Only table available was for bar snacks which we accepted happily . As bar snacks go the choice was good and they were fairly tasty. The staff seemed understaffed. We waited for a drink twice . Waited for the bill a long time asked twice . Table water was warm it's not really rocket science to put ice in it . No seasoning on the table this I would have thought standard so you dont have to ask . Over all would I go back Yes! Decor was lovely and the lady who served us made the experience worth while very knowledgeable and help ful . Wished I'd caught her name to give her some well deserved praise .

We’ve been before but that was a while ago and they’d squeezed us in as we hadn’t booked. This time booked, arrived 30 mins early, no problem and lovely table upstairs. Fabulous food. Fabulous service, don’t know his name, but very good. One of the dishes was very slow to come out, ages after the other tapas. Worth waiting for (twice cooked lamb) and was knocked off bill without asking but we would have been happy to pay for it. Only downside is the service charge added to the bill, regardless of table size. Plus the toilets are insane- the mirrors are very disconcerting and the gender labels are almost unreadable so it’s really unclear where to go.

Had meal for four of us on Saturday night, we were warmly greeted at the door and whilst waiting for one of our party had a drink at the bar, we dined upstairs where the service was excellent, the tapas dishes were amazing, we had a wide and varied selection from breads and olive oil to black rice, lamb, chicken, calamari, potatas bravos plus plus and all were so tasty! We all enjoyed it so much and although we're not local would return again.

When I walked through the entrance of Ibérica’s Manchester restaurant on Easter Sunday afternoon, I was feeling pretty special. And so I should have done, being my 30th birthday and all. After winning a little Instagram competition over on Ibérica’s page, I decided to use my £50 voucher prize towards a tasty tapas birthday lunch – and it turned out to be the perfect choice.

In all my trips to Manchester I've somehow never noticed Iberica...ridiculous I know. After seeing the pics of the octopus it seemed only fair we go and enjoy this for ourselves. The decor is nice and modern, and as our table wasn't ready, we were sat at the bar. I had a delicious cava sangria. The menu has a lot of choice, including various cheeses and hams. We went for a mix up to share-chorizo lollipops, octopus, calamari, pork sliders and ham. I can't tell you how good those chorizo lollipops are...and the octopus was as good in real life. All washed down with a hefty pitcher of sangria...job done.

It’s not everyday you get the chance to eat dishes from several of the world’s best chefs in the same place at the same time. But a few weeks ago I did exactly that after being invited to the press launch of ‘Great Chefs, Great Causes’ at Ibérica in Spinningfields.
Of course, Albert Adrià and Joan Roca of El Celler de Can Roca didn’t rock up in Manchester to cook for us personally. But along with 12 other chefs from the World’s 50 Best Restaurants they each provided a signature recipe which will be available on a rotating basis from Ibérica until 6th September, with profits shared amongst the chef’s chosen charities.

After a couple of drinks at the bar we were seated upstairs and the first dish soon arrived.
‘Oysters with cucumber & lychee’ is an usual combination but one that really works.

Great Chefs, Great Causes at Ibérica, Manchester.

I had the pleasure to be invited along to the 'World's Best Chefs' press launch at Ibérica a couple of weeks ago and what I experienced was fantastic.

Favourite is not always the same as 'the best regarded' or the grandest. Favourite for me, covers places that we've loved, often smaller, perhaps less well known restaurants. They all have excellent cuisine (some have Michelin stars) and can represent superb value for money. Many of these restaurants are highly regarded in Spain but maybe unfairly overlooked by foreign food tourists and don't appear on the 50 Best Awards. In most cases they're well underrated but are at the top of our favourite lists.1. Aponiente, El Puerto de Santa Maria near Cádiz.I never tire of  championing this revolutionary seafood restaurant. If you google it, there are few English reviews outside of mine. It's strange as chef Ángel León is a TV star over there. In our opinion it should be regarded as amongst the finest in Spain and the world. A third Michelin star will most definitely help with that should that be forthcoming. It should be at the top of your 'to eat' list along with the likes of DiverXo and El Celler de Can Roca.. They are moving to larger premises in September so we hope to return again.

I head back to Spain a fair few times each year to see family or rediscover the concept of sunshine. Each visit back to the motherland sees the two of us spend far too many lunches at one of the local tapas bars of southern Spain.  . You would think that I'd have had my fill of tapas by the time we return to England, but this isn't the case. Spanish cuisine (the best in the World) draws me in like a bull to a matador's cape.

The gap between tapas restaurants over here and in Spain used to be huge. Both in terms of variety but most importantly for me, with the quality of the product which has always been paramount in Spain. I used to visit Madrid in the early 90's and be amazed at the variety of seafood on offer. Most likely much of it was fished off Scottish waters and exported over there in huge quantities. Meanwhile we were left with rubbery squid and boring patatas bloody bravas. The difference was striking. In recent years there's been an explosion of quality Spanish restaurants opening in London; Brindisa, Barrafina, Moro, and Ibérica etc. So to say the arrival of Ibérica to Manchester has been highly anticipated would be an understatement. It's been a long time coming.  We went twice last week and I'll nail my colours to the mast early on; it was excellent. At first we're not too keen on the glitzy ground floor bar area. It's only 4.30 and already it's rammed with suits. The site of the camera has heads swivelling round my way. We move upstairs which we much prefer, especially the more private booths down one side. It's like a completely different restaurant up there. We kick off with Fried Chorizo Lollipops with pear alioli sauce (£5). What's not to love about these? They're gone in one juicy, deep fried mouthful.

We really enjoyed dinner here. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was really good and our favourite was the iberico pork. So tender and juicy. The only one thing to bring manager’s attention - we were sitting on the upper floor and the chair was very uncomfortable. (Too low compared to the table) We had to ask the change the chair for us. Otherwise, good atmosphere, good food, good wine list.

Food was very tasty and nice drinks to accompany it, nice location and spacious inside. Beware of the tables they are very light drinks will be spilled if not careful. I would say slightly overpriced for what you got. Also was not happy with the 14% service fee placed on the bill without notification, staff were friendly however so we would have tipped well but would be nice to have the option.

Really good and well made food, good choice of cocktails. The prices are a bit expensive but not outrageous More staff may be needed on weekends as mistakes were made (a beer forgotten to arrive and a couple of plates slow to arrive)

What a lovely restaurant! The interior is stunning and the service impeccable. Oscar our server was very helpful and guided us on which tapas to get. We ordered three each (thinking it'll be too little) however their serving sizes for each tapas was quite large. Particularly for the price this place is quite a decent place to visit on a night out. The lovely staff even gave us some Pacheron on the house to cap a great meal. If you are in Manchester please do give this place a visit! We are in Manchester for another week and already decided to revisit!

Food here tastes really good, but it's quite expensive. Came here for the 50% off January deal and the bill still came to £20 per head and it didn't even fill me up! Service was also awful but I'm still happy enough with the experience due to the quality of the food itself.

Another fantastic event at this great restaurant. We were taught about slicing Iberico jamon and the different cuts available on the leg, a Gin cocktail master class, some beautiful tapas and to round it off a Valancian Paella and tips on making our own. The wine, service, food and company was excellent.

We went to Ibérica in Spinningfields a couple of weeks ago for a midweek meal. Honestly I cannot fault it, we were seated upstairs on a spacious table next to the window, the food was absolutely amazing, the staff were attentive, polite and the service they provided was excellent. I enjoyed the food so much that I forgot to photograph the subsequent tapas dishes we ordered. The octopus was a really decent size (recommend it, and if you're new to it, do try it. My partner is sometimes put off if he can see the tentacle, but after a bite he wanted to share the dish.) which isn't always the case in the UK. I had a mocktail during my meal, which was delicious. Sometimes mocktails can just be a couple of juices and a lime, but a lot of thought has gone into their non-alcoholic drinks. Lastly, when we finished the meal (complete with a portion of churros to share, because 'when in Rome') the waiter brought us a shot of a hazelnut liqueur on the house, which was a beautiful way to finish the meal. We will definitely be back for my 30th.

I want to say this is hands down the best restaurant I have been to in Manchester. It's more expensive than the casual mid-range restaurants accross the city but worth it for a special occasion. I went here for my Birthday meal and got a surprize churros too. It was brilliant food, absolutely every tapas was made very high quality, especially liked the croquettes, fried courgettes, and patatas bravas. Brilliant place. Interior very fancy, service is great. No down points at all.

I was surprised at the size of this place, with two large floors of dining area. The staff are super welcoming and our group was sat upstairs. This was a good spot if you’re wanting more privacy but the fact there’s a bar upstairs means there’s no less service. The decor throughout is unique and feels more like an independent restaurant than a chain. The menu is extensive and the tapas style dishes are great for a social dining experience when you’re in a group. Portion sizes were alright but things did get a bit pricey if you’re looking to have a truly filling meal. Drinks weren’t as bad though and it’s nice for some authentic options to be available. The table was large enough for our group and everything was clean. Toilets are large too and although there was a problem with the lighting during our visit they were still clean. Overall it was a nice sociable and enjoyable meal and for I’d happily return especially as a group experience.

Delicious meal and setting for my birthday dinner. Waiter was knowledgeable and friendly and the food was tasty. I know that they state the food will be served when ready as the way of tapas but all the dishes came within 10 minutes but a final single dish then arrived 20 minutes after we had finished all the other food which felt a bit odd and we didn't really like the significantly longer wait at what felt like the end of the dinner. Other than that great meal though.
