I took my husband for date night and I was very hopeful about Brasserie Abode as I pass it on my way home from work and the decor looks very stylish and beautiful. The black and white tiles and brass fittings evoke a jazz age ambience that is supported by the music choices. The restaurant is downstairs and the lighting and seating arrangement feels very intimate and cosy. The menu is slightly small but perfectly formed, the only thing I would question is the pricing of the starters at such a similar price point to some of the cheaper mains. We decided to go for some nibbles before the main course, and then dessert. The food was beautifully presented on proper china (no silly boards or slates here!) and condiments and sauces served in porcelain casts of seashells. We opted for the lobster spaghetti and a classic fish and chips, both were delicious - light and crispy batter on the fish was perfect. Both went well with a Picpoul de Pinet from the extensive wine list, a really excellent selection. There is a good range of classic desserts, and sticky toffee pudding sent us home well sated. A lovely meal for two for less than £90. We would definitely recommend and will be going to this restaurant again!

We had a lovely evening celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. We both enjoyed a g&t in the bar followed by an excellent meal and bottle wine. First class food and excellent service from friendly staff.

The customer service here is second to none, we had a slight problem with our meal and they could not do enough to put it right. The food is delicious and great value, and we will be returning very soon.

Ok, sufficiently tipsy after 3 hours of non stop cocktails at Abode Manchester. Huge thanks to David our cocktail magician for a delicious and informative evening. He not only created our drinks but gave us a history lesson in how each cocktail was invented and evolved over time. Thoroughly entertaining few hours.

Recently visited the Brasserie Abode for the first time for one of their Seafood Platters with a bottle of Prosecco. It was a Saturday at 19:50 and we were greeted pleasantly by one of the staff and were asked whether we wanted to dine downstairs in the Foyer or upstairs .... we plumped for downstairs and were given a choice of tables, choosing one with a view of the entrance and the Brasserie. It was quiet with only three tables occupied. The decor was simple but with clean lines with wooden tables & linen napkins and there was a DJ playing decent relaxing music which was not obtrusive. We were provided with menus and decided on a seafood platter for two with a bottle of Prosecco. The prosecco was of good quality and was delivered before the platter at our request.

The platter arrived, was served on ice and was very good (see photo) .... it was fresh, cool and tasty. In fact, better than we expected !

In all we thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the service and quality of the food served and would highly recommend giving it a try !

An elegant place with polite, helpful and lovely staff in the heart of the city centre. A great place to go as a couple.

Visited with work colleagues. Restaurant was empty but server still appeared stressed at possibility of having 4 guests telling us that he had a table of 10 arriving so seats were limited!! Helpful regarding drinks. I had the burger which was tasty although I do like my meat more cooked. My colleagues had the pork which looked good but small portion. Intended to order dessert but server avoided us so we gave up. As we were staying over I had breakfast. Complete contrast in service. Excellent delivery. Cooked breakfast was OK but I was not keen on the sausage. Scrambled egg was delicious.

Not busy , food was great but for some reason drinks took an age to arrive. I then ordered a latte which never arrived. The Waiter did notice it had not been made but still no luck. When I asked for the bill the waiter explained he had deducted the price for a beer and cup of tea which seemed fair. I would go again but if I was desperate for a drink would order at the bar. 🙂

We needed a little feast to celebrate surviving January, and having received a £20 voucher in the mailbox, we decided to give this place a chance. We went for their 3 course prix fixe menu and it was well worth the money - lots of food and everything tasted exceptional, from the soup to the duck and the very delicate desserts (my mouth is watering just thinking about them now).

Went in for breakfast as were staying in the abode hotel. Food was excellent, we were served by an exceptional woman, she usually works in housekeeping but was covering for the breakfast shift - was fantastic, incredibly personable, very helpful, she was a total joy to be served by. Looking forward to returning!

Relaxed dining. Group of 4 on a Monday. Service was friendly and efficient until we wanted the bill, but overall fine. Large wine list and acceptable beer selection. Food was mainly pub classics done modern. Burger was very tasty and beef of good quality. Worth the higher price than many other places. Other meals were also described as tasty and enjoyable. Overall enjoyable and left a positive impression of the hotel.
