Pho as the name suggests it's got authentic pho(given the ingredients in the area) serves up mainly pho and a few sides and narrow selection of rice bowls. Craving good pho you must go to pho. Ordered the spicy green, prawn rice paper roll and chicken pho. Loved everything.
Yummy
This is a lovely little restaurant, we went early on a Friday night, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. Our waitress was very helpful and helped to choose a lovely beef pho dish which was both delicious and huge!
Amazing
Well I have to say the staff and food in this place where amazing. Staff go the extra mile and food was great. Cant fault anything. If your in Manchester you will not be disappointed if u visit this gaff.
Managed to get in at second try. Well worth it. Both of us had a "Pho" which is not surprising, mine was the chef's special so to speak and my wife's was a prawn based one while mine was more traditionally beef based. They were both great. The service was friendly and not in your face but helpful. Altogether a good dining experience, I wish we lived closer.
Iāve only ever walked through the Corn Exchange once. Many many years ago. It completely bored me. I remember it being sparse, unimaginative with not much in there apart from the occasional art exhibition (the exhibitsĀ were always pretty good though). From the moment we heard PhoĀ Manchester was opening, this restaurant sparked controversy in our house. Mo and I battled it out on how to pronounce this restaurantās name, our Fantastic Four whatsapp group even changed to āFohā or āFuhā whilst we both constantly pleaded cases to prove each other wrong. A quick tweet led to Pho showing this:
The Corn Exchange in Manchester is having a facelift. The building spent the last few years home to some retail spots which failed to pull in the crowds. Now itās been gutted, and the space looks to be somewhat dedicated to the collection of eateries popping up over the last couple of months with many more to come.
The question is, how do you pronounce Pho? Logic would suggest 'Foe' like Phone but no, apparently it's 'Fuh' like this. But are we Mancunions going to pronounce it the correct way or Anglicise it? Imagine telling your colleagues at work that you're dining at what sounds like 'Fer' tonight? Of course we should try to get these things right to try and be culturally sensitive but there's no blanket rule. After all we don't pronounce Paris 'paree' like Parisians or Madrid like the Spanish do. Try ordering Spaghetti like an Italian and you will sound pretentious and affected.
Visited Monday. Kris was a brilliant waiter. If you have allergies then this is a brilliant option. Gluten, dairy, soy free options. Tuesday was a little less great service but not bad. I recommend the wings š¤¤š¤¤š¤¤
We were undecided as to where to come for lunch this afternoon, but we are so glad we chose Pho! As soon as we arrived we were greeted warmly by Sean, the manager, and both himself and Julie delivered exceptional service throughout our stay. The food was delicious too, and considering this was our first time here, we will be sure to come back again soon! If you are looking for affordable "comfort food" and accommodating staff, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Fresh, flavourful food and a relaxed atmosphere for a weekday lunchtime. I had the wok-fried noodles with chicken and prawns. It was actually my first time trying Vietnamese food, and I was very impressed. Nice touch on the menu to explain how to pronounce "pho" as well! š

I very much enjoyed my food at Pho. Best chicken curry I've had anywhere. My wife had the beef brisket noodle soup š and said it was delicious. Maybe more kids options would be good.
Restaurant interior design very nice, space clean and huge, atmosphere cozy, staff are helpful and friendly, food was ok.
These Girls Run / Pho event. Came here with the TGR girlie's after our 10k run, what a gorgeous afternoon. The food was delicious, I really enjoyed my Veggie Curry šš¼ and the Cripsy Spring rolls were lush also the 'Apple, mint & lime' juice was lovely too.
Thanks to our waitress Chelsea šš¼ Would highly recommend Pho ā¤ļø
I know itās a chain- but thereās a reason for it. Consistently good food. The pho spicy beef brisket is my favourite. Itās so flavoursome and packed full of ingredients. I like that they separate the bean sprouts, coriander and mint.
While my recent visit faced a bustling crowd, the waitress seemed a tad distant, and the service felt a bit sluggish. This, however, was a rare exception, and I overlooked the 12.5% discretionary service charge.
Always love the corn exchange. Ambiance is always good.
Good place to taste popular vietnamise dish Pho š š tasted really good in fair price. Spend nice evening there staff woeking there ok no problem with order. Enjoyed sure come back there. I like a area very much aswell. Recomended
Sean is lovely!! He was very helpful made our experience amazing I will deffo be returning here. Thanks Sean š
Emily was attentive, brought our food out quickly and ensured our experience was enjoyable with excellent service. The food was also delicious, so I will definitely be recommending this place to friends.
The vermicelli noodles with thin steak in a tomato and crab broth were very delicious! I love coming here coz I know their food doesn't disappoint!
The service here is not great, if I'm being honest.
You couldn't get hold of a server for ordering food or drink, or food issues (I have an allergen and needed to check before I ordered).
They also wasn't particularly friendly, felt like I was inconveniencing them ordering.
Please note they add an optional service charge automatically on the bill, which is why I focused a fair bit on service in this review because I feel it wasn't worth it and did ask for it to be removed (it worked out around 20%)
The food though was good, although the egg disintegrated and they forgot to add requested toppings (trying to get them to take it off the bill was a bit of an ordeal)
Would eat here again but it's not something I'd go out of my way for.
The Pho in the Corn Exchange MCR is always a good place to go if you want a quick bite to eat. The service is very good and the prices are reasonable.
The atmosphere is great, nicely decorated and lovely to sit down and look around. The food was great, I had the beef noodles and my sister had Pho. We both loved the meals and canāt wait to return. The staff were kind although wait times were a bit longer than anticipated.
Really enjoyed my chicken curry noodle soup, lots of flavour. Didnāt like the crackers, they didnāt taste of anything. The spring rolls were peanut sauce with good. My friend got a hot and spicy noodle soup and asked for it to be less hot, it was very spicy and she couldnāt eat it. They swapped it for a less spicy one. Service was slow and there was confusion over the bill. They had charged my friend for 2 hot and spicy noodle soup dishes! Eventually we managed to sort it but itās put us off a little bit.
I had the classic mushroom and tofu noodle soup in a veggie broth, which tasted very fresh. The kale, apple, pineapple and lime juice was yummy. I liked the squid that we had for our starter, but I probably wouldnāt order it again
I visited Pho with my friend for iftar this Ramadan and had the most pleasant experience because of the lovely Chelsea! She helped me pick out a delicious side, found me a quiet space to pray and made us laugh all the while. The food was incredible too! Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
