Came here based on  reviews. Warm welcome and offered drinks. We ordered a whole selection of curries.

Took a while to arrive and they missed one order out but that was quickly rectified.

All the curries tasted good. We were given extra rice for free. That was nice

Service was excellent. Would definitely come back

We have been working around Manchester and needed a good Indian food treat.

After ‘googling’, we looked on Online and saw the good reviews for this place and since we are staying in the a premier Inn over the road, we thought we would give it a try.

What a treat!

To the great welcome, the art work on the walls to the amazing food, we feel we have been treated.

The food was gorgeous.....the poppadoms and dips, the starters and the mani meal itself were all scrumptious!

At the end of our meals, after we asked for the bill, we were given a free Baileys and then!!!!, then!!!!! We were given the old fashioned, steaming flannels! Wow! We thought they were long gone!

Many thanks Mr Ali’s, if we can, we will be back.....

The best curries I've ever had. I've been coming here for at least 15 years and the food is always top quality. The coriander chutney that you get with the popadoms is insanely good. The decor is what it is. I like the old school charm of it. A real traditional curry house that still prides itself on the quality of the food.

Very delicious, atmosphere is very friendly and cosy. The food is phenomenal! We had the lamb chops and a curry with coconut which were delicious. They also have local Indian beer which really complemented the food.

Love this place. It's very small and it's a proper, traditional local curry house/tandoori restaurant. Yes, the decor is old-school but who cares? The food is excellent and very reasonably priced and the staff are lovely. There's a good range of the usual curries that people will recognise, but they also serve lots of specials that you don't necessarily see on a lot of other menus, which I can definitely recommend. My favourites are the gosht ka salaan and the 'Taste of Goa' which is a fantastic spicy king prawn curry. We go here every couple of months at least and we feel really luck to have it so close by!

I have been a couple of times now and the food I ordered was OK. Although my partner ordered a beef ghosht dish when we last went here which I tried and it was amazing, just wish I chose that instead of the madras. Staff aren't very attentive, although it was pretty busy when we went. I will be going again though as I want that beef dish!

Every dish tasty from start to finish. Kept nice and hot with the warmers and a very cosy, quiet restaurant with wonderful waiters. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others! Update: have been back a couple of times and food is still delicious. Waiters are still wonderful, they don’t rush you or bother you even if you’re the last people there. Homemade gulab jamun is spot on.

A real hidden gem in Blackley! The food here is just amazing, I've been to many many curry houses but this hands down is one of the best I have ever been to! The food is fresh hot and so damn tasty and the service is also excellent. Prices are so reasonable too. Cannot recommend this lovely little restaurant enough!

Wow me and mrs cudnt be happier with this place, just gutted we havnt come sooner. Highly recommended ribs and cabbage house special and it is special trust!. Reasonably priced too. Waiters are polite and funny and even go the extra mile and serve your rice on the plate. Also complementary Bailey's at the end which not all indians do these days. 5* all-round.

Went for the fist time last night. The meal was absolutely superb. One of the best currys I've had. Prices reasonable. Decor needs a look at though...dried flowers needs throwing etc. But will definitely be back. Keep up the good work.

Very authentic old skool Indian restaurant. Loads of period features and the food was lovely, only reason not 5 * is there are, dare I say, better tasting restaurants around. Having said that it was lovely, and folk seem to have an allegiance to the place so I'll give it another go!
