My new favourite NQ spot. Unassuming from the outside... but inside, oh boy. Great little beer selection, wood-fired pizzas and a really nice place to spend a couple of hours in general. There's not a huge food menu past pizza/antipasti, but they get this smaller selection just right.
Service was great, very friendly and attentive! The restaurant was almost empty when we went, service was very quick. I had a mushroom pizza with fennel sausage and it was ace, best pizza I've had outside of Italy! Can't wait to go back
Pizza's were delicious loved the disco ball oven !! Starters were fresh and really tasty the best ball of mozzarella I've ever had !! Great chilled atmosphere felt relaxed with our 20 month old baby too !! Definitely would recommend to give it a whirl

Great food!!
Visited Ply for the first time with a group of friends. Food was excellent and staff were knowledgeable about the menu. Was looked after by Gabriel who very pleasant and gave top notch service!
The staff was very nice, the food was good but the music, the music was so f***ing loud that I couldn't even hear my partner that was right in front of me.
The pizzas were pretty good when I first went to Ply several months ago but they were excellent when I returned to shoot for them last week. They've clearly been working on perfecting them, especially the bases, which is why they made it to my 5 Favourite Pizzas in Manchester. They're dog friendly too. Pizzas, dogs and craft beer, that's the makings of my perfect night out right there.
Today’s post is a mini review of PLY in the Northern Quarter. I say ‘mini’ as I went with a rather distracting couple of ladies and we spent the evening gassing away rather than snapping away as I usually do!. PLY is a huge venue on the corner of Stephenson Square with Lever Street, from the guys who brought Kosmonaut to the Northern Quarter. It’s a quirky venue, part eatery, part creative space. There is a book exchange, doodle wall and monthly exhibitions. The space is huge; a typical, old industrial space kitted out with booths and sofas. The size makes it perfect for large groups as they wouldn’t dominate the space. Anyone else already thinking about Christmas parties?!
We were out on a works do and just popped in as we were walking past. Decided to eat while we were there pizzas all round and she'd load of beers .

Clean and open venue, had a nice Pastrami lunch. Service was quick and attentive, sat with a nice view of the square. Good venue in NQ if you or some of the group aren’t down with the typical grungy NQ bar. Only down side was when I returned in the evening the service was slow with bar staff serving their mates ahead of others which eventually caused some aggravation.

Played shuffle board, enjoyed the atmosphere and took advantage of the pizza deal!

Came across Ply whilst browsing the outdoor craft market (well worth a visit)
Went in with my son for coffee and ended up returning for lunch. Delicious coffee and a really mouthwatering menu. The beef pappardelle was amazing and full of flavour and I'm not really a pasta fan! One of the best tasting things I've eaten.The nduja linguine was equally as filling and flavoursome. Cheese topped garlic bread was stunning also.
Our excellent waiter (didn't catch his name) was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly . Sadly he said it was his last shift and was leaving but was very knowledgeable about all the dishes. The waitress was equally helpful and friendly.
Prices were very reasonable and a great background soundtrack too!. Couldn't fault anything.
Really looking forward to another visit

We had a work do for 20 people at Ply and it was such a fab experience. Delicious pizzas and fries, great variety of beers, super friendly and dedicated staff. I’m pleasantly surprised and wouldn’t doubt recommending it. We’ll definitely repeat!
The best pizza place in Manchester. Pizzas are sooo good. Gluten free dough is available, as well as vegan options. Staff is very nice, and the inside os very nicely designed. It turns into a club in the evenings.
Been here a hell of a lot when back in Manchester and it’s one of my favourites… the dough is just so fresh, menu has loads of variety! The whole place - decor, staff, customers is just really cool and they do a fair bit of craft ale!! What’s not to love… get this on your list if you are in Manchester…

What a fab find this place is! Had an amazing lunch with friends, our waiter Kyle couldn't have been more helpful, especially with the cocktail/drink recommendations. Will definitely be back, the food, drinks and ambience were all wonderful.

Decent selection of pizzas and beers in the centre of the Northern quarter. A good alternative to Rudy’s or Franco Manca. Hard to spot the ‘Ply’ sign coming in though, so be sure to ask you’ve got the right venue
Pizza was great. Service not so much. Only 1 people serving a big restaurant on Valentine's day.. the other dude had an iPad and made an effort to not make eye contact with customers when we needed serving..
Do like it in Ply, great range of beers even though they've taken my favourite off, Dortmunder! Always try to visit when I'm in the NQ.
Been here twice. The first time was at night when it was really busy and the second time it was during the day when it was quiet. Both times the food has been excellent. The pizzas are a good size and are really tasty. I love the doughy crusts the most. Service is pretty good but I didn't like the fact that table service is only on nights. During the day you have to queue up at the bar which can take some time when you just want food. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Would definitely keep coming here.
