We had a fab night at the Billy Joel at old Trafford and then got the tram back to Piccadilly Gardens and walked along to the Molly House. the atmosphere in here is always chilled and the bar man was really courteous. I like the smoking veranda were there was some great chat and banter going on. Drinks were reasonably priced. I’ve eaten here also in previous occasions and the food is good as well.
The Molly House is a cracking pub on Richmond Street, running alongside Canal Street and is next door to the very popular Richmond Tea Rooms. The Tea Room was so busy we couldn't get in so had to swap tea for wine (what a shame). There is a very amiable crowd in there, and the bar staff are lovely. The decor upstairs reminds me a little of a hunting lodge with touches of a grannie's front room, downstairs there are larger wooden tables and bare floorboards. The toilets are unisex but nice all the same. There is an outdoor smoking area upstairs too. The bars upstairs and downstairs are resplendent with a large selection of beers and spirits and a really good number of local real ales. We had a quick bite in there - I had a hot beef sandwich with sticky sweet red onion relish in a brioche bun which was just the ticket. Alongside were perfectly cooked chips and my new favourite sweet potato fries. I would definitely recommend this place for eats and drinks.
Always wonderful to go for a drink, finally tried the tapas tonight and it's a wonderful condensed menu of different small plates! All presented lovingly and with attention to detail as well as delicious. Dog friendly which is wonderful so we could bring our family dog. Thanks to Dominic who was very welcoming and friendly throughout our dinner. :)
I arrived there by pure chance this afternoon. Lovely barman introduced the menu to me and I ordered 3 tapas, which were enough to satiate but left me wanting more as they were so delicious (especially the cabbage!). I’m coming back to Manchester just for the tapas. And the lovely barman. And the Krombacher Unfiltered, which was just the icing on the cake. :) 5 stars all the way.

Good Manchester pub about 10 minutes walk from Piccadilly Station. Five cask beers on handpump when I last visited including a stout. There are two bars, one on the ground floor and another up the stairs on the first floor.
Awesome tapas and great beer. Plus that basque cheesecake is one of our favourite desserts ever!
Love this place tucked away! The staff are lovely and looked after our large group so well in the upstairs bar which stocks a wide range of great gins amongst other spirits. I’ve no idea how such a tiny kitchen can produce such tasty tapas but they do! I forgot to take food pics like I normally do - the sign of a great time! I almost didn’t want to review it so I can keep it a secret - but the cat’s out of the bag - it’s a gem!

Absolutely love The Molly House. Will never get tired of visiting, or recommending. Excellent food, full bar, fantastic selection of wines. Cozy and relaxed atmosphere. But most of all the Excellent friendly staff, who went above and beyond today to make a visit extra special.
Had a fabulous mother's day lunch at Molly's House - our host was warm and welcoming and the food exceptional, made with excellent ingredients and cooked with love and care. I'd highly recommend.
Really friendly atmosphere, quieter upstairs so I could do an online meeting with no issues. Nice range of ales and pleasant staff. The venue has a nice vibe.
