Tasty Green Curry!

Delicious food and really kind staff. It’s BYOB and they kept our drinks chilled in the fridge. Free corkage and glasses. Had to pay 50p for a takeaway box. Really enjoyed the food though.

This restaurant looks somewhat sketchy from the outside, and inside it is a bit garishly decorated, but the service is flawless, and the food to die for.

Went 3 times during a 5 day stay in Manchester, and loved every visit. The food selection is very good, even for my companion who is gluten and dairy intolerant. Everything was tasty, fresh and delicious. And it tasted real ! Like proper Thai. A new visit to Manchester will definitely mean visits to this restaurant.

This restaurant offers a beautiful cheap dining experience me and my partner had the Ribs as a starter and Pad Thai as main which were delicious! You can bring you own alcohol which made the night out even cheap. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend!

...we've had our tongues most tantalised by the Tom Yam soups, both tilapia dishes off the seafood menu (I'm drooling thinking about them) and a red curry so packed with flavour and spice you find yourself exclaiming "Hoochie Mama!" in the middle of a crowded restaurant. The coconut rice is also coconutty enough to blow your entire head clean off.

This place isn't going to win any awards for fine dining or innovative cuisine, but I've never had a bad meal here, and it's a great place to visit, whether you're a couple or group of mates. I'd advised booking, particularly on the weekend - and they even have a fancy website you can do it on!

Hidden away among the many chinese restaurants of chinatown, this thai restaurant is much nicer that its entrance would suggest. Climbing a fly of stairs you access an elegant wood-panneled dining room, decorated with flowers and thai furniture.

The menu is quite vast and can feel a bit disorienting, but none of the dishes me and my friends tried disappointed us. We tried green chicken curry, pad thai, moo yang (sweet marinated strips of pork) and tamarind duck, all accompained with coconut and sticky rice. Although I have had better curries and pad thais in elsewhere before, Phetpailin's are quite good, with curry well balancing its spicyness with the coconut's sweetmess. Moo yang was especially good, the meat having deeply absorbed the sweet marinade flavours.

With a main with a side of rice priced at around £11, Phetapailin makes a great and competitive alternative to the chinese restaurants in the area.

Panicked and ordered Pad Kee Mao (vegetarian) because everything I’ve had here has been incredible! Did not disappoint. The sauce was delicious and filled with chop chilis—it is hot, but worth the pain. Obviously washed it down with a thai milk tea— a must have ! Always attentive and compassionate service. I’ll be back.

Fabulous meal last night, we were party of 9 and decided to pre-order a couple of days in advance which was very useful. Been many times and food continues its high standard authentic Thai food. Service was spot on despite the restaurant being full. Can't fault it at all. As always our eyes were bigger than our stomachs but we managed to finish it all in the end. Remeber this is a BYO which makes its great value, of you forget there is Sainsburys Local 1min away.

We were lucky to get a table on Saturday night so you should book. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was amazing. Best red Thai curry I have had for ages. Take your own alcohol. Prices very reasonable.

Although the food was a bit too spicy (we ordered the ones with 3 chilli!), my friends and I agreed it was so flavourful and tasty. Customer service was excellent. We'll definitely come again!

Lovely delicious Thai food in Manchester. I had the pad Thai whichwnas fresh and the server allowed me to have both chicken and prawn. With an extra charge of course. My friend had the Pad Kee Mao and said it was a little oily but tasty. It hit the spot. Well be sure to come back if we are in Manchester. Recommend it.

What a wonderful place to find on our trip! The service was wonderful and very kind. The food did not disappoint, the mixed starter was tasty. They also allow you to bring your own alcohol. They offer a full menu of mocktails to accompany it. All the rices were fabulous! Merry Christmas!

A great place for dinner whether for 1 or with company. Their pad Thai was delicious. Only chicken is halal at this restaurant which is a bit disappointing as most meat are halal at Try Thai nearby. But they have prawn here which is good. My only complain is that perhaps the owner could install the auto closing mechanism for door as it is a bit annoying sitting close to the door being left opened constantly.

This Thai restaurant is located in the China Town of Manchester City. It provides authentic Thai dishes. Food is yummy esp. the mixed starter and iced Thai milk tea with whipped cream. Price is reasonable and the service is good. Will definitely go there again.
