open is essential and I will be doing my bit again

We popped in after a recommendation from a friend. This was an exceptionally delicious vegan Sunday roast, in a very relaxed and cool environment. The staff were friendly and we felt like we were chilling in San Francisco. We will be back.
As an absolute foodie, my main worry when visiting Manchester was how the food would be 'Up North'. I had heard horror stories. And to be honest, some of it (looking at you, Wetherspoon’s chips) was truly aweful.
But the rest was absolutely brilliant.
And the Soup Kitchen is definitely on the truly great side of things!
Serving up freshly prepared, delicious British café food (think soup, sanwiches, jacket potatoes…), it’s a neighbourhood gem and Mancurian favourite come lunchtime!
Very cool little cafe, sat for hours using the free wifi. Lovely cappuccino, sweet potato satay soup which was very tasty and an egg mayo & tomato sandwich. The filling was divine - there wasn't enough of it in the sandwich though. Soup & sandwich a very reasonable £6 however the drinks are pricey - £2 for a can of diet coke and £2.10 for the small cappuccino. Good vegetarian options and nice atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
We went there for a dinner. It has a very noce ambiance with huge victorian low lighting. Very nice ambiance warehouse style. I think it is runned by hipsters, cause when we went there too many hipsters were chilling around . The service is nice but to be honest food is not very amazing. We had soup and sandwich. It was ok, but not extraordinary. The soup and sandwish costs 5.50 pounds so it is good value for money. Thw waitress was so nice to us. So good value for money, nice place to eat, the place has a character.
One of the best places in Manchester for good tasty quality food and drink, I real unique Manchester gem, highly recommended . Go there for the contemporary canteen lunch , breakfast , the bar and coffee . Even been to watch bands and a few club nights there too, can't get enough of it!
Soup Kitchen has a friendly neighbourhood atmosphere and they have a huge selection of zines and self-published mags at the in-store shop run by Good Grief.
Classic Northern Quarter eatery. As it says on the tin, great soup. Great for vegans and veggies. But some for animal eaters too! Good selection of beers, very friendly staff. Canteen style seating, DJ booth and a decent sound system. Soup & a sandwich meal deal, and good prices on alcohol. What’s not too like 😉
Went in on Saturday afternoon and it was happy hour. 2 x pilsners and a g&t was around £10 - phenomenal value. The staff were really nice and chatty too. Plenty of room and a good vibe.
Really chilled and alternative vibe in here. Very nice selection of ales/craft/ everything else! Very tasty food. Reasonable for the city centre. Middle of the Northern quarter. Friendly staff!!

Lovely place, restaurant during the day, club in the night. The soups are delicious, as well as other stuff. Tere are some glutenfree as well as vegan options. Sandwiches are huge.
Came here for a bite to eat and a drink. Very busy filled with students. Sat in the window and enjoyed a couple gins and some flatbreads and sides. Very tasty. Guy behind the bar was helpful and polite.
Great ambience, amazing DJs and one of the best sound systems in all of Manchester. Highly recommend! No wonder it's one of the best rated clubs in all of city centre.
A hub for the arts, up-and-coming musical talent and host of great performance art. Soup has been supportive in so many ways over the past 7 years I've lived in Manchester. Keep on supporting this great place and the people who work so hard to make it this special.
Cool bar nice ambiance and decor, prices standard for city centre so expectedly a bit expensive. Sometimes they host club nights which are good and i recommend going to

Awesome food, huge portions and a super relaxed cafeteria vibe. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well as meat dishes. Good coffee and a bar with wine, spirits and craft beer.
