Fantastic jerk chicken! Dougy’s brings true Caribbean flavor and charm to Moss Side. The jerk chicken is well spice and literally falls of the bone.
We ordered the curry-goat, fresh salad greens, fried chicken, rice and peas and fried dumplings: ital (vegan) stew and plantain to share amongst x20 hungry boys and x7 adults.
The curry-goat was succulent tender cuts of goat-meat, and the curry sauce was rich and robust but not overpowering. The chicken was also seasoned to perfection and all serving bowls were emptied and every plate was clean.
The dumplings were crisp, flavourful, and fluffy. All of the mains worked together beautifully with the plantains and the salad. The coleslaw was packed with flavour and had a great consistency with very little water content. By the end of the meal we were counting down the clock Dougy’s lunch delivery the next day.
First time here and cannot say anything other than absolutely AMAZING.

Ordered jerk chicken which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. Mac n cheese on point too and also purchased their aloe vera drink - incredible palette cleanser after a flavour popping meal.
Cannot wait to go back again... Visit is a must.
This place is amazing. The guy never stopped smiling, never stopped being friendly and fed all 9 of us with the most amazing food. Huge portions, cheap prices and thanks to his mum for dishing out the dumplings. I wish I could come back but I live in London, so if you're nearby- GO!

The food here is peng! I come here whenever I can let me tell you, the owners are doing an excellent job! There steak and rice is delicious would rather eat this wholesome Jamaican food than some unhealthy stuff elsewhere! Their frozen pomegranate is awesome too!
Delicious Jamaican food. Good service and reasonably priced....... (probably due to me being used to London's prices). Options are good as well with a range changing to match the day.... Sunday roast etc. If they were open later on Sundays it would be a plus

Cracking food. Melt in the mouth steak with vegetables and rice and peas, comforting macaroni cheese and to top it off cornflake tart and custard. Tasty, belly-busting food like Mother used to make. Massive quantities and tiny price. The place is legendary.
Outside of the islands you will not find a better jerk chicken.
It's authentic, it's delicious, it's quick and it's filling.
It leaves a taste that makes you want more and a burn that's hot enough for that kick but not too hot it's uncomfortable.
The staff are lovely, they even helped me with a housewarming party and cooked me up a load of jerk especially for it.
Can't recommend it enough!
Great value, authentic West Indian take away. The food is really tasty, the service is pleasant and l found them competitively priced for external catering too. The only Caribbean take away l go to when I'm in Manchester

Walked in around 1-2 in the afternoon on a Monday, ordered the jerk chicken (high grade) & chips and some extra chips so we went outside to wait for our food.
One of the bossman kindly told us sit down relax it will bring the crowd in, with in a couple of minutes the people started to come in at the same time two of our friends came in adding to the acoustics to make the atmosphere.
The food came & good lord it was worth the wait the jerk chicken was on point (high grade chicken) a breast & leg the spices well balanced not overpowering just right with it all just falling off the bone oooft i would come all the time just for the chicken.
Positive note the owner came out & gave our friends a couple of free drinks and & told us about his work & how he helps the youths as well as working with the community he was that good he offered my friends jobs 💯 💯
Overall there is no negative feedback this is a spot at one of his three establishments positive vibes.

The owners of Dougy's are very polite and treat customers with the upmost respect. Also the food tastes wonderful and rich. It is a reasonable price and will surely taste delicious👌🏾
Tried Dougy's today after recently moving to Manchester had the lamb special and it was delicious. The customer service was also brilliant, will definitely going back!
