Great local restaurant - delicious mezze
Highly recommend Pomegranate. Delicious mezzo - particularly the olives, prawns and the houmus. Good location on Burton Road but still seems quite intimate. Friendly and attentive service despite being busy on a Friday. Looking forward to going back!
Great meal of assorted mezzes here. Friendly service in colourful surroundings. All dishes tasted different and really delicious, particularly loved the asparagus and mushrooms.
Pomegranate. This restaurant is a great place to eat at for all family, i loved it. The food was great. It was lovely to taste persian meals. Staff are so attentive and really helpful talking you through the menu. I enjoyed the decor. Beautiful lamps all around the room and I hope to go back soon with friends and family.
Absolutely superb. Wonderful decor and ambience, extremely attentive staff and first class Persian food. Loved it. Easily the best of the 4 Persian restaurants in South Manchester. Oddly enough there was no sign of doogh on the menu but they rustled a jug up pretty quickly. Go and enjoy. This place deserves to thrive and do well. A class act.
Nice and cosy restaurant with a good atmosphere, yet service for both drinks and food was quite slow. The food was very tasty though and good value for money
First time trying this place this evening & it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious. The restaurant homely with some stunning pieces to entertain the eye. The service was just as I like, friendly and relaxed, not feeling rushed.
I'll be coming back, I'm sure.
Pomegranate Restaurant Didsbury
A very wet evening 2 nd January my daughter suggested Pomegranate to celebrate her birthday a girls meal out .
It was quiet to be expected on a wet early January evening but we were not disappointed !
We went for the January offer 3 courses for £29 …the Baklava had to go home with us far too satisfied with first & second courses !
Not eaten Persian food before we had no idea we went for Hummus dip & a crisp naan , salad of Asparagus , Walnut & Feta with a divine dressing chose two main dishes
Fessenjoon, Chicken in a tangy walnut & pomegranate sauce
Badernjooni lamb with aubergine & chilli
Both served with half salad & rice
A bottle of house Red
We can’t fault service & presentation although quiet we had a lovely evening we will definitely go back on my next trip from Yorkshire !
A great new find for us, so good we returned the next week
I really think I could eat at Pomegranate every single day! The food is divine, especially the lamb. I wanted to gatekeep this place but I implore everyone to go! You won’t be disappointed! Just be aware of your chosen payment method as they don’t take American Express!
Excellent Persian food. Good service
Excellent food and service. The restaurant has a good, relaxed atmosphere and a good ambience. The quality of food is matched by the quality of service. I will definitely be visiting again.
Conveniently located at one of the main roads in Didsbury, with easy access from bus routes and walking distance from near available parking; Food and Services as expected and more! Highly recommended a beautiful Persian experience!
Highly recommend this authentic Persian restaurant, hidden away in West Didsbury. I really appreciated the plastic screens between tables (visited mid Jan 2021). The pomegranate mixed kebab was beautifully marinated, and the morghe alouie was a new dish to me but delicious. Kookoo was really great too.
We ordered a takeaway and we were delighted at the quality and taste of the entire meal. The food was packaged well and wrapped up in foil so that it stayed warm. We would highly recommend the Mirza starter, the Prawn Kebab and the lamb shank! We thought the prawn kebab would be dry, but it arrived in a tasty mango sauce, and the meat on the lamb shank was cooked to perfection - soft and tender. We will definitely be ordering another takeaway soon!
At last an Iranian restaurant that makes stews as good as a Persian mum! As Persian immigrants, my husband and I feel blessed to have this amazing restaurant in our city, especially on those busy days we’re homesick with no time to cook our old favourites. Truly authentic (except that they don’t serve chips with Gheimeh, please do!). An amazing spot, they’ve even got pomegranate wine, which tastes heavenly with their Fesenjoon stew. If you like kebab though, your choices are limited, they only have two kinds, no Koobideh. Nevertheless, highly recommend this place. Make sure to book a table, especially on weekends when it’s usually packed.
Here again for our anniversary tradition of our first date, the service and food never disappoints, highly recommend a visit!
Me and my family love coming here, the food is beautiful, the owners and staff are wonderful and there is such a warm welcoming atmosphere! Can't recommend highly enough.
Have been coming here for more than a year with my parents. We love the atmosphere, the hospitality and the amazing food!! Will come back again ❤️
Arrived there late and still seated us and let us have food despite the restaurant closing in 30 minutes time.
Aubergine dish out of this world and the lamb shank was unbelievably good.
Nice location and very friendly staff!
Totally recommend.
Gorgeous food, great and very friendly service, will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend
Delicious food and plenty of it. Nice small cosy restaurant.
Food was very good but quite to my taste. Dish was very sweet.
