Great service
Thursday evening was my fist time back to this restaurant since February 2018 and a lot has changed since then. I used to dine here every other month and I was never disappointed... and fortunately, I can say the same again about my visit this week. The fillet steak was perfectly cooked, and the garnishing was fresh and delicious. One of my starters was amazing because of the blue cheese dip that it came with. And my sticky toffee pudding was just perfect. And to top it all, was the excellent service from Marta, who made sure that my visit was the best it could be! Marta made some excellent dish suggestions, and knew when to check if I needed something, without being overzealous, like in some restaurants, and knew exactly when to bring the next course. Overall a great dining experience complimented by Marta's service expertise!!! I will be making a point to visit more regularly now, whether I stay at their hotel or not.
Dined with a friend for dinner. Service started off well but deteriorated towards the end when we had to wait 15 minutes for our main plates to be cleared.
The food was very good. The scallop’s starters were delicious. We both had different cuts of steak for our main course, which were cooked perfectly as requested. The chips failed to impress my guest and I, we have both had far better elsewhere.
The majority of the restaurant is clean, however as it the same area that is used for breakfast, extra attention is required to clear the food down the sides of the leather seating areas.
Loved everything about this place- the food, the staff, the ambience. It’s a perfect date night spot. I absolutely loved the spicy calamari and the tomato soup. The main course steak was cooked to perfection with the chips being hot and crispy to the very last bite. For dessert we had a molten brownie with ice cream which was absolutely gorgeous!! Definitely visiting again.
