Sunday meal
We went to home for an early evening meal. Everything was average, nothing outstandingly good. There was 5 adults in the eating so it was a good cross menu selection. As I said before everything was average nothing special.
Always a pleasure eating here, chicken and chips is 👏🏼 but I adore getting their pizzas. Great vibe with lovely staff and they have a great lunch deal. Salad and Buddha bowls aren’t too shabby either!!
Visited the Art exhibition which was great lots of different pieces of Art by all kinds of Artists. The exhibition is free entry but you can donate when leaving.Well worth a visit.
I can't praise HOME Mcr enough for what they do for me and my company.
I host Actors and Filmmakers Networking Events and have held 26 events (at time of writing this review) in the Events Room.
The staff are seriously INCREDIBLE. From events manager Steph Livesey, to the amazing bar staff who work so hard.
If you are aiming to hold an event, make sure you get in touch with HOME Mcr and let them help you make your event a success.
My favourite place in Manchester, beautiful building and lovely specious interior. Cinema, gallery, theatre venue, restaurant and coffee bar.
A cultural gem that never fails to impress. Nestled in the heart of the city, HOME stands as a beacon of artistic excellence, offering a diverse array of performances, films, exhibitions, and events that cater to every taste and interest.
My visits always left me in awe of its vibrant atmosphere and commitment to showcasing innovative and thought-provoking work. From groundbreaking theatrical productions to cutting-edge independent films and captivating art exhibitions, there's always something exciting happening here.
The theater's state-of-the-art facilities provide a comfortable and immersive experience for audiences, while its welcoming staff go above and beyond to ensure that every visitor feels valued and appreciated.
One of the highlights of my visits was the opportunities to catch live performances in their intimate theater spaces. They also boasts a world-class cinema program, featuring a curated selection of films from around the globe. Whether you're a fan of indie flicks, foreign cinema, or Hollywood blockbusters, there's something for everyone to enjoy on the big screen.
The theater's commitment to diversity and inclusivity is also evident in its programming, with a strong emphasis on amplifying underrepresented voices and perspectives. It's refreshing to see a cultural institution that actively seeks to engage with a wide range of communities and explore pressing social issues through the arts.
Overall, my experience at HOME is nothing short of extraordinary. It's a dynamic and inspiring space that celebrates the power of storytelling and fosters meaningful connections between artists and audiences. Whether you're a seasoned theatergoer or a curious newcomer, a visit here is sure to leave a lasting impression.
Fantastic performing arts space, laid back and casual. 2 theatres and cinema. Very nice restaurant and bars, friendly staff.
We went to visit the Home Art Exhibition of 400+ local artists. It was well organised, with plenty of staff helping out and providing interesting information about the artists and others. I found most of the art work unconventional, made from many different mediums including; cardboard, string, plastic, metal, various fabrics etc. As well as the usual paint. Worth a visit if you're in the vicinity but not worth a special trip. I suppose I was disappointed that there was so much nonconvential works, some of which looked like they had been knocked together in a few minutes from whatever was lying around.
Really nice, clean and spacious theatre.
Bitnsurprised at the soft drinks though, nearly £5 a pint... Or maybe I'm still living in the early 2000s
Parking is very easy, if you park at the QPark, the exit literally takes you 10m from the entrance
We're going on an adventure
+5
First time visiting HOME this weekend. Really lovely venue, buzzing atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon. Great performance. Theatre seats aren't overly comfortable for a two hour performance (they are fold out benches) but we coped and would definitely return.
Updating after our second visit - this time we were in Theatre 1 with much more comfortable seating and a more traditional stage space.
Parked at nearby Q Park. Very convenient and fairly priced.
First visit
Loved the space and production about Nina Simone. Outdoors places to meet for food and drink. Parking, good transport links.
Easy to get to and from city centre.
Super theatre, very modern, easy access with nice cafe and bar. ... The production was top class. Great value. Wonderful experience.
