A lovely brunch restaurant hidden in Northern Quarter. I ordered a waffle burger and bananaberry pancakes, also with a hot chocolate. The Waffle Burger is a piece of fried chicken, two layers of beef, and a layer of baked potato sandwiched between two waffles - the fried chicken is very tender, the beef is juicy, and the potatoes are delicious. In comparison, pancakes seem to lack the features to make an impression. However, overall the food at this restaurant I ordered is delicious.

We went in to try the halal afternoon tea but were told we needed to book and give advance notice 24+ plus hours for this. I’ll definitely be doing this in the future.
We stayed and tried the chicken waffle burger and steak potato hash, both of which were super delicious. The steak hash was preferred by my husband and I mainly due to the zing of the sirracha sauce as well as the texture added through the addition of the finely diced red onion and tomatoes. This was all accompanied by the crispy on the outside soft in the middle potatoes, topped off with a perfectly cooked yolky egg, all of which combined led to a pretty perfect meal.
The service was excellent too, Afzal was great with his both his recommendations and friendly demeanour. I’ll 100% be returning next time to try more food, and the halal afternoon tea.
The place is very nice, location is good. A little disapointed with the food. It didn't come out as expected. Steak was supposed to be medium but came out rare and all the food was cold and felt reheated and chewy.
Fress came highly recommended by a friend, and it surpassed all expectations. From the moment I stepped in, the vibrant atmosphere, complemented by great music, set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Despite it being a full house, the staff exhibited remarkable attentiveness and went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten-free, vegan dietary needs.
Not only was the service exceptional, but the timing of the food was quick. To my surprise, they even treated me to a complimentary drink in celebration of my birthday, adding a special touch to the day . What truly stood out was the genuine care extended to my brother, who has limited mobility. The staff promptly provided us with a comfortable seating arrangement, ensuring his comfort throughout our visit.
I would definitely come again and recommend others to this establishment if you are in Manchester City centre they're are certainly one of the best.
I recently visited Manchester from London and had the pleasure of trying the afternoon tea here. It was excellent value for money. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff remained attentive throughout our visit. Special thanks to Rubel for ensuring our experience was enjoyable. Highly recommend!
We're about to move into the area and were really hoping for a great local restaurant. We found it. The food was amazing, the staff were so welcoming and had great chat, and the drinks were next level. Looking forward to going back when we move. I'd definitely recommend going here. It's great value for money
Credits to my friend’s recommendation. We went for lunch as she’s not been there for ages. Foods were amazing, staff members were friendly and meticulously asked if we had dietary requirements or allergies. My friend enjoyed her vanilla chai latte a lot. 12/10 would go again.
The food was lovely! The pancake was served in large portion, also the fries in waffle hamburger are delicious. Nice decoration and service. Recommend:)

Great experience here. Found it on maps last minute while on a city break here and visited twice during our 3 days. Food was nice and favourite was the cinnamon crunch French toast. We had various things between us 3 and everyone was happy with their meals
Also the martinis were amazing…honestly ! And with the 2 for 1 offer this was so good

Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. The steak with cheesy chips was especially memorable. Must try! Thank you Afzol and Rubel for looking after us.
Nice and cosy place, staff were friendly and willing to help with our indecisiveness, the food came very quickly considering it was busy at the time, it was so yummy and the portions just right. The waiter had recommended the Paris mocktail, which was divine!!! We would definitely visit again!

My best friend and I's favorite brunch place to go. The food and coffee is amazing, highly recommend the avocado & sourdough. The place is very aesthetic, the staff are lovely and friendly and the tunes are lit. We were served by Rubel today and he was great as always. :)
great place, staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was tasty but i think the pancakes are a little bit dry, other than that the place has a lovely atmosphere and we enjoyed our brunch and coffee , definitely would visit again.
Would visit again. I got the halal full English was very filling, flavourful and perfect on price, not a fan of the mushroom tho. Service was spot on, food time was average and everything tasted freshly made. Desi tea was surprisingly very nice. Atmosphere was calm and welcoming.

staff and the food were incredible! my friend and i were unsure what to order because the menu is that great and the staff were very accommodating with a great sense of humour. we got french toast; steak, chicken wrap and a few drinks. everything was so delicious. i cannot fault fress and cannot wait to travel back
