Was there watching football and had food was beautiful and it's lovely modern family pub with lots going on.
Excellent food, brilliant atmosphere and friendly staff. Give it a try, you'll be very pleased.

Only visited with friends to watch sport and have a drink. It's a nice pub, friendly service and a good selection of drinks. Great pint of Guinness. Had a chat with the landlord about our forthcoming trip to Dublin and he was very helpful and enthusiastic.
There is a small car park and on road parking, there also is outside seating. I have seen the rooms but I understand that they are nice too
Had a nice burger with fries. Was tasty.
Staff were friendly and chatty.
Beer was nice. Beer garden also nice.
Menu was a bit expensive and fancy pants for my taste though. Parmesan and truffle oil on fries for £7? Each to their own I suppose.
Two out of the three of us preferred the basic fries. The one who liked it is a well respected chef though, so what do we know? :D
Went to meet some friends for a Sunday Roast and a pint.
Roast was pretty good and everything else was enjoyable.
There's a nice walk very nearby to the pub if you're feeling adventurous after eating!
Love LOVED our stay here. Incredible staff, rooms are so clean and comfortable. I would 100% recommend. Very family friendly and great location, close to the tram that takes you into central Manchester. Also, the self service food available is such a great idea, makes breakfast hassle free!
Spent an evening here last night. Fabulous stay room warm big and welcoming. Staff amazing especially Irish Pete who looked after us all night. Irish band amazing. Can't wait till next time. 100% recommend thanks to everyone at bowling green

WOWSERS! WOWSERS! I can't say enough about the Bowling Green in Chorlton. I stayed there over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend on a trip over from Ireland.
Our room was fabulous, overlooking the pretty village, yet so quiet in the room. It was spotlessly clean and I loved the neutral , fresh tones and comfy bed; great for a good night's sleep! There was a fridge in the room and a packed basket of snacks, muffins and more. Fresh milk, cereals and yoghurts were available in the hallway.
The staff were lovely, very pleasant and nothing was a chore for them . We were over for a family getogether and Mark , the proprietor even managed to put extra beds in the rooms at short notice. Nothing was too much for him.
We ate in the pub , the first night. The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it and it was service with a smile! There was a lovely, family friendly atmosphere in the pub as families and children hung out together.
There is a fab outside area for drinks and a lovely playground for the kiddies.
We had a family birthday on Easter Sunday in the pub and hired the function room which is adjacent to the main bar and brilliant for a private party. The staff and the food were second to none. Everyone had an amazing time and we were well looked after...memories made for life.
I loved the location. Chorlton Green is a lovely safe area with lots of lovely bars and cafés around and a nice open green area. It feels so safe.
There's a tram stop nearby which brings you into Manchester. So this location has everything going for it, in my book.

The location was perfect and the food lovely.The Staff were very polite and helpful. Would highly recommend.
It's a lovely location and prior to them packing a gross amount of benches into the back it was a decent beer garden. Could do with better beer selection and the weird ordering/queuing system harks of COVID. But the staff are very friendly and it has lots of outdoor seating
The food was perfect. Homemade cheese pie. Comfortable atmosphere. Play area for children who are welcome until 8.45pm. Service great.
A great place to stay! The room was really nice - clean and well appointed. My only challenge was a slightly too soft bed (my preference, though). The staff were super friendly and accommodating of requests for room cleaning and help. The pub downstairs is also great - food and beer are wonderful and the service is friendly. Thanks for an excellent stay!
Food is always surprisingly good for standard pub fare. Also definitely one of the best pints of Guinness in chorlton.
Great place to stay. Lots of traditional shops locally. Friendly staff and customers. Will book again when next in Manchester.
Went here for lunch last Sunday. Had a Sunday roast and a Burger with my partner. We really enjoyed our food and the service was quick and polite. The classic pub interior looks great. Will definitely be back for more homemade food :)
Self service continental breakfast available when staying at The Bowling Green. Good for those with on the go schedule. Accommodation is comfortable with everything you may need provided for including umbrellas by the door for borrowing in bad weather. Tasty and plentiful meals available for lunch and in the evening. Thank you for including apple pie on the dessert menu ! - my favourite which regretfully isn't seen often enough on restaurant menus these days
Great meals and service at this very friendly pub .Great place . Everyone has a smile .coming back soon.
Just back from a three night stay at this fab place to see the cricket. Such a fantastic location, easy to get to the cricket ground and the tram stop for the city centre. Very comfortable room (if a little warm!) and a small selection of cereal/fruit/juices etc for a self serve breakfast. Thank you for a lovely stress free break, cricket was fab too!!!!
