Fantastic Food & Excellent Staff
Received a gift card for this restaurant so decided to use it on a Sunday for our lunch, glad we did, we were greeted by the most polite barman, after we decided to make our way upstairs for our lunch we were shown to a table by the window & ordered 'Parrillada de Carne' (mixed meat) platter for 2, my word it was filling & absolutely delicious, the staff here are very welcoming & polite - many thanks Lunya we will be going back again.
A great combination. Unfortunately we had already eaten lunch when we walked through the arcade so had very little room for food, but the authentic look of the restaurant and the promise of chocolate con churros pulled us in. We ordered with a very pleasant waiter and another one just as friendly delivered our food. It was probably the best chocolate con churros we have had even after many trips to much of Spain. We will definitely go back to try more of the menu.
Lunch at Lunya is low-key and comfortable with a nice selection of good quality Spanish fare. The great produce comes from a nearby deli.
You can access it from the arcade, and I'd recommend the upstairs if you are with a group.
With one of Manchesterās best coffee shops, one of the best barbers (with admittedly questionable attitudes towards women), and soon to be one of Manchesterās best steakhouses; the Barton Arcade in Manchester is fast becoming a ādestinationā in itself. However, without a shadow of a doubt the most exciting new opening in the beautiful building is that of Lunya, a perfect slice of Catalan in Manchester.
It's been well over a year since our trip to Lunya in Liverpool so we've been eagerly looking forward to it opening here in Manchester. This is a part of a new wave of quality Spanish restaurants signifying the next level or two up from the likes of crap and cheap chains like La Tasca. The thing about these guys like IbƩrica and Levanter is that they really understand Spanish food always begins with the very finest products not from Industrial 'food' suppliers like Brakes. We blagged our way into the family and friends only soft opening yesterday ("I claim I know Peter", the boss, like a teenager at a party, even though I'd only met him once). We had a selection of excellent tapas and superb Suckling Pig, cochinillo asado, famously from Segovia.
Excellent if almost overwhelming choice on the menu, everything was great! Tried the fried goats cheese by recommendation and I was not disappointed! (Caution if you're not a strong cheese lover) š§š
Ordered a meat dish as a veggie option. Received the dish with meat inside. The staff was immediately very accommodating and offered to get it redone without meat. We also enjoyed complimentary drinks - great customer service!
Excellent food. Not normally a desert person but the white chocolate cheesecake blew me away. Service was not as attentive as it could be, we struggled to ask for the bill, but perhaps this is because there was only a single waiter serving many tables
Delicious food and quick service. Lovely staff. The desserts platter is perfect for 3. Nice atmosphere and decorations.
Fantastic food and service! With in-store deli. Got the Ā£25 menu, got wave after wave of tapas. Had to ask how many more were coming as we were getting full. Great value.
Food was really good, staff were helpful and pleasant, the restaurant was colourful ,would definitely go again
Always a nice friendly reception and really enjoyed our meal. They have a pretty decent beer selection too. We had the lamb with lentils and steak skewers as well as a sharing platter.
Good service and good quality and it is not expensive so well worth a visit if you're in town.
A little piece of classic Spain in the middle of Manchester. Serving traditional Spanish food and great wine and beer. I love the roll top bar for snacks and drinks.
Great deli good choice little pricey but u get what you pay for got some meat and cheese and they were tasty some different cheeses here but worth the risk. Cocktails and olives also sooo good
Everything I want from a restaurant- great bar with staff that want you to enjoy what you're drinking, good wine list, delicious food, friendly service, menu big enough to keep you coming back but not unfocussed. Will definitely, definitely be back.
