Excellent meal and friendly service, will definitely be returning . Roast beef dinner was excellent and beef cooked to perfection! Great Sunday lunch
This week I was invited to stay at Manchester’s coolest new hotel – Hotel Indigo. The gorgeous Victorian building sits conveniently right next to Victoria train station, offering 187 contemporary bedrooms, coffee lounge, restaurant and cocktail bar. After a quick check-in we headed up to our room for the night. The bedrooms are super spacious and include plenty of special touches to make you feel totally comfortable and at home. Hotel Indigo had also left me the cutest hamper full of goodies including H2K of Harrogate pamper products, Salford Roasters Coffee, and some I LOVE MCR treats amongst others.
Had a lovely few days at the hotel. Excellent service at the bar and really enjoyed the linguine. Cameron looked after us so well and makes great cocktails. Really friendly service.
The most deeelish vegan burger I have ever tasted! My lovely friend reported the tuna salad was also amazing. Lovely service made the whole experience truly memorable. Thank you x
Really impressed! The atmosphere is really upbeat and as a single diner I was welcomed and got a nice table.
Had a drink at the bar quite late last night and the staff were excellent. I can't remember the lady's name, but she is tall with blonde hair - just brilliant. What stood out for me was when a member of the team was leaving she thanked them for the day and praised their work. As a hotel manager myself I thought it was really sweet and she was exceptional!
Very nice place for food and seating. Booked a table for 3 with the little one. Very accommodating and service was excellent. My son loved the pasta. We had the fish and chips which was amazing. Not over priced considering the location. I would highly recommend this place
A fantastic experience from start to finish. A team with so much warmth and passion, a big shout out to Iryna and Marsi for the brilliant service and to Adrian for being so welcoming. The portions of the food were huge and every dish was absolutely delicious. I recommend this spot to everyone ☺️
I was intrigue from my daily commute to see a lot of people dining for breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. And has read highly recommended reviews from food critics. True enough, me and my family were not let down with our first experience celebrating a special occasion. Pleasing and wonderful staff added a special treat! We will definitely be coming back for
more!
The atmosphere here is lovely and the food is incredible. I had a mushroom and roquette pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The tomato sauce base was just perfect. I had a side of onion rings and it was actually a sizeable portion that two people could share, not just the 3/4 onion rings you seem to get in most places these days. Loved my experience here and would definitely return.
The atmosphere and servers are great in the place there’s is plenty of room and you aren’t crammed in next to each other.
Food is reasonably priced and very tasty but just needs that extra few things on the menu for me however what we had was great.
Unfortunately my food came wrong I ordered chicken and I was given a burger. They were hugely apologetic and stated they would get me the chicken however I would have to wait an extra ten minutes when our party already had their food infront of them. I opted for the burger as it did look lovely and I didn’t want to wait.
The burger was very tasty and due to the mistake they provided my meal free and gave me a free drink which I was very shocked about but showed it was a genuine mistake.
The 8 of us that went here all commented on such a nice night they all had.
Would definately recommend and would certainly revisit.
The location is perfect if attending the arena or the train station.
I went to try the pie sharing platter that is available this March. For £50 you can feed four with and incredible sharing platter with 4 pies, Manchester Caviar (mushy peas), onions rings, carrots and fries. Oh and served with unlimited gravy. The line up was:
1. Pot roast chicken, bacon and peas
2. 14 hour braised local beef and ale
3. Sweet potato, pearl barley and kale
4. Classic Lancashire cheese and onion
My favourite was the beef and ale as the ammount of meat in their was unreal. The beef was rich and made for a decent pie. Each pie was absolutely amazing in its own way, I unfortunately didn't get a picture of the sweet potato pie but I can tell you that it was the most flavoursome in my opinion. To be honest it was hard choosing as each pie was fantastic.
Once finished we chose our favourite pie to stay on the menu.
I need to head back here and check out the regular menu
Very nice starter and dessert, the Sunday roast was a little underwhelming. 3 course meal for £20 however is good value, and for £10 more you can have unlimited wine.
Nice venue and friendly staff.
Five stars with room for improvement but they're only tiny niggles.
The food was top notch, naturally, and the atmosphere created by the guitarist playing and singing along in the background makes things very relaxed. Which is perpetuated by the pace of eating. Service is prompt but never feels rushed.
Belated birthday lunch @mamuciummcr with my old friend and high school French tutor now actor and writer of all things #PeterlooMassacre
.
What an absolutely gorgeous lunch catch up today.
.
I remember the site when it was a post office way back in the 80s with my first job in #thecornexchange .
Today, all I can say is you are keeping the Manchester style alive. The staff are amazing, professional and attentive without rushing us. The food was delicious. I feel spoilt. I don't get back into Manchester enough any more, but to come in today was absolutely worth it. Class without pretention.

Only visited the cafe side for a coffee but, slow service aside (poor lass was rushed off her feet), the drink was spot on and worth the wait. Cakes etc looked good and are reasonably-priced too.
Interior really well done, especially the feature atrium, and the restaurant looks good (and currently has a really great deal on with 3 courses and wine for £20pp), toilets clean etc
Good food and really friendly staff. I was one of the only people there at 5pm so very quiet. The only bad thing is that it was expensive.
Mamucium gives you those pies, pies and pies
Mamucium, the restaurant on the bottom floor of Hotel Indigo is an airy, curved hotel in the centre of Manchester with a rustic theme and really, comfy seats.
For Pie week turning into pie month, Mamucium are offering a special pie menu for March where you can get a pie, side and unlimited gravy £12.50 and if you want an additional side, it comes to £15. There’s another option of a sharers board for £50, which we were provided with.
For the pies, we got a double whammy of;
\Sweet Potato, Pearl Barley & Kale (v) - The kale was strong on this one but such a good mixture of items to be in a pie. It had really nice flavours and was really filling
\Classic Lancashire Cheese & Onion (v) - It sure was a classic and a gooey, creamy and oozing one with goodness.
For the sides we had;
\Honey Roasted Chantenay Carrots - Small, fat crunchy pieces of flavourful carrots. One of those sides that you just munch on and thoroughly enjoy doing so.
\Manchester Caviar (Mushy Peas) - This reminded us of the lovely mushy peas we had at Harvey Nicks. The same description goes for these and was mushy, greeny and tasted fresh
\Creamy Mash Potatoes - Another classic that was done well. Creamy and a perfect side dish
\Hand-Cut Fries - Classic fries, soft and crunchy
\Joseph Holts Beer Battered Onion Rings - This contains beer and can be substituted for another item
The gravy wasn’t vegetarian so they made us an alternative Romesco sauce, It’s bold, zippy and full of roasted tomato and pepper flavour.
Recommended for: Pies, Romesco sauce, Comfy seats
One Thing: Side plates
Price: ££
Halal: Vegetarian
Nipped in for lunch and drinks and very impressed. The food was lovely with generous portions together with a decent wine list. Staff were really friendly and attractive and highly professional. For a mid city venue the prices were quite reasonable. Highly recommend a visit!
Booked in in a Thursday evening for a work function for 20 people. Very impressed! From the start they couldn’t have been more helpful - Adrian the manager was extremely approachable and worked hard to help set the evening up well including a private area of the restaurant with AV facilities for presentations. He understood our needs perfectly. The food was excellent and many of my visiting international colleagues gave feedback specifically that it was much better than usually expected and these events and that the restaurant was very nice ambience.
Particular shout out to the following members of staff: Cameron, Hirdesh, and Marsi all very friendly and courteous and looked after us very well, going above and beyond to ensure we all had a brilliant time (Cameron even went hunting for European plug adapters for my colleague and I’m so grateful!)
Very much recommended for anyone biking a work function!
